We don't club baby seals we stopped that killing babies in the 80's and we do have a quota on how many seals we can kill. Plus we stopped using clubs, we only use rifles now, over 10 years.

I'm not around when they're slaughtered, but there are regulations in place to make their deaths as humane as possible (stun guns, etc). People are not the problem here, I think it's the seals. I think the seals are the problem. Have you ever watched them hunting fish? They mostly eat their bellies and the other fat areas. (it's regulated by the DFO) Harp seals rank LC (least concern) on the conservation status scale. But I still think the way the sealers go about it is wrong. There are much more humane and less barbaric methods they could be using, but most often they won't shoot them painlessly because a hole in the pelt reduces the profit.

Animals eat other animals all the time to survive, but they do it in a natural way. Which is why I purchase organic, free range meat. I'm not around when they're slaughtered, but there are regulations in place to make their deaths as humane as possible (stun guns, etc). This is needless brutality, & I think that's what many find so hard to accept. And it seems to be all for fur. I can't understand how some could be put off by this yet have no problem with abortion; particularly when you realize how they're performed.

People are not the problem here, I think it's the seals. I think the seals are the problem. Have you ever watched them hunting fish? They mostly eat their bellies and the other fat areas. They don't even use the skins for clothes. Instead they just let it rot. I think the seals should rot. When they grab the fish, there is no quick kill instead they just bite 'em and eat them alive. (it's regulated by the DFO) Harp seals rank LC (least concern) on the conservation status scale. But I still think the way the sealers go about it is wrong. There are much more humane and less barbaric methods they could be using, but most often they won't shoot them painlessly because a hole in the pelt reduces the profit.

I think that Fur coats are ridiculous...WHO would want to wear them anyway? Selfish, evil people that's who. I am sorry but this is just wrong. I mean these people deserve the worst kind of hell there is.
