  • Lol I dont think she is too happy about you sticking that camera in her face lol

  • someones got a broody chicken!

  • Sounds like something out of Jurassic Park.

  • LOL!! My Barred rock Hen does that if I pet her at night when shes roosting. Its SO LOUD!

  • aww, somebody's broody! :P

  • shes broody.i might be getting plymouth rock bantam and if possible i get it in a red barred colour

  • That's hysterical! My BR girls don't shriek, but occasionally will growl when about to lay. I expect one of them will go broody even though we don't have a a roo, and I fully expect that shriek- a friend's did exactly that! No roo necessary to go broody...alas!

  • LMAO

I have that same type of chicken, but she is young yet. I wonder if she will screech like that xD

  • lawl

  • Beautiful bird you have there. Everytime I hear a chicken screech like that, makes me wonder if that's how dinosaurs used to sound like. It is said that the closest living relative to the Tyrannosaurus Rex is the chicken. Come to think of it, birds do exhibit some reptilian ways of acting as we see here since is is known that birds and reptiles of today did have a common ancestor.

  • lmao Same here

  • the cutie is sitting on eggs right? 4 star rating for you.

  • No rooster - therefore no chicks. barred rocks are very vocal hens. she is about to lay an egg.

  • i have barred rock hens that i just built a coop for they are loud!

  • That chicken is going to have babies. That is why it was screatching.

  • I am going to have nightmares.

  • What a cute little bird!!

  • nice. I like the chicken.
