@n23ize Cas was already there - Cas teleported in to start with but Dean realised he was taking too long and decided to go in himself, Famine made Cas addicted to beef, Cas was too busy stuffing his face to do anything (you can see him if you pause at 2:12) and, after Famine was stopped, Cas stood up again.

Death is a manifestation of death (death always happens - explaining why he's nearly as powerful as God) War is war, Pestilence is pestilence and Famine is famine, the reason famine is weakened is because of the improvements in food distribution and consumption. The only way to actually kill them is by stopping their representations.

@youboob6022: Well, atleast I am right in that they are heralds of the apocalypse and bringers of the end of days ^^(those representations are the destined bringers of chaos of Armageddon after all). But where is white horse : /? White Horse is supposed to be Conquest. Death and Pestilence are usualy described/portrayed as the same manifestation. The common way the Horsemen are portrayed in is Conquest, War, Famine and Death although I'm not sure if that is the correct order in which they appear

I don't think Dean was horrified by Sam drinking the blood and using his powers even though he promised not to (although I'm sure he is a little) it's moreso he's never really seen Sam use them quite like that before. @cupcake101 Why are you mad at Sam? Sam's craving for demon blood was only exacerbated because of Famine's effect on him. Sam tried very hard to make sure he didn't go down that track again, even making Dean tie him up. At least he was honest with Dean about it this time, instead of lying and trying to cover up what he was feeling. Sam has come a long way from season 4 in that respect. It's nobody's fault but Famine's that Sam drank demon blood and used his powers!

I liked Famine. He was really creepy unlike War. I expected the horsemen to be more twisted than any of the demons we've seen but War let me down. Glad to see Famine didn't. I wonder about Pestilence and Death if we'll get to see them work.

James Otis's (Famine) performance was amazing! When Famine devours the first demon and said "Deliciousssss!!!!!", you can really see how well James makes the character relish the act of consumption! He was totally ruthless when he rolled into that diner, but when Sam walked in, his character totally shifted into a polar opposite.... caring, protective..... at least because that's Lucifer's vessel he has to look out for. lol. This show rocks!
