This games sucks the entire game revolves around OMG I can MARKS and EXICOOTS people OMG OMG. You dont get in trouble for not being stealthy, the game is short, mark and execute gets boring almost at the very beginning of the game, and the story is just stupid with no real plot twists other than SPOILER ALERT Sam Fishers daughter isnt really dead oh wow I never get to me meet her in any ot the other games so why should I care. If Double Agent wasnt that great Conviction sucks nut.

trust me with my £2k PC and 16mb internet connection they are no problems from my side. From 6pm until 2 am I have the error msg saying "Trying to renew the connection" I play BC2, WoW, Mount and Blade and many other games with no single lag or fcking error msg, I can play, listen to music and play with my di(k with no fcking error msg, so FO if u dont know what r talking about :)

I just bought Splinter Cell conviction through steam, my friend and I tried hosting private coop matches but whenever we tried to join each other's game we got the error message "Unable to join the match. The connection is not responding.". Any advice anyone?

Splinter cell was first inspired because of Metal Gear's Success, and SC WAS ALSO inspired by Thief Lord (which i don't know anything about)

For most, people would say MGS is the best and the most successful Stealth game (also because MGS series started from 1987) But yeah, MGS did sort of stray away from it's 'Stealth' title, by adding lots of features. MGS4 AND MGS3 totally changed.

The move towards stealth-violence instead of total stealth is precisely the direction the Splinter Cell games have needed to take for a long time. Chaos Theory made a step in the right direction with the shotgun and sniper rifle and various explosives allowing calculated, brutal takedowns of multiple enemies, but psychic AI getting alerted magically fucked things up a bit. Conviction looks promising.

The massive text on walls is retarded, though, and not having to aim will piss off PC gamers.

mark and execute system is a reward which u get for doing stealth kills....it means if u do 2 or three PROPER stealth kills only then u can use tha mark and execute and that too only once....kill again to get it back BUT THE KILLS MUST BE STEALTH....otherwise its old school aiming....and there is also a limit on the number of ppl u can mark

Ugh, really? That's even sillier, because then a) it rewards killing people for no reason just to enable mark and execute, and b) it just doesn't make sense for your abilities to require killing to activate. Killing should be a tool, not a necessity to activate your powers.
