As a supporter of gun ownership rights I agree with you on many points but if you watched the video you would have seen that they are not talking abought gun ownership they are talking abought ammunition sales. You can have a sufficient amount of ammo and still defend yourself. The stockpiling of it is good for the economy as they said but its also one of those things that may land you on an FBI watch list.

They need to make it harder for someone under 21 to get ammo. when i was a kid i could go into a sporting goods store and buy all the ammo i wanted(15 at the time).
The guns on the street are not a problem... its the ammo.

I will say that I am all for sellers asking for a person's ID to make sure there of age to buy ammo. But I have a problem with putting down a thumb print when I go out to buy ammo for my weapon.
I can understand the argument about asking for a thumb print to make sure the person that is buying the ammo is in fact the person that is on the ID. BUT there is to much of a risk that it could be, and vary will would be taken to far. Asking for a person's ID at this point in time is more then enough to ask for. And if the seller thinks the buyer is "up to something", well here in the U.S.A. the seller can always refuse to sell the ammo.

But I also have a responsibly when I carry that firearm that it is only to be use ONLY when everything to stop an attacker without using it has failed even running away from the attacker and it is only used to save another human life or my own. I have no want to needlessly end someones life, that is your misunderstanding.

The only people who should have guns are the police, the military, and groups that use them for defense.
You're a hell of a lot more likely to get shot with a gun rather than you shooting one, since the attacker actually know's his target.

The thumb print thing is scary. I think it makes it all to easy for you to be set up. Proof of I.D. and FOID card should be all they ask for.
