one of my favorite songs on the very last fatback album i bought in 1985. fatback is the most underrated and versatile group of the 70s and 80s era. they could make just about any type of song funk, r&b, jazz, reggae, hip hop, rock and even smooth mellow tunes like so delicious. fatback is the only group where everyone gets the chance to sing lead vocals.
gts44 what u know about that? Thank you for havin' it.I will be putting back out there(in the streets) via my car radio. Listen up St.Louis! Will definitely get it played on national radio. The vocals,SO COLD! Funk Band,ON FIRE! Lyrics,NESCESSARY!
Top excellent Soul Band, & if ever any of ya read this. I will never forget one night in Hammersmith in London UK, you made me and my young son feel very special & still have all the momentos you gave us the night you made me feel 'i'd found loving' .. you're all very special & incredibly talented beautiful people!!
Wow! I've got the album! Ben E King on male vocals.. Is this all he did with Fatback? (besides Evil) A shame Ferry Maat, you didn't play this on the radio! :-(
Yo i got this Fatback album as well, that be Linda Blakeley sharing the vocals with Ben on the title track givin John de Berry a bit of a breather no doubt.Anyone gonna download 'LOVER UNDERCOVER' & SHE'S A GO GETTER' as they're the best 2 cuts on a classic FUNKY LP...............

Ferry Maat just announced the end of the Soulshow. He left many good things, and he didn't play what he didn't like.
I remember back in the days of the real Soul Show, he admitted he didn't like Italo disco.
So he didn't play it unless in the case of real smash hits maybe.
