so this is what my grandparents would have seen living in Leżajsk at the time. very interesting.
On a side note about how the description goes on about the germans killing a lot of people, some polish people joined the side of the germans. I remember a story that my babcia told me how after the germans left a bunch of polish people rounded up all the Ukrainian people which her brother was married to with children. They basically burned them all alive.
We cannot blame the young Poles of today for events that occurred decades ago. All Europeans of today must put aside their differences, and see to it that Europe remains European!
Sorry, but what blame? Did we kill Jude? NO, there were guys named "szmalcownicy" who were selling Jude to Germans, but as they sold Jude, they sold Poles too. Polish Underground army tried to eliminate them, and many of them was killed in short period of time.

I see the old soviet propaganda machine is alive and well in Poland. When they aren't getting their downloads from their russian political masters they are getting their downloads from their catholic religious masters.
It is interesting to me that Polish people always blame the Germans for killing the Jews of Poland and never accept responsibility for their own disgusting hatred of the Jews and their complicity in the Holocaust... Plenty of proof to the contrary if you just read what some of these people write nowadays.
Larry, it seems to me as though you are one of those Jews; are you aware how many Poles died to save Jewish lives? The fact that you can find one or two attrocities does not justify we are all to blame, or does it? What do you mean "never"? The Polish President appologized to the Jews for what we did. Well, you are simply ignorant to the facts that you find inconvenient. Who are you to pass judgements?
when no one wanted the jews in europe- poland was THE only country tolerant to religion and SAVED YOUR JEWISH TUCHUSUS! when everyone had you at the edge of their sword! In the 1500's Polish King Sigismund II Augustus allowed jews to take refuge in poland after being exiled from everywhere else!!! and for this you owe your lives to the poles! and here you are at your typical jewish self - pissing in a well from which you drank. im disgusted with you!
About 3 million Jews died in Poland. An equal or greater number of Polish civilians were murdered in cold blood. The nazi's had plans to START with the Jews and move on to other races they considered unfit to live, including Poles and Russians. Hundreds of thousands of Greeks (including my relatives) were shot and starved in a man made famine created by the looting of that country. Jews were not the only ones to suffer and die in that war. They were merely first on the list.
Seeing is believing, pan b0gdaan, seeing is believing....and believe you me, man I feel real sorry for your country.Just the thought about Katyn massacre makes me sick.Anyway, previous remark was made to a harsh and stupid anti-Semitic statement which is taken off from YuoTube. But writing about "one or two attrocities" sounds simply stupid. Kindly try to be impartial and calm when writing about the Jews.
I am now being impartial: the Germans slaugheted millions of Jews, didn't they?
How does that compare with the handful of them killed by the Polish? The Poles are not anti-semitic at the moment, maybe a bunch of stupid right-wing politicians. There is no antisemitic sentiment in Poland, believe me. What, however, pisses me off is that you cannot say anything bad about a Jew without being accused of being antisemitic (ridiculous!).
I am not sure if "a simple arithmetic" works when one starts comparing whose people killed more Jews, and whose people killed less. My knowledge about today´s Poland is limited.I forced to take your word.If a Jewish person did something wrong, one can and should talk about it.But one has to be 100% sure that he or she has it right.Too many anti-Semites accused the Jews in wrongdoings too often, with no reason at all. Then critics might be rightfully accused of being anti-Semitic.
yeah, yeah ... you always want to make things seem relative .. don't you, that is quite convenient; what you actually want to say is that it does not REALLY matter wheather you kill millions or just one person 'cause you commit a crime anyway; you sound like Udo Voight.
From what I know, Polish antisemitism was economic rather than racial in tone....many Jews were prosperous, many poorer Poles resented that. Antisemitism was much more virulent in other parts of Europe than in Poland.
Granica tam, to jakieś nieporozumienie. Polecam spojrzeć na Traktat o granicach i przyjaźni z 28.09.1939 r (a konkretnie załącznik do traktatu oraz tajny protokół dodatkowy). Granica biegła po Sanie tylko do ujścia Lubieni.
Really dislike the music. You should change it.
