by the way i forgot "chay" has even one more meaning in turkche. Uyghur Turks use it like "engage" before they get married they make 2 ceremonies. i think it must be "big chay" and "small chay" its like engaging. families get together from 2 sides

karachay doesnt mean "black tea" :) "chay" has one more meaning in turkish, it means kinda like small river. river but the small one. so propably and logically "karachay" name is not given as "black tea" its given as "black river" which means propably ppl of that black river. "karachaylılar"
