this song is really upbeat. i think putting a little life into it would have benefited your cover (as in the screamy parts you just falsetto). obviously this isn't bad, but it is crippled by the fact that you took no risks in your performance. the thing i love about Avey is how he just totally lets go in his songs and expresses himself, whereas this video i got nothing from you but a pretty voice.

The only thing Animal Collective are known for is experimentation and that all their albums are completely different from one another. Go back to AC's earlier work and you will find more acoustic driven crazy folk stuff.

Try listening to their old albums. Lots and lots of acoustic work. To me, this is what animal collective is about. Back to basics, music in pure form.
