  • FORD= Fix Or Repair Daily

  • to bad its got a jap engine under the hood........

  • Why are the two top-rated comments both the dumbest things anyone could say? Right--internet.

  • FORD Forgotten On the Road Dead

  • That EcoBoost motor is a great motor. Great looking car.

  • wow a 3,5 liter "eco-boost" engine? american sarcasm i think

  • @PLayboy11694

This has the power and torque of V-8 (365 hp, 350 lb.-ft torque) with a fuel efficiency of a V6.

  • @76carmel Yes but here in Germany you have efficient 1,1 liter engines or something like that :D an a V6 is here like an V8 or V10 in the USA :D

  • I think part of the problem is expecting this to be a sports sedan. Don't compare it to things like the TL or the BMW 3 series, compare it to the Mercedes E class and BMW 5 series. You get as much power as V8 versions of the German cars for a shit ton less (so if you want an executive saloon but don't have as much money as the Germans cost, go with the Ford).

  • @cornellsucksbgones

The size of this vehicle and engine performance to me only has comparisons - Hyundai Genesis with the V8 engines and Chrysler 300C.

  • im naming my first kid Super High Output

  • @rubberwoody I'm a going to name my kid "Max Power [insert last name]" for my erstwhile SVT Contour.

  • ford really should have beefed up the exterior for the SHO make it more agressive with a hood scoop or something rather then the exact same exterior. for the same price, im going to go buy an evo

  • ford really should have beefed up the exterior for the SHO make it more agressive with a hood scoop or something rather then the exact same exterior

  • what this guy isnt considering is that its got all the options youd find on a RL model acura, and then some you cant even get on that car... other cars either dont offer the room or luxury if they do perform better, and the ones that dont perform better are all around shit. another thing is INSURANCE, these things are CHEAP on insurance...get a quote on a foreign car and see what cost more...also.. when it finally is out of warranty and needs work..whats gonna be more expensive? a foreign car

  • Warning: the gas mileage is the same, but Ford recommends premium fuel for the SHO.

  • @JJFZ3000 Anyone should know that when you introduce forced induction to an engine, higher octane is required due to higher compression.

  • ford is king

  • American's have still not cought up with Europe in terms of Suspension, ride quality, and engines.

Euro engines make much more HP per litre or cylinder.

  • @slobhinav by that standard, Japanese cars are light years ahead of Europe.

  • @Brandonduboff

    By what standard?

Safety? No, the 6 out of 10 cars in the new revised NHST safety picks were European cars.

In terms of pwr to weight, European cars still win out.

In terms of suspension, Japanese cars ride like big boats..Lexus ls460 for example.

In terms of HP per litre? European cars lead the pack too.

  • @slobhinav maybe you forgot what you typed. but in any case, here are your own words. "Euro engines make much more HP per liter or cylinder." gj loser, I love how you mentioned safety, and how you put that first. Suspension? There are no suspension in Euro cars any more, In fact most cars have forgone ride quality for performance. Its like you were thinking of only one Japanese car, but were thinking of every European car made. You really think you can win an argument with opinion?

  • @Brandonduboff

I mean on average, European cars are better than Japanese cars.

Falling reliability of BMW's? They have been slowly gaining over the years.

So has Merc, and Audi has really cleaned itself up, though it is still low.

And you forget to mention Porsche, which has, for like 2 years, been changing from 1rst to second in top quality and reliability.

Bottom line, Jap cars are boring, lifeless, and have no innovation.

  • @slobhinav where did you get this information from?

  • @Brandonduboff

From consumer Reports and JD Powers.........

  • @slobhinav If you bothered to look at them both countries represent a large amount of cars with 5 stars in almost every category. Thanks, but your source says otherwise.

  • @slobhinav Saftey? Where does it say EUROPEAN CARS in the NHST got 6 out of 10? without a naming of the car. Power to weight, which car. Suspension, which car, HP per liter, which car. Did you know that there are more then 1 kind of car per continent, and even more then 1 car in Japan? Are you thinking of the failing quality of BMW? non-existent reliability of the Merc? I'm done talking to you, sorry you got so upset and started lying and picking which car you want to represent Europe.

  • chevy is my favorite company but i show some love to the other american makers hell we all going agianst european cars.

  • Drove one, the LAZIEST AUTO ever

  • the sheriffs office where i live is starting to use these taurus'. not my choice for a police car.

  • This guy reviews the car without even saying one good thing about it! Big trunk? Is that all he's got?? What a moron! How about horsepower ratings, heated/cooled front seats, modern style, great Navigation unit, way better than your grandma's ugly Accord or cheesy Camry... He needs to be looking for a job as a grocery store "car loader"... Big trunk my A$%^... What a sorehead... LOL

  • @stillwaterusa

    FUCK YOU

  • A (big) problem with this car is it's FAT. It shouldn't be 500 lbs heavier then the competition.

  • ford is the best u cant get along with american cars bc the american car doesnt want u

  • Is it true they put the mustang super charged option of this car?

  • katiushaVN4 then why you searching vids of american cars if you hate so much? dont be jealous.... by the way... ill take an american car over a vietnam car anyday #LOL

oh wait, can you people even make a car?

  • i just can't get along with American cars

  • @KatiushaVN4

that is why we will jdam your fucking country

  • @KatiushaVN4 Ford make great cars in Europe , like my Mondeo

  • @KatiushaVN4 Well there may be a reason for that. You live in Vietnam, and the Taurus is offered in North America.

Ford has different sedans for different regions of the world (Mondeo for Europe, Falcon for Australia)

  • ford is shit !!!!

  • looks like another grandpa car...FTW!

  • I would take this car over an acura tl ashawd

  • Quality review. Well done.

  • This guys a dick. Probably only likes jap cars.

  • I think these guys have seen so many cars that they have become cynical and focus on the negative as all cynics do. All he basically did was subtly complain. Also there seems to be an undertone that an American car should not have an asking price of $40,000. Why not? Did American cars suck for a while - yes. But that is past. Hell, Japanese/Korean cars were tin cans with wheels a one time - a joke. Now they are fine cars, so are American cars.

  • ford is the best fuck of rest

  • @hamdiyavuz1 i totaly agree

  • @hamdiyavuz1 Fuck of rest? Fuck off rest, maybe?

  • @hamdiyavuz1 you do this silly comment on every video.

  • one of these smoked me and my friend when we were in his 02 mustang gt, they go pretty good

  • All he talked bout waz the negatives what kind of review is this all now is that it has a big trunk.

  • @StangBang35....He wants to mention all the negatives hell he didnt even mention the postitives and the test ford did against audi and lexus...they should fire this dudes dorky ass...

  • Would of been cool if they made a coupe ^.^

  • Is still a Ford.

  • leg room...the guys gotta be 7'0 in order to have the seat all the way back...which it was in order to get that little amount of leg room, i drove one today and I fell in love...It massages your ass for gods sake. the power in pretty instant for the class. I have been a mustang man my entire life, and this car made me wonder whether I want the new 5.0 power, or the comforts of the incredibly quick 6.5 v6. THIS GUY IS OUT TO LUNCH

  • OH adn 20 inch wheels is stock...I sellt the bloody things, this guy just reviews them...and terribly.

  • Ok who let the intern loose?!?!?

  • I'm curious if this idiot would make the same complaints about the SHO's competitors. Rear legroom? Have you ever been in an Audi A6 or an Infiniti? C'mon...

  • This guy reviews the car without even saying if he liked the car or not! Can you imagine a movie critic writing a review without saying if he liked the movie or not? Odds are that this guy drives either an Accord or a 3 Series, and it would kill him to admit that he loved this Taurus SHO, so he just won't go there. No, don't dare mention that a 4,300 lbs car that you reviewed went 0-60 mph in the mid 5's.....instead whine about rear leg room which is an issue only in your biased mind pal.

  • This is probably the only Ford car that i like.

  • shame its replacing the falcon..

  • this car is so awesome

  • why u FCKING not showing DASHBOARD U BELLEND RETARD!!!

  • What is he talking about? It moves as well as the Saab Viggen I traded in! It doesn't feel heavy at all, and besides, it's a full size sedan with AWD! And his comments about the AWD not getting it around corners, what? Fuck this guy, I own one, 28k miles I've put on her so far. It handles great for it's size and weight, and turns great, on center feel, you can push it through corners unlike most AWD cars, and no more than normal understeer. This guy is a douche, or didn't push the car, at all.

  • So basically Joe is saying this car is shit..lol. =)

  • Good Sleeper

  • Back seat can be lot more room than that.

Most of driver likes to be close to steering wheel, then you will lots of room in the back seat.

MPGOMATIC said it have lot s of room in the back.

  • i think Ford made a good choice with the Taurus. The Legroom on it is NOWHERE as bad as the video made it seem, go test drive it and you'll see. Ford chose to give the new Taurus a 20 cubic feet trunk which is massive. Compare this to the new Avalon which has a little less than 3 inches more legroom, but only has a 14 cubic feet trunk. That means that the Taurus has a trunk which is 142% of the Avalon's while still retaining 93% of it's rear legroom.

  • this car is way too heavy and ugly. i am disappointed in ford. -former sho owner.

  • @SuperBeatnuts But you have to realize, it's no longer a mid-size car.

  • @SuperBeatnuts

This is not ugly. You have to drive one and you'll chang your mind.

This is a GREAT car. I used to own 2004 Taurus and now have new 2010 Taurus S.H.O.. New taurus have more stiffer and better suspension for fast sharp turn, but rides AWESOME like town car, etc.... Very powerful engine. Like 3 x faster than my old 2004, it has 155 hp. New one - 365 hp. I get around 28 - 30 highway mpg. I don't do in heavy pedal. I love my SHO! I am very proud.

  • Totally biased review, clearly this guy isn't well versed on this automobile! FoMoCo has done a steller job w/ the Taurus and evidence of good build-quality is all over the car he tested, too bad he was too busy bitchin' over minor issues that may not affect the regular car customer ..smh

  • @IMediaCorp You're right, well said. Incredibly biased, contrived rhetoric. The irony, the man said the opposite in a written article.

    This man is a joke.

I own one, but I'm not biased, I own all types of cars. (Older imports I love, nothing crazy expensive...not bragging)

Anyway I bought a 2010 SHO with the 12S package, love it. Better handling than the stock SHO. So far I've upgraded the rotors, stocks were fine but I wanted better thermals. Otherwise just a tune, my god so quick!

  • @HypnoticSuggestion thats what Taurus owners tell me!

That guy really did a lousy job w/ the review you got NO real info on the car

I believe ur talking about the Proformance Package (12S) ...I was chicken-ing out of that option because of the summer tires and the fact that I would not be able to get ACC, but now I'd look into it when I am ordering MY SHO! ...next year though

  • ITS NOT PRONOUCED SHOW, its S-h-o

  • @joeyisballer Thats the ironic thing ford for years tried to reinforce the point that its S-H-O yet they even call it a SHOW now go look at the new commercials

  • 1:20 its because the awd its only when vehicle slippery is detected

  • @Mikei97

that very good! Great for snow!

  • its because of honda and toyota that GM and FORD are FINALLY starting to produce "quality" products....people learned that hard earned money spent on junk GM and Ford products isnt a good idea the 2nd time around.....GM is better now...but Ford is the clearly making the best strides of the big 3...id still never buy a american car over a japanese...but Ford is a viable option for super open minded people

  • Change or Die and Ford and GM has been changing for many years now. Their quality is on par or GREATER than their Japanese rivals.

However, some individuals cannot accept these facts and continue judge them on in a bad light when in fact their reliability and quality is dead even with the foreign brands and sometimes even better.

By the way this coming from a guy who Toyota Camry, BMW Nissan, and is planning to buy a Ford in a coupe of months.

  • I am an avid fan of Ford vehicles. They say that this is a heavy car and it doesn't perform as well as some other competitors. The only thing is, they are trying to compare it to a foreign automobile. I just think that they should only compare one american car to another. Back when I was younger, you never heard Ford going against Toyota or whatever. It shouldn't be the American way.

  • Listen "Jamclam1", talking like that only reflects your worth in society as a fistula is within a human body. Its detrimental and hazardous to say the least. Take suggestions where they come especially when they are well informed, or leave them well alone. Comments should be logical in its argumentative purpose with credit to its maker or suggestions for its betterment. Stop wasting time on the internet and better yourself in knowledge and necessary debating skills.

  • @Carnuts87 Wow couldn't have said it better... if your going to debate cars then come with the knowledge of every cars attribute and give all a fair judgment or shut the fuck up

  • nice! i want to buy one

  • FORD is an acronym for Fix Or Repair Daily

  • @Drucifer482 not anymore dude. car companies can change and improve just like people. And this company hasn't been getting alot of auto buzz for nothing. it's been doing good. look up the reliability reports if you don't believe me.

  • @ssj4goldengogeta I not saying that your are stupid but you have to a fool to ever trust a car company.

  • @Drucifer482 well if that's the case then a majority of the population are fools. lol. think what you want man, facts are facts and alway trump opinions and the facts about ford are positive. the only crap company that hasn't shown any progress in the reliability and quality of their cars is chrysler. Every other brand that was once dubbed as crap, Kia included, have been improving. Some are still working while others are peaking.

  • @Drucifer482 You can carry the old stigma about ford if you like. I'm sure if you ran into people who carry the old stigma about kia, that you'd defend it, and trust me, those people are out there. So just let people love whatever company they want to love and realize that your words show no worth to any person watching this video and that your opinions change no one's opinion about this company. Your company bashing does not keep it from succeeding. P.S. some still think kias are crap.

  • @ssj4goldengogeta This is America you can do what you want. I know that any thing FORD produces it is going to be crap. But hey, like I told your friend when that crapmobile breakdown on you dont be shy about asking for a lift, I will try to do what I can. P.S kias are crapper than fords, I dont fuck with them either.

  • @Drucifer482 you're a stubborn human being who thinks he knows the future. lol. You're fun to talk to.

  • @Drucifer482 lol did u make that up u are so clever man u kia drivers are so funny

  • @notnew2dagame I got to be a kia owner now just because you love FORD's unreliable shit cars. Hey you can drive those crap mobiles if you want, I don't mind giving you a lift when I will see you stranded on the highway.

  • Do you know if the new Taurus will be available in Britain? It looks rather nice

  • I think i'll get the limited version

  • LOL 3.5L MWHAH FORDS GOT NO BALLS!!!

  • @Transinater LOL COOL STORY BRO

  • @swassbruh THANKS!!!!

  • "There are better cars out there"? He never does a direct comparison as to which "cars" are better and how they are better than the SHO? I personally bought the SEL version. I have had 500 HP supercharged vehicles and other than getting on the freeway on ramp or doing a stoplight to stoplight race with one of the "better" cars there aren't too many places you can use it. Let's not confuse top speed with usable power either.

  • Comment removed

  • Ford and GM are suddenly the "BEST" in all reports, sounds like AMERICAN PROPAGANDA. American cars have always had problems with turbo's. I do like this car.

  • ahh i cant wait untill the new 3.0 GM twin turbo v-6 comes out to eat this thing alive..just be glad GM never produced the 3.6 twin turbo that put out 430hp years ago

  • Comment removed

  • first bad review of this car i have ever seen

  • @superamerica1981 I totally i agree with you on the rwd being more fun, but the majority of the taurus' power goes to the rear wheels and power goes to the front when it feels the car slipping. but thats with traction control, im almost positive but im not sure so don't judge me that you could get it sideways with traction off

  • I absolutely love the SHO, but god damn $40k for a fucking Taurus?

  • lol

  • exactly...$45 K loaded...I guess even to this day, there are people willing to throw stupid money at a boat like this...

  • Yeah $45k is a lot but a fully loaded SHO offers as much interior space as a Audi A6 V8 and is faster than the V8 Audi A6... Also believe the SHO has more luxury tech features than a Infiniti M45 and Audi A6.. The Audi A6 V8 cost around $55k loaded... So seems like the SHO would be a better buy unless of course your buying a car for a symbol status which lots of people do...

  • @mixedguy But A6's are huge luxury sedans that aren't even close to the same class as the SHO, it compares directly to the mid size sedan A4 which of course stomps the SHOs ass and only costs $34k directly from audi's site with no discounts.. Gotta do a better comparo man

  • @bmomoney22 The Taurus is a full-size sedan like the A6 do some research as you say before you spout out random bullshit. The A6 and Taurus share similar weights and dimensions. The A4 is a midsize sedan which is in the same class as a Fusion although as of yet the Fusion has no real performance package. At 202 inches long the Taurus is actually almost 10 inches longer and 5 inches wider. It is also about 100-200 lbs heavier. Look it up before you make ignorant assumptions based on biasness.

  • @blueskysiii -- go buy a dodge then.. $48k for a charger loaded and i goes to the shop ever dam month...

  • @henik9 well thats $20000 less than an audi or mercedes

  • @elliott12591 But Audi makes better cars, in all of the things that this guy compalins about Audi does well in.

  • @AdrianC12345 blah blah blah blah blah did i mention $20,000 less.

  • @elliott12591 Well, you get what you pay for, I'd get an Audi.

  • @elliott12591 No it;'s not, not even close. for starters the base taurus is $25,170

and the only one with the good turbo engine is $37,700. So then If you had bothered to look something up instead of just stupidly spouting off bullshit you might have noticed some of the following: 2010 Audi A4 starts at $31,450 @ audi's website 2) mercedes S class $33,600 also MB's site 3) Infinity G37

    $33, 250 infinity's website

  • @henik9 The base Taurus starts at $27k and some change. The $40k price tag is all the options. Just stating

  • this review doesn`t do the car appropriate justice, the european honda that is badged accura in the u.s. shouldn`t even be mentioned as a comparison!

  • @TheBestThinks it doesnt matter where theyre made, theyre in the same class. and the ACURA is a better car for the money. and btw honda is asian not european.

  • @jamclam1 Honda is from Japan.

  • @AdrianC12345 -_- Japan is in Asia.

  • @jamclam1 Better car for the money?! That's funny because the RL starts $10,000 higher than the Taurus SHO and still has less power. Maybe handles better, but it weighs over 2 tons the same as the Taurus SHO so at that point it is all relative.

  • @TheMiddlekey well arent you just a fountain of knowledge? Did you have fun schooling everyone in the comments section? maybe i ought to go do some research so i can be cool like you and know all about some pos ford.

  • Yes, RWD can be a lot of fun. Also, with FWD the front tires both pull and steer the car. Whereas RWD the responsibilites are divided between the front and back and will result in longer tire life.

Also, yes RWD can be driven in snow with the proper tires but at very slow speeds. I was initiallly looking at a Camaro with this is mind but decided not to for another reason: with weight its only 4 inces off the ground. Snow tires will not help if the front of the car cant clear the snow.

  • Actually the 300 can be upgraded to AWD. And I would never take RWD over AWD unless you dont expect to encounter any snow. Snow tires help but its still not favorable.

  • yeah ok

  • ok, but the front end looks a little bit like a falcon

  • isnt this the one that was based on the ford falcon? (australian)

  • What are the other ones that perform like this for less. I'm not a big ford fan at all. I am however a total fan of SLEEPERS which this appears to be lol.

  • A.W.D. Baby!!!...You dont see Chrysler or GMC vehicles doin that!!

  • ummm the chyrsler 300 has awd and there a plenty of other cars that have awd that are better, u act like awd is the newest thing in automotive tech

  • @TheMadguy10 gmc offers AWD on everything tard

  • I got to drive one today :) this is a FAST car I didn't notice the understeer so much, it was shifting with those dumbass flappy paddle gearbox and shifting was shit.

  • Design are ok not that great. Price range, I would not get one plus it's a FORD.

  • Can someone please smack ford over the head. These are supposed to be american cars, how come the backseats are so small. The backseat space in the focus is absolutely retarded. The fuzion is the only worthy car coming from ford.

  • the Focus doesn't have terrible rear seat space in its class. I mean, its not that much worse than the Corolla or the Civic. even if it does have less room in back, that's because it has nearly 14 cubic feet of trunk space (only Kia Forte has more in class). if your the kind of person who more often has a lot of stuff to haul than more than one passenger than its more than practical.

  • In the civic, I feel comfortable. The corolla, I have to sit with my neck bent, or sit slouched so my head doesn't hit the roof. and the Focus...I feel claustrophobia come to mind when the front seats push up against my knees. If your passengers are little kids, then yeah the Focus is very practical.

  • @MamboItalian5 Well since Ford is making profit (the same of which can not be said for the "American" car company Chrysler, or GM. With 90% of their cars at or exceeding industry avg. quality I think ford is doing ok.

Besides tastes are changing. The big cars from the 80's just aren't big any more.

  • @Roushfan5 My family has been driving GM vehicles for decades. My late Gpa was a mechanic for over 40 years and he always owned a GM. In his late 70s he bought a Ford. We all thought he lost his mind, but it was a great vehicle. A lot of us followed, and there are now many Ford vehicles in our family. Kudos to Ford we like Fords.

But seriously, before anyone judges what I'm saying. If you're around my height 5'11. Sit in the backseat of an 09-10 Ford Focus, and tell me what you think.

  • But not all people are 5'11", and some people want small cars. What you don't seem to understand is that the Focus is not made to carry you around in supreme comfort, its made as cheap & efficient transport- which people want more and more these days. And if thats not what you want thats understandable, then go buy a Taurus or a Lincoln Town Car, or whatever else suits your fancy.

  • @Roushfan5 You don't need to get a big car to travel in comfort. There's many choices in the sub compact market for guys my size. Just none have the name Focus

  • Whatever, buy what makes you happy.

  • I haven't sat in a new one. I have a friend who's 6"7 and has no problem sitting in my 2003 Focus, The back seat isn't that comfortable for him but he likes the front. I think the MK1 ford focus is the roomiest small car I've sat in

  • ya the old focus was the good focus especially the hatchback. the new one NOT SO GOOD. you'd be lucky to be able to switch positions with your woman without opening the doors.

  • diddo MKI FTW. I hope the 2012 has the qualities of the MKI

  • Video and, pictures does this car no justice! I've seen this car, yesterday and..., it looks VERY good! It's huge, also! ;-)

  • Ford Taurus blows the Jap & Korean competitors out of the water. Excellent vehicle.

  • I used to own an Impala. I like the big car feel.

    It's only a v6, with 350+ horsepower, nice.

  • I like this car.... It has amazing features, it's not all about performance

  • Jap cars have more plastic than the domestics do.

I just test drove 5 of them and settled on a Flex.

    Great car.

  • Lol.. Of course, it's not going to be any rear legroom...if, you put the front chairs ALL THE WAY BACK!!! If you're biased towards American cars..., just say so! This guy! Lol.. Smh..

  • shitty american cars!

  • @twittertwat08 Why do you own a Toyota?

  • @twittertwat08

Oh god forbid you said (typed) that! Lmao... (sarcasm)

  • @DeadofWinter321 what did i say?

  • it amazed me that ford yet again fucks up on the SHO by not bringing back a manual and sticking to shitty automatic like the v8 sho.

  • i like taurus very much but it`s engine is too big, 3.5L is too expensive for my country, only the taxes are almoust a new taurus.

  • Ford should have shoe-horned the Ecoboost engine into the Fusion. The name Taurus won't sell. They dropped the ball...again, sooo close !

  • Hey! you get to pretend you know what you're talking about because you used a fancy car magazine term! (shoe-horn)

And in not only one but BOTH of your similar comments.

    You sound like an expert!

  • Ford should have shoe-horned the Ecoboost engine into the Fusion. The name Taurus just won't sell and it's a tank. Ford was sooo close but dropped the ball...again.

  • this is a nice car but it is a bit pricey. Needs to be a mid 30K's car

  • Test drove one over this last weekend. Very nice. Slick and quiet with plenty of power. Sharp interior. Very impressed with the quality. I am seriously considering this as a next purchase.

  • Plenty of understeer as well. Even at junctions and slow corners. Begs the question, what is that stiff suspension good for?

  • Stripped, the SHO is 38K. loaded with all the stuff they brag about, this 4300 lb. boat maxes out at OVER $45K.

  • This SHO have some good safety features(Ford collision Warning). I gotta love to Ford!

  • "The U.S. Supreme Court has left in place an $82.6 million award to a woman who was paralyzed after her Ford Explorer rolled over. The jury concluded that Ford knew the Explorer had design defects that made it prone to rollovers in emergency maneuvers and the collapse of its roof."

Better late than never, I guess. Do you think if the exploder had little blinky lights on the mirrors, Ford might have won this trial?...Me neither. The original award was almost $300M.
