Interesting video. I came across an innovative system for industrial wastewater treatment called the Baleen Filter, that works like a Baleen whale (filter feeder) to filter solids from waste water streams very efficiently, there are videos here on You Tube about it. Very environmentally friendly too.

@mrdidalgo - distillation is not the best way anymore (neither is reverse osmosis) it is way too energy consuming, so it just adds an additional burden on the environment through the electricity required. It may also remove minerals and ions.

Issue 1 - Maintenance

Issue 2 - Reverse Osmosis is extremely slow

Issue 3 - Reverse Osmosis uses lots of electricity

Issue 4 - Reverse Osmosis uses chemicals to treat water

Issue 5 - Reverse Osmosis wastes lots of water

@TheGordon4 sewage treatment is the water from your toilet, from street when it rains, is about water + mud ... the water treatment is the water from your sink, the drinking water.
