Praise Jesus is LORD. I used to be an atheist doing medical research until I cried out to God and He spoke to me and filled me with the Holy Spirit. Praise the Holy Lord. Please pray I find a new job after my prejudice atheist coworkers fired me for being a christian and after Holy Spirit told me I should have an attitude of Faith at work and no longer need to validate hypothesis or make calibrations. Because of Jesus I was twice as productive as my coworkers,but still I get terminated!!! :(

They played this song at my mothers funeral 2 years ago. I was 9 years old. I hardly knew my mom. She was on drugs for a long time. And my family called D.S.S on her. The main thing that hurts the most is never getting to know her better. She was not perfect in anyway shape perform but she was as good of a mom as it can get. Her death has made me believe more. Growing up is hard for anyone. And I feel for the people that have lost a parent.

No one wastes their time going around to worship sites to make ugly comments unless they're trying to buttress themselves against own insecurities. @DrPepperJacob I couldn't agree with you more regarding what I believe is true. Jesus is the one and only way to inherit eternal life. However, I do think we ought to be careful in the way we share that good news. We will never be successful disciples when we try to reprimand or scare people into the church. bringing them to the light" Because more than loving Jesus or their fellow man (which I believe are the two greatest commandments according to Jesus, but what do I know), Christians *love* to hurt other people (including those in the church). I've found non-believers to generally be less hypocritical than most Christians, no matter which church I tried.
@jonarbuckleandfrendz I don't think the types you're referring to are "Christians" as such, but are more like the Pharisees of Christ's day. I can say that because I have unintentionally judged, and sometimes condemned people with my words. I have since repented, but I'm not going to lie; there are times when I get scared that a certain person is going to end up in hell, and I try to pound the fear of God into them (figuratively speaking). With God's help, I will stop doing that completely.

@xAgonisx Any logical person could see the discrepancies in the gospels are there to help fit the prophecies. For instance the census. It make no sense for the romans to conduct a census in which everyone had to return to their homeland. Nor is there any reference outside the bible of this type of census ever happening.
@Ch1naManChan You are wrong about there being any reference outside the Bible of a census conducted by the Roman government during Biblical times. Check out the book: Archaeology and the New Testament by Dr. John McRay.
@seeker5987 There is no evidence of a census in which people were forced to return to their birthplace. There was never one during the time of jesus or any other time in roman history. Yes there was a census but not one as described in luke. The story of this census allows jesus' birth to fulfil the prophesy of being born in Bethlehem. This is just one example of the NT being fixed to fit the prophesies of the OT.

Only to find out a year later it had came back, she only lived another few months before she passed away. Leaving a young family behind. I can go to any library, any history museum, do a simply google search, and find things written by him, and about him all during his life. The first person to write about jesus wrote about him at least 50 years after he had been "crucified". With all the miracles he preformed it's kind of strange no one wrote about him during his life on earth, don't you think? I need evidence to believe.
@Ch1naManChan The Bible was not written in one sitting. The first five books were written around 1400 B.C and there were lots of evidences that a son of God will be born. Until the last book Revelation was written in around 80 A.D. Therefore, Bible was written across a period of over 1000 year with 40 different authors. Yet, few lived in the same period of time, but described the same story. Before and after. Earthquakes, volcanos, wars, hurricanes, tornados will come. So will Jesus.
@cindyshu1994 I wonder if you've ever read the gospels? If you have, have you seen the many things differer from one gospel to another. They don't even agree on where jesus was born! There are so many contradictions and differences in JUST the gospels. I would expect something inspired by a divine being to at least get the birthplace of his son/himself right. Not very many stories are similar, and many of the stories are historically incorrect.
@Ch1naManChan Oh really? I did read the gospel for a couple of times. Do you have any examples of the contraditions? Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem in Judea. There should be no contradictions about that. Please list the contradictions that you think are not historically correct.
@cindyshu1994 Alright maybe I spoke to soon about the actual birth, what I should have said is the gospels can't agree where marry and josph lived. Luke has Mary and Joseph travelling from their home in Nazareth in Galilee to Bethlehem in Judea for the birth of Jesus (Luke 2:4). Matthew, in contradiction to Luke, says that it was only after the birth of Jesus that Mary and Joseph resided in Nazareth, and then only because they were afraid to return to Judea (Matthew 2:21-23).
@cindyshu1994 The bible can't agree on the approximate date jesus was born. According to Matthew, Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the Great (Matthew 2:1). According to Luke, Jesus was born during the first census in Israel, while Quirinius was governor of Syria (Luke 2:2). This is impossible because Herod died in March of 4 BC and the census took place in 6 and 7 AD, about 10 years after Herod's death.
@cindyshu1994 There was never any historical evidence of a census where people had to return to the land of their birth. There is no evidence of nor does it make any logical sense, the romans simply cared where people lived and what they did, they didn't care where they were born. The only reason this type of census was ever mentioned was it made it easier for the gospel to follow the predictions of jesus' birth.
@cindyshu1994 Just because the bible predicts natural disasters that happen all the time it doesn't mean that it's true. The koran also claims natural disasters are coming why isn't the koran true. Based on the fact that many historians, and archaeologist agree that's what happened. Obviously some things in the bible will be historically accurate but the vast majority of it is not. I don't have faith, I don't like believing in something just, because I was told that's the truth. I have knowledge that what I know is backed up with evidence and is the best explanation

If God is imaginary, please explain to me, with a full scientific citation, why some one can be completely healed from a disease (Parkinson's) that approximately 5 doctors deemed uncurable. This happened to one of my relatives to whom i happen to be extremely close. Go ahead. I would love to hear your arguement.
@saraceletileclan Seeing as I don't have a patient history I can't really comment on this specific case. Though I can tell there is only one known experimental cure for this disease. I can also tell you this relative really was healed from the disease there would be some news report or scientific article written about it. I couldn't find one. I work in the medical field, I see some pretty usual things happen, but there is always an explanation. The answer is never god.

I lost my dad a year ago today, and this was the first song that I really was able to worship to after my father passed and it still brings me to tears when ever I hear it. The Lord dose hear our cries and he is always there for us. It is because of him that death has no power over us and it is for those who still remain here to RISES and worship.

Praise Jesus is LORD. I used to be an atheist doing medical research until I cried out to God and He spoke to me and filled me with the Holy Spirit. Praise the Holy Lord. Please pray I find a new job after my prejudice atheist coworkers fired me for being a christian and after Holy Spirit told me I should have an attitude of Faith at work and no longer need to validate hypothesis or make calibrations. Because of Jesus I was twice as productive as my coworkers,but still I get terminated!!! :(

They played this song at my mothers funeral 2 years ago. I was 9 years old. I hardly knew my mom. She was on drugs for a long time. And my family called D.S.S on her. The main thing that hurts the most is never getting to know her better. She was not perfect in anyway shape perform but she was as good of a mom as it can get. Her death has made me believe more. Growing up is hard for anyone. And I feel for the people that have lost a parent.

However, I do think we ought to be careful in the way we share that good news. We will never be successful disciples when we try to reprimand or scare people into the church. I can say that because I have unintentionally judged, and sometimes condemned people with my words. I have since repented, but I'm not going to lie; there are times when I get scared that a certain person is going to end up in hell, and I try to pound the fear of God into them (figuratively speaking). With God's help, I will stop doing that completely.

It make no sense for the romans to conduct a census in which everyone had to return to their homeland. Nor is there any reference outside the bible of this type of census ever happening.

@seeker5987 There is no evidence of a census in which people were forced to return to their birthplace. There was never one during the time of jesus or any other time in roman history. Yes there was a census but not one as described in luke. The story of this census allows jesus' birth to fulfil the prophesy of being born in Bethlehem. This is just one example of the NT being fixed to fit the prophesies of the OT.

Only to find out a year later it had came back, she only lived another few months before she passed away. Leaving a young family behind. I can go to any library, any history museum, do a simply google search, and find things written by him, and about him all during his life. The first person to write about jesus wrote about him at least 50 years after he had been "crucified". With all the miracles he preformed it's kind of strange no one wrote about him during his life on earth, don't you think? I need evidence to believe.

@Ch1naManChan The Bible was not written in one sitting. The first five books were written around 1400 B.C and there were lots of evidences that a son of God will be born. Until the last book Revelation was written in around 80 A.D. Therefore, Bible was written across a period of over 1000 year with 40 different authors. Yet, few lived in the same period of time, but described the same story. Before and after. Earthquakes, volcanos, wars, hurricanes, tornados will come. So will Jesus.

@cindyshu1994 I wonder if you've ever read the gospels? If you have, have you seen the many things differer from one gospel to another. They don't even agree on where jesus was born! There are so many contradictions and differences in JUST the gospels. I would expect something inspired by a divine being to at least get the birthplace of his son/himself right. Not very many stories are similar, and many of the stories are historically incorrect.

@Ch1naManChan Oh really? I did read the gospel for a couple of times. Do you have any examples of the contraditions? Jesus was born in a manger in Bethlehem in Judea. There should be no contradictions about that. Please list the contradictions that you think are not historically correct.

@cindyshu1994 Alright maybe I spoke to soon about the actual birth, what I should have said is the gospels can't agree where marry and josph lived. Luke has Mary and Joseph travelling from their home in Nazareth in Galilee to Bethlehem in Judea for the birth of Jesus (Luke 2:4). Matthew, in contradiction to Luke, says that it was only after the birth of Jesus that Mary and Joseph resided in Nazareth, and then only because they were afraid to return to Judea (Matthew 2:21-23).

@cindyshu1994 The bible can't agree on the approximate date jesus was born. According to Matthew, Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the Great (Matthew 2:1). According to Luke, Jesus was born during the first census in Israel, while Quirinius was governor of Syria (Luke 2:2). This is impossible because Herod died in March of 4 BC and the census took place in 6 and 7 AD, about 10 years after Herod's death.

@cindyshu1994 There was never any historical evidence of a census where people had to return to the land of their birth. There is no evidence of nor does it make any logical sense, the romans simply cared where people lived and what they did, they didn't care where they were born. The only reason this type of census was ever mentioned was it made it easier for the gospel to follow the predictions of jesus' birth.

Though you are correct in saying all those things are coming, your just not correct in saying jesus is also.

@MRSJBLOVER111 I don't believe in history books, I know the history books are at least somewhat accurate and right. Based on the fact that many historians, and archaeologist agree that's what happened. Obviously some things in the bible will be historically accurate but the vast majority of it is not. I don't have faith, I don't like believing in something just, because I was told that's the truth. I have knowledge that what I know is backed up with evidence and is the best explanation

@saraceletileclan Seeing as I don't have a patient history I can't really comment on this specific case. Though I can tell there is only one known experimental cure for this disease. I can also tell you this relative really was healed from the disease there would be some news report or scientific article written about it. I couldn't find one. I work in the medical field, I see some pretty usual things happen, but there is always an explanation. The answer is never god.
