If he had studied just for a bit, he would understand that the qur'an was revealed by verses, and not entire Surahs.

This verse he mentioned, was one of the last verses to be revealed to the prophet Mohammad. Later it was arranged in the final copy of the Qur'an, in a surah of Al-maidah.

This also shows the miracle of the qur'an, 23 years of revelations yet when collected together, the quran is perfect!!!!
