  • Hi Pablo, nice review! I'm planning on buying one, but I have a question: What is the difference between the DD Travel Hammock and the DD Frontline Hammock? Thanks and a Merry Christmas!

    mandgsurvival

  • @mandgsurvival Sorry I haven't replied until now. The Travel hammock has a waterproof base so you can use it on the ground. Beware though. Some users have found that it causes condensation.

  • @prmaklpboo Thanks for the reply. It helps a lot! I've heard about the problem with condensation, but I'll give it a try, I think it's really worth it.

  • I just purchased this hammock and the DD Tarp. I received today. Anthony.

  • Cool Hammock, but too heavy for backpacking. Warbonnet Blackbird FTW..

  • Cool!

  • You asked your instructor friends if they would buy this as a first hammock. I would be interested to know which hammock they/you think of for heavy/pro use?

  • is that guy in the camo wearing sposn??

  • No It's brit DPM

  • i like

  • I was just wondering what sleeping bag you use in winter?

  • I use an Alpkit SkyHigh 800 down bag

  • what are the different be-twine the dd travel hammock and the dd frontline hammock?

  • @avonturiersanne the travel hammock has waterproof base layers whereas the frontline base layers are comfortable and breathable. The only real advantage of the travel is that it can be used as a bivy.

  • Great Vid as always :) 5/5 Thanks for sharing.

  • nice music pablo: alex de grassi right?

  • Yes it is.

  • i have had this hammock for five days and i love it and nice reveiw

  • Hi Pablo. Do Jon and Steve have youtube accounts with Bushcraft type videos?

Cos if they do, I cant find them.

  • Jon has a channel called survivalmatters.

  • Thx Pablo

  • I like the travel hammock as you can use it on the ground aswell because the bottom is water proof. But with this one I like the option of getting out of either side. Does this one peg out on the floor too? I want one but still umming n arring which to get. Decisions decisions.

  • This one doesn't have a waterproof base.

It really depends how often you're going to use it on the ground. You can always lay out a poncho and put it on top.

  • Great review. 5/5

I really like the double sided entry.

I must say that you are the one who convinced me to retire my tent and switch to a hammock system. This change has vastly improved my experiences in the bush.

    Many Thanks.

  • There's pros and cons, but generally a hammock everytime for me.

  • Pablo great review! hammocks are awesome. I like to use a Hennessy here in America. Glad to see u back. I've ben missing ur vids. Thanks John

  • Hi there and thanks for your comment. Hennesey's are double the price of this DD hammock. But it depends what you want of course.
