Both episodes were extremely messy and confusing, but I'm willing to forgive that as I thought the tenth doctor's regeneration scene was rather brilliant! I'm still a little bit worried about Matt Smith though...

You need to watch it again... I think

And the goodbyes, he is a time lord remember and the sound of the drums is important, and he can't mess with his own time line...

And a lot of the open questions are deliberate set ups so they can be used in later stories.

@Iain1962 Wilf was in that operating thing so I think that made him immune. I think thats a safe bet considering its what killed The Doctor

I think not, many times he is referred to as the Doctor's Dad, my bet is he's not a human but a Time Lord.

But that's what good about Dr Who, there are always open questions...
