  • Peace Sis, could you post what videos you watched to help you with the method because for myself i feel the same way that i would never use that method but now I have 5 year growth an would likesame thing different than plam rolling :)

  • I surely will do so for you this weekend :o)

  • You are very pretty. I love your new hair style, and you look better with contacts.

  • You only say that cause you love me lol But thank you my husband <3

  • Very pretty:)

  • Thank you ThatAngelGurl. :o)

  • you have so much progress!!!! This loc style really suits you

  • I think so too. I can't wait for it to get longer so I can do some pin up styles :o)

  • You look so cute!

  • Thank you Michelle :o)

  • also..its nice to see your face. you look nice with out your glasses. i never noticed how pretty your eyes were before.

  • i love the latching method..i wanna try it on my own hair but i am afraid to latch my own hair. i am great with latching other peoples hair..but i dont know about my own..and i only trust my sis to do my hair but i dont think she will latch it right plus i know she is not gonna take the time to do it..i think i might try latching this week though..i might do some tonight and see.

  • Pheonix, it truly is trial and error lol I did the latching with my fingers first and I did it wrong, then I tried a hand made tool and I got that wrong. I truly was going to give up until I watched this ladies video with the latch hook and saw exactly what I did wrong. I say give it a whirl yourself. I do right to left insertion, then top to bottom insertion, then left to right insertion, and last bottom to top insertion. They came out perfect this way :o)

  • i know how to latch i am just scared to do it on myself..i have latched some in the front but that was cuz i could look in the mirror and see what im doing. im nervous that i might latch the back that i cant see together..i dont know..i still may try it. the ones that i do latch i only do 2pt rotation..i like my locs big and fluffy.

and i dont sit under the dryer when i retwist. i let it air dry..they unraveld a lot at the root in the begining but afer a while they didnt..i can wash

  • i can wash my hair and though they will look puffy the y will still be twisted (though it will look like i need to rewtist lol) but i want to latch because i dont like doing my hair and if i switch to latching i can get away with doing it every other month instead of every 2 weeks or once a month.

  • I think I won't have to relatch until November. That will be very convienant for me :o). And I am told this method lends more freedom this way. I definitely won't have to worry about unraveling twists lol

  • yes and thats one of the reasons i wanna start doing it. i miss how i was able to wet my ahir every day when i first loced i love wetting my hair in the shower (although now that its getting longer its taking longer to dry lol)

  • See I have to remember that part about how tight to make them. I didn't really want thinner locs so i will have to be careful on the next latching.

  • Don't you dare apologize for your skin! We've all been there...some of us are still there! LOL You look adorable and the locs are coming along nicely! Good job!!

  • Thank you DoodyBugg :o) I am quite happy with the hair. You should read some of the messages I get :o(

  • Don't worry Desaundrea, when you get to my age your won't have pimples on your face anymore, as they move to your ass, and no one will be able to see them, lol. ps, I'm not joking.

  • Um ok lol But hubby will see them lmbo

  • You hair looks so cute sis!

  • Thank you Sis :o) My husband says that I replaced his wife with an undercover hotter version of her lol

  • You look so much more younger without the glasses,, and by the way the hair is coming along great.

  • Thank you :o) I have been told this by so many people lol I am still getting mistaken for a teenager. I walked to the store and was stopped by the truancy officer. She asked me why I wasn't in school and told me to show my ID lmao. I should be flattered but this is getting old quick lol

  • hair looks FAB!

  • Thank you :o) I was very happy (and tired lol) when I took the loc loops out.

  • I'm 37 and I still get pimples. Don't worry about it, it's just part of life. You are a wonderful person!

  • Thank you Ebola :o) I will be 35 in December, and I am still having all the hormone problems of a 16 year old lol I wonder when it will end lol

  • D don't apologize for your acne. There is so much more to you then that. True beauty in a woman comes from within and you are helping people with your hair knowledge and personal journey with the locs. I just twist my hair but I like watching your journey. You seemed to be hard on yourself but the process is trial and error. The end result is that your hair looks great so roll with it as you say. :)

  • Thank you Dish :o) My husband said " Screw them if they don't like the way you look. I love you the way you are and THAT is what matters". I beat myself up about the latching because I know better than to knock something before really testing it out. And all I needed to do was find the right vids to watch. But you are right the journey to locs is trial and error. I have definitely learned my errors lol

  • Looking good.

  • Thank you so much :o)
