Am i the only one here who thinks that these Books up to this point have not really focused on the main player in this saga,The Emperor Himself???Dont get me wrong i appreciate the fact writers are going to lengths to go in-dept on all the Chapters involvement, but surely there can be more focus on the Emperor Himself.and maybe something on other races like the Necron and Eldar,i know these guys did not just sit out the Heresy, the Void Dragon was on Mars & the Emperor was also using c'tan science
The Space Wolves and the Thousand Sons have always been my two favourite Legions - even if they hate each other. The Space Wolves I admire because they do their duty and don't complain - they are loyal to the end. But the Thousand Sons have real character and their personalities are so captivating, and their story can't help but lure you in. Each Legion, or Chapter, after the Heresy, has its own qualities, but they both have negative parts. In my opinion, neither is better than the other.
@bdrainmaker Ahh but they HAVE done so much better! Check out their video for The Purging of Kadillus. That is what all of their intros should be like.
Why the Space Wolves always must be glorified like this... ok, they are responsible for a lot of great victories in the 41st milenium, but the Thousand Sons should have been the real heroes in this novel (even if they are corrupted by Tzeentch)! I'm not a fan of Chaos, but I realy don't like the Space Wolves ...
@Furorus2kGer I concur. In the 41st Millenium, going largely by the Ragnar novels, the Space Wolves have at least some sense of morality and purpose beyond slaughtering everything, but in the Horus Heresy they are no better than mindless savages, in no way fit to help the construction of the Imperium. The Thousand Sons were infinitely more loyal, more useful and had FAR more purpose.
I take it you haven't read Prospero Burns? It explains why they are 'mindless savages'
Basically they are created to be the emperor's exexutioners. When there is a threat to the Imperium and it must be utterly destroyed, the Space Wolves are sent in. They know this and know they must be savage but at the same time they know that they must control it well.
I would recommend reading Prospero Burns if you want to see why they are so savage...
@JulianusFlavius1 Theyre savage because the Emperor knows he thinks he needs executioners in case some of his legions turn against him. Hes so paranoid.........
@Furorus2kGer Indeed, it's the most horrible tragedy, that ever happened (in my opinion). The Thousand Sons were literaly forced to join Chaos, but even then they were incrdible. And I'm sorry, I didn't read the Space Wolves novels (but I think I may need to do it^^)
@Furorus2kGer They weren't actually. The could have just died quitely which, incidentally, would have been much better for the Imperium. Their story is tragic but lets not say that the didn't have other options....
I'm sorry but I just SHIT MY PANTS, then I watched the video and I was reminded of the feeling after reading the book Great Expectations lets just say it was not all I hoped for. Though I might like this book.

Why is it 40k, when actually, it's just 31k? :P
Joke aside, I hope I'll get to see Ahriman in action again.
