  • i got a problem in my alarm - when i push the bottom from the alarm away it doesnt work but when i get closer it work ?

  • whats the difference between starter and ignition

  • @NguyenEmpir3 starter is the one that starts the engine, ignition is the one that starts the engine

  • @NguyenEmpir3 whoops haha starter is the one that starts the engine, ignition is the one that starts the starter lol

  • @003Mexicano oh ok thanks. i thought u weren't sane for a sec.

  • moroon

  • Suzuki is not a difficult vehicle, so your application is simple, or should I say simpler than most installs. I did like the music, it is a great song. I agree, $200 is a lot. I would have charged $120 and could be negotiated down to $100. Most shops are out of their mind. For a seasoned tech like me this is about 1hr and 15min.

  • Thanks for all the help!

  • Hey good video man. I ordered the same system and found this video luckily. Im going to be installing mine soon although it is kind of hard to hear you with the music.. but Seems easy enough how you did it. Although one question if my car already has an alarm do i disconnect that? or leave it and install the other alarm. thanks

  • good knowledge! and fair play for doing it yourself!

  • wot happened at 9.20? did a theif run off with your car lol.

just bought 1 of these cant wait to fit it to my e30

  • thanks man. good info. all i needed to install mines.

  • Yo! Pimpin', that was a great video. Thank you for the info. STAY UP! Bless!

  • nice vid thanks

  • hey, where can i find the sheet for my car?

  • YOUR A PROFESSIONAL! now show me step by step on my dodge ram.

  • wow thanks for showing me how to disarm you vehicle and steal it. lol. for your first time you did some what decent. but dont ever run ur siren wire in plain site. that almost looks like my very first alarm install about 8 yrs. ago, but mine was nicer. haha. but really i'm impressed for a DIYer. good job.

  • for this not to be a "how to video" this helped me out alot.

    Thanks homie.

  • Why do you have the engine sensor up at the top!?!?!

That will be no use they could easy open the engine bay without it going off?

Place it down the front if you want to make it usefull.

  • Dude thank you for this clip but watch out for the pros the are mad at we call em haters lol good job saved me 400bucks i can use for hid

  • Nice job mate, and thanks for the info!

  • I did my own car my self too it's really not that hard. the experts just say its hard so they can get some money. I found out using Scotchlocks/splice connectors is a lot easier than soldering the wires together because if you make a mistake you can take the connector off without damaging the wire too much.

Also not too big a porblem in the USA, but here in england were most cars are manual, do not leave your car in gear when you have remote start. This can totaly wreck your car.

  • Good Video.

  • Hello Sir,

How are you? Well, I have already gave the car to Car Engineer but they refuse to fixed the Alarm starter module. Because they said, if they put that module the car can face problems and at the same time, they said I can not use the remote to start the car unless i insert the car key. So in this cause, I want to give you the details of that alarm and check for me where to put that module. Details of Alarm: Carvox two-way car alarm ( Remote engine starter ) CX-999 . Audi A6/2000

  • hey man god video, however i didnt have the time to install my 5303. I wanted to ask if you have had any problems losing your signal range. I had mine professionaly install and he seems to think that is normal. I have had to walk withine 3 feet of the jeep to get it to work(after repeatedly sending a signal) I would appreciate any feed back, thanks again... Brian

  • Great Video this will help a lot of people who are installing their own alarms and starter. Keep up the good work.

  • nice video bro, i remember when i did my first alarm on my truck

  • why is everyone talking so much shit.........he made a really helpful video and i think he did pretty well for a first time job. yea, some of it could have been more professional, but he obviously doesn't do this for a living and did a pretty solid job for someone that lacked experience.

  • looks hard but I'm gonna give it a try soon.

  • damn good video. thanks a lot for this brother

  • Musisz zainwestować w większa gasnice. Jakość twojego montażu porażająca. Klebowisko kabli niepotasmowane wiazki. Amatorszczyzna

  • good job!

  • Great overview for brainstorming. Thanks for video bro.!

  • Great overview for brainstorming. Thanks for Video bro.

  • I'm thinking about a Scytek Astra 777. How's your Scytek working out for you so far?

  • thanx i hope i can do it , love the music

  • yo good for you man i think they is too much haters on the internet i tryed to get the install guide from the peeps i bought my system from(python991) and they told me i need pro install but i am going to do it my self no

  • Great Job...

  • plz dont drill any holes into you car chassis

someone should also delete all u2 shit off from the intertubes

  • Comment removed

  • i wish i knew anything about wires and all that...its nice that you did it by yourself..wish i would lol

  • What kind of alarm was that send me a message.

  • so basically its a huge pain in the ass

those wire strippers were slick tho, i like that idea

  • I think u like to dril holes in car too much

  • What kind of system was it?

  • where did u find your diagram?

  • Not bad even the pro's do things i dislike! Real pro's repaint the drilled holes but first etch prime.

  • I (L) U, VIDEO A BIG HELP.

    Im going to sub you.

  • nice job man

its really impressive that you installed this by yourself

    don't listen to any a-holes

  • @TheCrichen if it was just an alarm it would kind of been ok, but considering it has remote start different story

  • its a very good video i learn alot but the music in the background is pretty annnoying

  • Awesome work, thanks for sharing this info with us.

  • Looks good for your first time. You should use black ties under the hood and loom your wires to give it a factory look and use a grommets for the fire wall cuz sometimes the wire will rub on the metal and make the siren to short out or hood pin to. Change out the hood pin switch for a metal one in time plastic will brake.

  • good video shame i didnt find what i was lokkin for though! *****

  • is there an easy way to get the speaker mounted, cause I have such tight spaces to work with to put the speaker in, and I can not fit a drill in it

  • hey really good video it was explained better then alot of videos out there....

  • I am half way done with my install

  • Good video. The wire splitting tip was great.

  • Dude +10 points for actually soldering your connection instead of using cheap T-Taps like bestbuy or installers who dont know better or are too lazy. Especially with the remote start part of it because the starter wire pulls to much current for t-taps

  • none of your wires are wrapped/hidden.. I could steal your car in less than 2 mins.. and disable your alarm in second! who makes that equipment?! There are no names on anything! bestbuy installs this kind of equipment and is certifies/warantee their work.. i give you props on trying though

  • at least with my 2 way alarm if you do get in it will tell me, even after you would pull the power or screw with anything

  • that wasnt too bad for being the first install. there were some mistakes though.

  • Weak comment. Are you just trying to prove you know more? For a first install this guy cleaned it up nice and did a tough install. Props to him

  • an install on ANY Toyota in not tough...their one of the easiest cars to do installs on.

  • I had the 5901 install on my mazda 3 2010 but the technicain did not know how to work the locks to lock and unlock i'm using the mazda remote to lock my car and the viper remote tto arm it and disarm do you know why

  • Thanks for nice video, very well explained. Can you plz upload how to video as well. My remote stoped working after a year and i wana install it myself and cant find any do it yourself video. Thnx

  • thanks mate

  • Nice Vid, I made a video about installing a VIPER remote starter hope it helps pple out as well

  • I bought one for my e46 04, took it to a place and they told me I need an extra part that will cost me another 100 bucks and sacrifice a valet key. They charging me 250 total with the installation.

  • Your imaginary friends hates me?

  • use grommets, cover the wires with 3m electrical tape to protect and hide them. use a multi meter to test wires before actually making connections, the brain should be mounted high in the dash to avoid easy access. mount the shock sensor on a main wire harness under the dash. the alarm should trigger if someone breaks the window attempting to steal the vehicle while under the remote start mode, which will shutdown the vehicle. finally pay the money to take it to a professional.

  • Great video, but I recommend using wire nuts when you can instead of electrical tape (and maybe solder). It will make for an easier removal if needed in the future.

  • @spankmymang0 You have a piece of your brain missing. Do people laugh at you when you talk?

  • wow that looks verry professional!

  • Lololol I like your sarcasm.

  • i was serious it does...

  • Good job , learn on your own car just be cautious.

  • Nice video... Can you please tell me where you got your info sheet from for your car?

    Thanks.

  • smh.

  • great job man

  • Good vid, didn't know about the wire stripper

  • thx for the video, what if i dont wanna use the alarm speaker that it comes with the alarm can i use the car horn instet.

  • thanks djajwan ,, you hit the nail right on the head .. i really hated the music so anoying ... and you ....jipully why do you need the music ..what makes you think about music . are you learning how to play piano .. or guitar.. i really got so angry because i wanted to hear every word you said but the music killed it any ways god blesss you and thank please next time no music .... your voice is enough and the knowldge is enough.. thanks

  • I never really meant for this to be a serious video. I don't even really know what I'm doing. Im just a guy who what told that there no way I could install my own car alarm with remote start. I assumed I couldn't be that hard and I was right. I made the video because when I was looking I couldn't really find much on the net. I never thought this many people would even look at this. so far 25k views and youtube sent be a revenue sharing invite. keep the comments coming soon I will be paid! lol

  • @jpulley lol no affence but lets just hope your car is not by kids in the road or something like that this stuff scares the shit out of me, unless you know exactly what you are doin leave to the pros

  • you should use some 3m cocking (monkey snot) when putting anything thru the firewall.

  • Dude that is help full

  • Hey man nice, But i noticed when you armed you're car, you're door was open. Did you not use the door pin input? Should just diode isolate each door, then run it. so all four, or two doors will trip the alarm.

  • where can i find those 'test sheets'??...I have an Alfa Romeo 156 1.6 T.Spark...Thanks

  • good vid

  • i think im gonna have nightmares about that wiring job. no grommets in the firewall, no tape or loom under the hood. blah. leave it to the pros please

  • @audiosecuritysystems thank you, i agree. thats what were here for. lol

  • lol, its way to expensive to get the pro's to do it for you

  • I would have had the pros do it if I had the money. At the time I was broke. I went to a install shop and it was going to cost me over $200. i asked him is this something I could do myself and they told me no way. You couldn't do this on your own. So I was pissed like they guy thought I was dumb or something. so I did my own install.

  • i like that attitude lol

  • i could hear, lol

  • kudos for that 2pac

  • You are awesome. Not only is your wife lucky to have a man that will take care of ehr like this, but you're also selfless enough to the public to make this valuable information available. While you had everything apart, you should swap the factory speakers for a nice component set :)

  • u should have removed some paint on the ground...

  • Thank you that was very helpfull :)

  • Where did you get ur wire sheet where it tells you the cables and colors and where they are located? I really need one for my car. It's a 1986 plymouth caravelle. Let me know, Thanks

  • Question? First time installing the same alarm and got everything almost figured out, except: If this alarm is equiped with anti-theft bypass module... How did you went about that? did you got the bypass module or is it included into this alarm.?

    thanks!

  • This alarm system does not have a bypass. I think every car make will have its own bypass module.

  • can u change the sensitvity level for the alarm? cause i dont wanna knock on the window and the alarm goes off!

  • what kinda car do you have?

  • Good install. I think you did everything correctly. Only thing I would do is try to run the wires under the hood to keep them hidden. Dont forget to put some protection around them also to make them look factory.

  • thats how i did it. from looking at my engine bay you cant tell anything from stock except the hood pin which is obviously after market. even put the siren inside the fender so it cant be reached or easily silenced

  • leave it to the professionals...

  • what if the theif, cuts the connection to the alarm. How is it going to function. Will it be still capable of sending the page.

  • btw great spot for the brain...seems like im going to have to relocate mine lol. My brain is mounted behind the radio

  • I just installed a remote start not to long ago . And I think you did a really great job on yours. Especially with the hood pin because lots of people forget that. And working at an oil change place, myself, that would be some scary shit if a car started by itself while I'm trying to reach the oil filter.

Although on my installation I didnt solder, which. Instead I used wire taps (little easier) . And I only paid $27 for my remote start system. Also I have a suzuki too. :) Check out my vids

  • Although I recommend everyone solder. Cause wire taps can bite you in the ass down the road sometimes lol.

  • wow that wire stripper is one handy tool

  • did you have to get a by pass.

  • hey where did u get the tech sheet from?? i really need one for a 92 crown vic.

  • you can get good one of ebay uk MotorGuardUK do a check for that name on ebay...i got one for 2001 jimmy and it has all the hook wires i am doing a viper 5091 next week!

  • u did a good job man ive been thinking about doing mine but when i look at all those wires..... its like hell naw

  • i just got mine installed at injen racing.

  • Just curious, how much did it cost to have it installed? Was wondering how much I saved

  • 100 dollars all together(with car alarm and installation

  • Fucking nice, Can you install it for me! :d

Only prob is i live in UK

  • really man... you really shouldnt be telling all these people watching your video where your brain and shock sensors are......

  • what in the fuck difference does it make. The brain and shock sensor are right under the steering column 99% of the time and if you can break into a car and tear out the brain without notice you got some talent

  • Nobody is going to watch this youtube video and then go wow I think I could steal that car. There nothing special in that car that people would want to take out, and I really don't think people go out to steal a grand vitara. With so many cars with no alram at all why would someone choose a car with nothing special in it or on it to try to take. I installed this mainly so my wife could warm up her car before she got into it.

  • I got alarm system with wires going to starter but I don't think my alarm syste, will start my car remotely. So I asked myself : why those wires are connecting with starter ?

  • its prob a cat 1 alarm

  • why didn't you put your shock sensor in the middle of the car along the center console? Is it able to sense the back right doors and trunk still? did you have to turn down the sensitivity to the drivers door?

  • Hey, I'm a newbie I didn't know where is supposed to go. I just know when you hit the car you will get a warning cherp and hit it card enough it will go off. Why would I would to turn down the sensitivity to the drivers door? Thats where most people would enter the car anyway.

  • are alll the wires that are comeing from the alam unit black wires?

  • No, if you see at 2:00 in the video there are many colors. There only like one system that I know of that has all black wires and it can only be installed by the people who made it. They won't give the info out on which wire does what.

  • whats better factory immobilsers or after market

  • I don't know, like I said before I'm a noob. I just made the video because when I would looking for videos on this I couldn't find much. go to (the12voltdotcom) they are experts. Its a forum, that's where I got a lot of my info from.

  • how long would it take you to bypass the immobliiser in that car

  • I don't know I've never done it before but I think it would take me about 30mins to an hour once I had all the panels off and wires out. Its all about knowing which wire is which and the location of the wire. You could spend hours trying to determind if a wire is the correct one. Once you know where to hook something up it just takes seconds to make the connection.

  • 30 minutes to an hour huh. I guarantee if youve never done a remote start before it WILL take you a day at least to do it. Ive been installing remote starts for years and Ive never done one in an hour. The wires for everything arent just right there. Its not just hooking up ignition wires, you got your tach, BCM, factory disarm, programing the bypass, door triggers, etc. Its not like puttin a deck in. You try it out, make sure you count your tears you cry and let me know

  • I was talking about 30 mins to a hour for the bypass. I did take me about 8+ hours over 2 days to hook up this system which is my first install. I made the video because when I was doing research I couldn't find many helpful videos on the web.

  • you are definately right i have been doing a lot of research and i was unable to find anything at all a few months ago. but now that i've seen this i'm going to go ahead and do mine. i have an astra as well for one of my cars and a viper for another one. i have one question though did you have to use any relays? if so what for? thanks for the video its real helpful.

  • Comment removed

  • What forum did you find the diagram for the actual remote system?

I need a diagram for my 5bcr03 bu I cant find it anywhere!

  • Try bulldog securitydotcom they have free diagrams for just about every car.

  • but how about diesel cars, you must make it hot befor starting

  • There are special alarms that are for diesel engines. I'm no expert but I guess that's exactly what they do that's different for the regular ones.

  • for diesels it has a wait to start function that basically waits until the glow plugs (diesels dont have spark plugs) are warm to actually start the engine. in a gas engine the spark needs to be created and the starter motor needs to work to get the car started. so thats the difference.

  • all alarms will work there are just different modes and wires to select

  • not bad for a first install. i would definitely brush up on hiding your wires and or wrapping them up to look like factory harness. and for small connections that don't flow amps i would use a t-tap with a quick connect male spade. that way you dont have to go cutting in the factory wires.

    nice job though...

  • Most likely on your car you have some kind of factory theft deterrent and you might have to buy and install an override for that making the whole thing just more complicated. That's why I haven't done my 2000 camry yet.

  • nice video and thanks for sharing your knowledge on the basics , im actually looking into installing a scytek 4000rs 2w1 myself on my 2000 jetta but looking around to find more info until i am confident enough to install it myself

  • Very Good Video, You have done very well at learning what you have, a lot of people are very scared to do something like that on there first try. But have done a wondefull job of explaining what you have learned.

    Great job!

  • You should be very scared to install a remote start. Not something you want to do unless you know what your doing. You can seriously damage your car. Ive seen screw ups that had ran $1000, it could be more. Your messing with the vital organs of your car. If you mess up one wire, you can fuck something up bad.

  • yeah that's why it took me like 16hrs over 2 days to do it. I would not hook up any wire that I was not 100% about. I spent a lot of time on web fourms untill I had all the info needed to do this.

  • It took me about 8hrs split up between 2 days because I never done it before and I wanted to be sure I didn't hook anything up wrong. I didn't have to buy anything extra. Everything was in the box If I had to do it again I could probably knock in out in 3 to 4 hrs.

  • cool video!, im installing one on my wifes car, i found my wiring chart online. Did you have to buy any relays or anything else that wasnt in the box when you installed? How long did it take you?

  • bulldogsecuritydotcom

  • where did u get the tech sheet

  • bulldogsecuritydotcom

  • tech sheets....that is the info, that I was looking for....thanks for the video.

  • can you re-up this without the music?

  • I don't have the source video anymore. Deleted it. I will by doing my car next and since I kind of know what i'm doing now i will make a much better "how to" video. It will be a lot more professional and probably be a 2 or 3 part tutorial. New vid will be up proabably in the next 30 days. if you need info before that there's alot of fourms out there. That's how I got started to even think I could hook up my own.

  • Interesting. Thanks. I'll watch the new video when you put it up. I used this one and it gave me a few things I know i would've overlooked otherwise. Thanks again

  • fair play mate very nice tutorial very explanatory and easy to follow looks very scary but you did a fantastic job nice job

  • jah know rasta, dat decent, plan to install mi alarm system myself also.

  • Damn dude, Good job and grate video!! I'm glad I payed to have mine installed.. haha

  • Good job on the install man every thing looked good and im sure this video will be informative for beginners. You might wanna put some wire loom over the wires in the engine bay to protect them from damage tho, plus it will give it a cleaner look...still good job tho
