Okay, so I didn't watch any of it and just saw clips on the news. What I did see was interesting. Obama said "John" every time he referred to McCain but I never heard McCain say "Barack". Am I right? That ranks on the same lines as not looking at him, doesn't it? I noticed that right away. What do you think that means?

When a spending bill is passed, such as defense spending, a politician often "earmarks" a certain amount of money from the bill be allocated to some pet project of his. Like if the bill cals for 10 billion dollars for defense spending, a politicain may put in the bill something that says that 50 million from that amount will fund a bridge be built in his state.

I always feel so freaking stupid watching debates because I feel so un-informed. I do want to watch the Palin debate because she knows about as much as I know about politics so yeah, it will be funny to see her get her ass kicked by Biden. But yeah I don't usually watch the debates because it will be a cold day in hell before I vote Republican in any major election, especially at a national level.
