  • Very easy to follow basic steps; especially if you want to self teach and get it right. Those crappy foot place diagrams are never better than seeing someone DO it.

To critics: if the sequence were longer, it would confuse a beginner by making it harder looking than it really is. If you have to be TOLD when to shift your weight, you should not be trying to learn from a basic footstep vid. And lastly, calling him a "nigger" in 2010-2011 is just plain wrong, check a mirror if you want to resha

  • Expert Village itself has lots of low quality videos but the people demonstrating for them are actually top notch.

  • Happy New Year Everybody! & Happy Dancing :) Miss Kelly

  • 2,3 cha cha cha!!

  • wow this does not help its too short

  • @mejiaveronica This is a repeated motion, so if it's too short.. just play again and you'll see the extended version lol

The steps he's showing are the same for the ladies, they just mirror it (they step forward when you step back, they go left when you go right) but the actual steps are the same

  • expert village is the crappiest thing ive ever seen!

sry trainers of chacha, but this is bullshit^^. i dont know y expert village post so many damn clips.

those clips contain bad and senceless information! <- in my opinion!

  • Im Steeve Jean Louis Originally from Haiti the mal teacher on this video. I just find out about this video, because they spell my name wrong. Kelly called me recently and told me about it. This video is almost 4 years old since they took it. It was my first year in the State; first time dancing with Kelly I Have looked at it and I think I did a good job, but now Im 100 times better then that, my English is better and also my teaching. Ive had a lot of practice and trainings

  • @steevydance you are adorable steve!!!!!!!!!! ;)

  • Wow! His footwork is so brilliant!

  • I wish i had been a ballroom dancer when i was younger....i missed out....what a waste....

  • @4gnrations07 its never too late!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cutest thing was watching my 6-year old nephew and his 5 year old sister dance the cha-cha at a wedding. They did it very well and got lots of hugs & kisses from the bride.

  • YES your right...I dont learn anything in this video.Sorry...:D

  • Why? Oh wait, don't give me an answer. You're not basing that statement on anything rational so whatever answer you could give would be as much bullshit as you are.

Even if dancing was gay, there'd be nothing wrong with that.

  • @Lijacote dancing is neither gay or straight. its just fun for anyone who loves to learn!

  • @lafemmefidele There's a reason I wrote "IF" dancing was gay.

  • @mjkwru why are so many people hung up on ballroom being soposedly 'gay'? people are just to obesessed with the word gay. its like people misuse this word over and over again to describe something they obviously do not enjoy, or they would at least critique the situation with more professional verbage.

  • @lafemmefidele coz ballroom needs soft body, not like the crumping thing... ballroom is better for me... 'cause we dance with girls.. :o

  • Too big steps, but ok

  • Agree! the cha cha and any other ballroom dance are small steps. I take dance every Monday evening. The Hustle is my favorite.

  • i learned that in my danceclass

  • I remember the song the aliens are here dancing the rythm of the cha cha....Los marcianos llegaron ya bailiando el ritmo del cha cha cha...

  • I remember the Cha Cha. When I was a kid I used to do it all wrong. Now I can watch this as many more time just to learn from Steve. Thanks Steve and my best friend Kelly-Ann

  • There's many styles of cha-cha. You probably weren't doing it wrong just different.

  • The girl's "Latin" outfit would get her disqualified in a competition. That IS showing to much skin.

  • No it's not, look at amature comps, they hardly wear much. Wont disqualify them.

  • I personally do compete in ballroom dance. I know that this outfit would probably be showing to much skin.

  • Yeah and i compete in Latin and ballroom. And i've seen girls wear hardly anything. It's lating dancing, my partner has had short revealing dresses. Wouldn't get disqualified.

  • In my experience I believe that this dress is to revealing. I know that girls have revealing dresses but still.

  • Very easy to follow and get the right movesw and techniques

  • hae whats the dance called when you start off holding your partner then you step foward back, foward back, left right, left right, and then u walk to the left and repete. it is sorta 3 beat timing. please help me i need to know the dance name and how to do it

  • Foxtrot? i guess...

  • nah its not its something else

  • maybe a type of cha-cha...

  • Might be Salsa...but if you want to learn get a teacher. You are not going to be able to learn a dance (even an easy one like the salsa) through comments or private messages over YouTube...

  • NOTE: This is International Style. Note the straight left leg on 1 (such as at 0:26)

    ty for sharing!

  • This is SOOOOOO USEFUl!

  • i agree with atgar101,

this is the first time i understood the basic steps!

ive been looking at tons of videos but they're too fast or have distracting extra movements (im a slow learner)

    great work!

  • Excellent video, learned more here then any other dance video. The steps are simple, not confusing and easy to follow. Keep the good work!

  • Great fellows, another great video from you! You look great together!!
