  • How are you getting sound out of it without a controller? Is there a way to audition patches without an external controller?

  • @jgk381 OK, you like ELO and Tangerine Dream or whatever kind of prog stuff you enjoy, that's fine; but there are some of us who enjoy Autechre, IDM and that type stuff. There's no written law about what "real" music is. People who like classical or jazz probably wouldn't think much about the type of music you enjoy. I think you should expand your tastes and try glitch-type music or dubstep. I love exploring different types of art--even experimental jazz.

  • @damondarkwalker Thinking about buying this ..... I want to know if I hook this up to my M-audio and from M-Audio to live8 will I lose quality or will I need another set of hardware to gain the most out of this box >? I enjoy learning synthesis but hate using Vsts kind of boring . So I want hands on experiences and earth shattering trance synth or jaw dropping bass effect .

  • @damondarkwalker I could pull of nice plucks and trance style sounds with this right ?

  • nice drums and bass at 1:41

  • daft punk playing this moog?

  • so,so,so,so,so,so,so,so,so,so,so,so,so RAD!

  • its like a dubstep machine

  • This guy travels in Yzghagnagzv spaceship through Rhzvgvrhanzg galaxy in search for the Zghervghlghfdzhrhov alien race.

  • Btw this studio looks craze :p

  • Moog Rulez

  • dude, these arpeggios are stunning!! never before had i pressed "like" a second after pressing "play!!!" and 0:16 is ULTIMATE CHIPTUNE

  • Finally a 'cool' demo of the little/slim phatty. This makes me want to buy it, unlike the grandads who shred and shred... They just make me bored... Now I've seen this video I'm definitely buying one.

  • is that that lad from linkin park lol

  • Can the slim also interact well with the venom or is it better suited for midi controllers?

  • Can you run a guitar through this bitch?

  • @SoylentGreen84 Indeed you can

  • @SoylentGreen84 your way ahead of me

  • Can this be used as an EFX board for DJ'ing. I have a Denon MC6000, can it hook up with that, or does it use its own software?

  • Whould this work for a rock/blues band?

  • @numanuma20 I'm sure you could find a way to integrate it into your sound.

  • He's totally blown away, and so would I be...

  • This instrument in my opinion, should be monophonic, its WAY too phat to be polyphonic - totally intended for crazy basslines and cutting leads, not really for warm chords

  • I will soon be able to see my dream realized and it will be on you tube for all to see! A restored 1959 Hammond B-3 in a 1936 Model A case (baby B3) with original legs (removable) with 2 channel midi installed in the lower manual with the slim phatty mounted on on it and a mac mini running very nice piano software (pianoteq). I was never giving up the B, so now I have it and all my pianos and a real analog synth in one "convenient" package! Stay tuned--its almost done!

  • 1:43 this beat is sick!

  • from 2:10 onwards. i am not sure wether it is just the slim phatty or is it connected to another piece of equipment many thanks....

  • anyone know what synthesizer keyboard i should get with this

  • Trent Reznor just came.

  • could i plug it in via usb to my computer, and send midi data to it from ableton?

  • @chuckles1252 yes

  • Fuck, they need to make a little/slim phatty thats polyphonic.

  • @DollaTwo they wont, they expect you to buy multiple units of these and chain them together, thats the idea behind it...

  • That guy is from Warp????? Awesome!!!!

By the way: Waldorf Blofeld or this monster???? I am having a lot of internal debate on whether to get the polyphonic or the whatever-the-blofeld-is type synth. This will be my first synth so I am not terribly experienced, but am swaying heavily towards the Moog.

  • i dont really get it: they said something about voltage control... does this mean you can run a guitar through it and use it as a distortion/filter n stuff? or what exactly does voltage control mean?

  • @elefantkaputt they might have this thing called "voltage sag" where it basically makes the synth sound like its low on power or perhaps over drive it, im not 100% sure tho but thats what ive heard

  • @elefantkaputt You can affect the sound using control voltages from modules or anything that outputs a voltage, even a battery lol. Look it up on youtube.

  • anyone else having the awesome idea of buying this and use it with a bass or a guitar and a midi pickup? :O

  • Richard Devine es cabron

  • Would this work with the Korg kaosillator :O How insane would that be (Y)

  • Waaaaaaant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the sound at 1.24

  • i got it and I think it is great if the manual was more better at explaining... you will see and I have 16 other synths...

  • What is richard holding? is it a remote or an Iphone with an Moog app ?

  • can anybody tell me if the slim phatty is basically identical to the little phatty except it doesn't have a keyboard, or are there other differences?

  • is vst editor of little phatty compatible?

  • that iphone thingie is a little too, tududaduuduuhh inspector gadget

  • just bought mine - waiting for it to be delivered.

  • DO WANT.

  • that bit at 0:18 needs to be made into a full song

  • can you run a guitar thru it? <3

  • what song is 0:14-0:23 ?

  • So this machine isn't just the rack version of the Little Phatty, it's different right?

  • I need one in my live rack!

  • Preciseness.

  • That is the phattist thing I've ever heard. Nice

  • That is the phattist shit I've ever heard. I Like this. I want one.

  • answer me this very important question please!

so I can decide purchasing slim phatty or not...

I know that the little phatty editor didn't work with Ableton.

Now, does the same editor works for Slim? Does it still have issues with Ableton?

Or there will be a specific editor for Slim that hasn't been released yet?

  • GIVE ME NNNNOW

  • Wait? did the demonstrator said that i can destroy my subwoofer in the trunk with the Slim Phatty? If so, does this mean that i don't have to buy the Massive plugin from Native Instruments/

  • does anyone knows when this will be out?

  • Long live fucking old men playing progressive rock leads.

Long live Moog....I gotta get this beauty.

  • Screw the slim phatty... I want those racks of Moogerfoogers man!

  • thumbs up to the booty shaking video suggestions made by youtube when you search "Slim Phatty" ---------------->>>>>

  • Can i connect a talk box pedal to it?sorry for my english if it is wrong)

  • @ivandisai yes, you definitely can. talk boxes are just small amplifiers, essentially--just run the synth's output into the talk box input.

  • @ivandisai I would think yes, anything with a line out you can put through a talkbox

  • i think i´ll definitely have to buy this.

  • It's good to see someone using a Moog to make cool sounds, not just stupid fucking old man progressive rock keyboard solos.

  • @PvPene This is one of the most idiot coments I've read, who the fuck d'you think you are ?

  • @PvPene Don't be angry that you can't play like that! Just keep practicing and you can move beyond just making noises to actually being able to play stuff. Good Luck!

  • @PvPene Translation: You prefer cool sounds with no musicality whatsoever, over actual music.

Personally, I prefer actual music. Listening to cool sounds arpeggiate is fun for about a minute. Usually, those are sounds used as FX incorporated into actual music. Just listenig to sound effects over and over with no actual music is very boring, borderline annoying, imo.

  • @jgk381 Now that is just your opinion, do you seriously need to post up stuff like this. It's the new generation of music, people love Dubstep and house surely I do love the classic electronic music like Kraftwerk, Orbital, Underworld, The Crystal Method etc.

And I also appreciate newer electronic artists like Deadmau5, Alex S, Benny Benassi

But seriously do you need to purposely bother people

Not meaning to start an argument but just leave the Dub fans alone, they'll listen to it if they wanna

  • Sounds like bee farts

  • online about 700(my estimate)- on ebay for 795- preorder out november- best deal for a synth of this price!

  • Can I controll OSC1 with OSC2 wave forms?

  • @MoArtBeats It's not a wavetable synth man, it's an analog synth...the analog osc can change from square, triangle, and sine with a knob.

  • 1:41 ...daaammmn...LOVE IT

  • ...bought ^^

  • Two questions:

Will I be able to afford it?

    And...will it blend?

  • @Syntox

You may not attempt to blend moog products >:<

  • So happy to see the Little Phatty in rack form. I desperately need an affordable entrance into the world of Moog gear, and I think this might just do it. Just please continue making the CP-251 and expanding the line of Moogerfoogers and I will love Moog forever.

  • @Renzothedestroyer The Slim phatty is the Rack mount? coolio

  • how to join d slim phatty with a keyboard?

  • sweeeeeeet!!

  • t's taken a while for an LP rack.

    Good thing I waited.

    Price is really enticing too.

Best (new) analog synth out there.

  • HOLLY FUCK I NEED THIS LOL

  • grr i hate the M-audio Axiom keyboards feel like sh*t .

lol love the Moog though :P

  • as i normaly say: this is the first step to lose your job, and pheraps have no social life :D

  • HOLLY FUCK! i want it :D

  • I like the processed drumloop around 1:33...nice distortion!

  • preciseness? ;)

  • I thought I was the only one that did weird things like that with my phatty hahaha

  • That is so cool!!

  • I need three of these with blue lights instead of yellow ones...the red lights can stay. First, I need spending money...but that shouldn't be a problem as long as Moog makes these for the next two years...

  • I need three of these...first, I need $2700. But after I get the money, I will be buying three of these, since I don't see a polyphonic synth from Moog coming anytime soon.

  • Axiom is good! :)

  • how much is it?

  • I think I would rather save my pennies for the lil phatty or the voyager, but looks like a fun device, just like those bass pedals.

  • moog + mac + krk all in one video. orgasm.

  • OMG I am so getting one WIN

  • As someone put it, it's "The Volks" Moog!

  • I definately have G.A.S., though i already own a Voyager...the filter overload is ......

  • @tompaulsen2002 filter overload is really incredible

  • @tompaulsen2002 filter overload is really incredible, I've had a phatty for years

  • Again...Richard Devine...just the right guy.

  • Where's Jan Hammer??

  • Is that a Modular 55 in the background there?

  • @Eyereole No, it is a battery of Mooger Fooger pedals rackmounted.

  • @Eyereole Looks like a bunch of rack mounter MoogerFoogers etc to me! ;-)

  • cool

  • can't wait to see Jordan Rudess demo this! :)

  • @KrazyKali69

    Uh, no........

  • yes

  • Holy crap, this is something I've been waiting for!!! Is anybody else thinking what I'm thinking: pair this up with a Little Phatty, and have a 4-oscillator Monster Phatty??

  • @Thompsongs

    Is that possible?

I thought that with midi-input the little phatty would only work as the keyboard.

  • @Thompsongs Perhaps once I win the lottery.

  • @Thompsongs They have it paired up like that in the Guitar Center in Brooklyn, NY. It sounds F'n awesome

  • nice shit!

  • Very nice.

  • YES! BUYBUYBUYBUY! ;) When is it available in Germany???? hope sooon!?!?!

  • im on it!

  • Wow!

  • SWEET!!
