  • lol this truck driver is a troll

  • It's nice to see all those SCE assets in the background.

  • It's the truck from Hell!

  • Do you get the feeling that he doesn't check his mirrors very often?

  • driving behind that truck would be a pain in the arse, but it seems better than driving in front of that truck.

  • @JacqueShredo how about that high sulfer diesel hes burning

  • Love that laugh at the end when he thinks he outsmarted that demonic truck !!!!!

  • q muestre la cara XD

  • esto es lo maximo no lo puedo creer pero..... kien es el diablo

  • i would love to ride my bicycle on that road that those 2 are driving their polution-mobiles.

  • lol love the part where he gives the go ahead sign and he almost dies

  • 4:00. "No way I'm gonna make that appointment now!" Little does he know how right he is! LOL He'll have a hard time getting home after the next few hours! LOL

  • Just curious, does Dennis flip off the truck driver after he passes him in the dirt? I Never could quite tell.

  • I would have just turned back around and went home and just got on Amtrak instead.

  • truck drivers get bored sometimes.... ...what can ya say ....

  • He should have got on his cell phone and called 911.

  • @mpjgbx they don't have cell phone in 1970's.

  • @FullMetalNinja001

    or 911 either...

  • You really want to despise Weaver's character; he's such a p-whipped wuss. Almost wish the truck driver would do him in.

  • This truck is the original one (without flaps) that was destroyed in the crash. I heard that the surviving one still runs and is owned by someone in SD.

  • David Mann has a bitch wife. She better be really nice to him when he comes home without a car. She should not have bickered with him on the phone in front of the chidren. It is inappropriate and she shouldn't burden him (or frighten the children) when he is trying to make a living.

  • The original sound track mono on the dvd is the best.

  • also borrowed the Trans-am sports car from the other film Smokey & the Bandit

  • Timothy Dalton (James bond Licence to kill) would have fun destroying that truck, after all those tankers full of Petro-coccain lol

  • come on you miserable fathead get that fatass truck out of my.....classic

  • I mean really, you're in the middle of nowhere! There aren't going to be any cops out there. Once you pass the truck, keep doing 70 and there's no chance of the truck catching you.

  • @yankeesfan6300

    unless the truck does 75

  • You know, if I was Dennis, I could have stopped my car, rest for maybe an hour, lock myself in if necessary, and then consider getting to the nearest rest stop or motel and report this truck to law enforcement or something. Then again, who knows whether the police are competent or not.

  • @eXAKR That, or he could have just turned around and floored it back in the other direction after getting gas. Not only would Dennis have the advantage of speed but mileage as well. Screw the business trip; once you find out your life is in danger that becomes the first priority.

  • @eXAKR Yeah but that wouldn't have made for an exciting, spellbinding movie plot. ;) hehe

  • My absolute favorite Dennis Weaver line from this movie: "HEY!" lol. He must have said it about 15 or 20 times.

  • what road are they on?

  • Instead of messing with that crazy trucker like that, he should have slammed on the brakes and then turned around real quick and drovein the opposite direction as the semi. By the time the semi driver got stopped and turned around, that guy would have been long gone. Why play chicken with a big truck like that, obviously being driven by a lunatic? Some ppl get really mad when you try passing them and they will chase you. It happened to my sister before when she passed an old man! BEWARE!

  • @SLBON Very true. I always let truck drivers do what they want to do within reason--let them get ahead. I don't challenge them and I never would do what the guy did in the movie. I almost had one run me off the road when I was driving across a Washington State mountain pass. It was raining and I slowed down cause I was having trouble seeing so he was having a fit but I couldn't help it. Fortunately the road turned to two lanes and he flew past me.

  • @blanchefful That is very scary! There are so many people driving around that have severe road rage and many times innocent people are killed because of this!

  • @SLBON Yeah I know it. The guy who owns the surviving Duel truck is just a truck collector not a maniac and I guess he lives in SC. But there are lots of crazy people on the road.

  • @SLBON However in this case, word of Matheson and Spielberg state that this isn't road rage, the truck driver is a serial killer - note the "collection" of licence plates on the truck - this isn't the first time he's done this...

  • 4:50 wiiiiiiiiiiiiiii i have owned that fucking truck! :D

  • Notice how the interior rear-view mirror on the Valiant randomly changes from a '70 to a '71 about every 5 seconds lol....

  • that valiant rocks

  • dennis where was your M-1 Garand---see Folks A 30.06 would even the Score

  • @rollingstopp This is where James Bond's machine-gun equipped Aston Martin from "Goldfinger" would have come in handy.

  • that laugh at 4:50........LOL

  • I love the laugh at 4.50

Notice how the driver checks the tyres of his truck - mean

  • This is exactly why you need to carry a gun with you when you travel!

  • his "hows my driving" sticker should read "1-800 eat s***"

  • this one segment of the movie took my computer nearly 5 hours to up load on my Commodore 64

  • this movie brings back memories watching it on z channel cable box back in '79 when i was 10. There was road rage back then too. My dad would flip drivers off when our family would cruise around in our brown ugly chevy caprice, classic spielberg movie.

  • I was just driving around where this was made. It made me want to come back and see this movie again.

  • 3:11....yeah but u cant see his face...only the shade

  • EVERY ONE YOU CAN SEE THE TRUCK DRIVERS FACE IN THE MIRROR AT 3:11

  • 4:52 little girl laugh

  • He says "I'll never make that appointment now!" and I'm thinking "I got news for you buddy, you've no idea how right you are"! LOL He's lucky he even made it home much less anywhere else! LOL

  • I want that truck now.

  • This would be such a fuckin' terrifying situation to be in.

  • @666Harland Yeah I know. I'm sure that something similar to this (only maybe not to such a murderous extent) happens on a more frequent basis than one might guess. It would be very scary indeed, especially if you knew you'd have to kill the other driver or else they'd kill you (like in the film).

  • @666Harland been in a similar one before. trucker barreling down a hill at 75 when you're doing 60, not stopping....good thing I was in my mom's Hemi, though ('05 300C)...got out the way real fast.

  • this movies really boring, imma stop watching it

  • @FITZY202 It gets way more action before very long, trust me. LOL

  • thanks soo much for uploading this!

  • "Come on, you miserable fathead! Get your fatass truck outta ma waaaay!" LOL Best line in this movie.

  • Classic

  • pause at 3:12..the drivers face is visible in the mirror

  • LMAO 4:50

  • Looks exactly like the kind of Auto Mobile Satan would drive.

  • @Yoshi4d Perhaps he IS driving?!?!?!!?

  • its not a truck.... its a TRAIN DOOFUS GUY IN THE LITTLE TEENSY WEENY CAR!!

  • classic movie

  • I love them old cars

  • RIP Dennis Weaver.

  • Hmm cars of the 70's didnt have the right mirror I guess. Interesting.

  • @dzanicjasmin not base models and plymouth valiants were an economical car.

  • @dzanicjasmin no a lot of them didn't have a right mirror. You must be mighty young sonny.

  • whers where he rings up his missus, you cut out some bit you tardo

  • dont fuck with rednecks in oversized trucks!

  • I'd love to have that truck in GTA SA!

  • @LassedeV

    thegtaplace-com/downloads/f3948-duel there it is lol

  • @LassedeV you can if you have pc

  • .......OMG that part is hilllllllarious !!!!!!

    LOVE this movie!

  • I am cracking up reading people's comments here about poor Dennis Weaver's reactions. HAHAHAHA

It should be said though... RIP Dennis

  • he's as giddy as a shool girl after passin him hahah

  • can someone tell details about this peterbuilt model ?

  • Sure. It's a 281 1955 Peterbilt. And if you look for it on YouTube, using the word "Duel", you'll see an actual survivor of the movie. It's huge. LOL

  • Hey check out 3:11 you can see the truck driver in the mirror!

  • Oh you all gotta get stereo speakers for you computers to watch this movie! The roar of the truck is PHENOMENAL!!!

    I LOVE IT!!!

  • "Oh boy, you're beautiful"

    LOL

  • This movie is a study in human behavior...Weaver's. The sounds effects aren't bad either. Hee Hee.

  • I dont have a black belt but I have a black glock .With no witnesses around ,haha

  • carey loftin...best stunt driver ever

  • ...and Bill Hickman , Bud Eakins [sp?] , et-al.

  • 70's road rage...

  • just proves how stupid road ragers are!

  • If I was chased by a Smart Car, I'd be scared.

  • i would drive back homeeeeeee, fast fuck datt

  • They should re-make and chase down a nissan cube.

  • Why is the guy driving so slowly

  • Cars underpowered

  • That truck just screams "Fuck the EPA!!!"

  • Yes, wheres that truck when you really need it. LOL

  • @Mossy500A I don't think they had exactly the same rules about emissions from trucks during that time. I don't know though...

  • CAREY LOFTIN ITS THE TRUCK DRIVER.

  • dennis weaver lives in an eco house

  • i wonder who the truck driver is anyone no the actors name

  • your not suppossed to know the truck drivers name. thats why yuo dont see his face throughout the movie. it was suppossed to create the truck as the villain instead of its driver.

  • where is da fucking scene where dennis is talking to his wife, and spielberg has the camera on the other side of the dryer door???

WHO fucking left that scene out. loosers

  • it wasnt part of the original movie, it was added in later when the movie was extended from a tv movie to a big screen movie.

  • The truck driver must have a "king of the road" ego/complex, and the protagonist passing him must be his [the trucker's] idea of an unforgivable challenge.

  • Ever think the fact the guy just likes to kill for the fun of it?

  • @roaklin Yep. I have actually. :)

  • "C'mon you miserable fathead, get that fatass truck outa' my way!"

  • @ethen24 that was like my fav line!!!!

  • The best part here for me was when the truck driver waves to let him know the road's clear, then the other car comes straight towards him, scary stuff.

  • Nearly got pwned

  • lol! "Well it's about time Charlie!" That's so 70's

  • @LuigiBros64 more 30s, 40s and 50s. Dennis weaver grew up then. but people still used that lingo in the 70s.

  • @LuigiBros64 Agreed!

  • my freind arlan6 made a mod for gta sa of that old peterbuilt semi and tanker

  • yah i have that 2 and his green goblin truck mod

  • at 4:55 ROFL!!! hahahah so funny xD

  • Wait..isnt there something in between Part 2 and Part 3? :| Doesn't he go inside and talk on the phone? Or is that later?

  • You are right. The phone calle scene is missing, unfortunately.

It is NOT neclectable, but very important for the interpretation of the film!!

  • My pet hate : Just get my rig wound up and get stuck behind some tossa going slow when I have to be 1000 miles away running to a time table..

  • 3:42 lol lol lol lol

  • 3:18 !

  • you misreable hahaha

  • 2:06 hahh and 2:22 hehehehehe

  • upload the whole thing

  • 4:55 LOL!!!

  • as appreciative as i am of the upload, the very nature of this film makes it extremely ill-suited to a viewing in installments.

  • id love to own that lorry

  • at 5:00 he really gets the trucker pissed

  • Comment removed

  • nice :p

  • dude srsly that truck(er) is f*ckin CREEPY!!! btw i think 3:10 is the first time the trucker tries to kill the main character (is he called by his name? whatever, just noticed :P)

  • that truck has such a creepy sound when it isnt accelerating

  • dat was lol! great pass!

  • that was a good pass

  • Always wondered why he didn't blow his airhorn at the valiant when it pulled that off.

  • Hey, you cut out the part where he talked to his wife! Still, not complaining. It's hard to find this online nowadays...
