I was very upset when I saw how Skyward Sword looked. I like the game but I also want it to look good as well. The characters faces seem off, Zelda looks ugly in my opinion. Twilight Princess had awesome graphics when it came out and I loved it, it was dark too. It gave that game the right mood. As for Skyword sword, its hard to take the story seriously with its cartoony look and bright colors.
The graphics for SS are obviously going to be better than TP because it is a newer game and it does have better graphics (slightly better they both have amazing graphics) but the style is sort of different. TP's style It's kind of...i don't know but I love it fits with the feel of the game which is a little dark and/or gloomy considering the events and the colors are more dark and have gloomy feels to them. SS on the other hand has a more cartoonish style feel and vibrant colors.
Twilight Princess is more realistic and serious, Teens would like Twilight Princess.
Skyward Sword is more 3D and childish, Kids 8 - 10 would like it. I like both of the games. My favorite is Twilight Princess because i'm more serious about Legend of Zelda. I like Skyward Sword, but I felt they had more funny things (Ghriahim is all about himself, going to the bathroom, groose scared of tiny birds) than serious.

Lets not confuse graphics with artwork, SS has cartoonish artwork, but that doesn't mean it has lower graphic quality... some like cartoonish, others like realistic, either way I love both games
There's a problem with the logic here. Realistic does not automatically equal better. Yes, Twilight Princess has more realistic graphics, but that was to go with the darker atmosphere of the game. Skyward Sword had nowhere near the same atmosphere of Twilight Princess so they adopted a different art style to better suit the character of the game.

The graphics in Skyward Sword are poorer than Twilight Princess. I'm still astounded by Twilight Princess's graphics, they're stunning.
Graphics don't matter so much. I loved Windwaker is an amazing Zelda game. But honesty, i don't like SS so much...It doesn't have much to do... In TP you had to go fishing, the bugs, and other side quest. In SS only the bugs and the happiness thingy for the guy, and its not that fun(or entrained) its not much of a challenge i guess. :S (only my opinion)
For those of you who are unaware how graphics in a game works:
The polygon count in Skyward sword has increased, meaning everything is a lot smoother in this game. The only difference that you guys assume the graphics are worse is that they changed the coloring so it isn't such a dark game. Twilight Princess was meant to be a dark game, as a result they had the coloring style that they did.
Graphics might be lessened a bit, but Skyward Sword shows much more emotion, and I think Link looks a tad more handsome in Skyward Sword. I guess we'll wait for a perfect capture of both styles in the WiiU Zelda, when the day comes. ;) Both are great games too, though I really love the more challenging fights in Skyward Sword.

I find this funny how you think that SS is cartoony but TP is not simply because of the shading...That's like saying Shrek is not a cartoon because it's CG. The design has and always been cartoonish looking.Look at Link, Nobody's eyes are that big. He's never had a realistic design. Compare the past illustrations form old to new of the Zelda series and you'll see that there's nothing realistic behind any of the characters. PS Majora's Mask was by far the darkest Zelda game.

Actually SS Graphics are so much better, the cell-shading technique used in SS is nearly perfect. The art style is very different, yeah i give you that, but technically speaking the graphics in SS are far more acomplish.
Skyward Sword was a pretty good game. But Nintendo definitely put a new spin on this game, changing it from the Zelda we all know and love. That normally doesn't go well with video games nowadays. But I think it could definitely be worse. I really hope Zelda's stuff on the Wii U doesn't change anymore than it is right now. P.S. I liked Twilight Princess' graphics better :P

The story is contrived and next to irrelevant to the majority of the game. This is true of most Zelda games, however, it has always been mostly about the gameplay, by design. Having a bad story doesn't break a game ipso facto, but it doesn't help, and certainly shouldn't be touted as if it had a good one.
It's not that I can't handle them, it's that they are imprecise. Fortunately the game is easy.
Skyward sword looks like a watercolour painting, especially things that are in the distance. I think that's the kind of feel Nintendo were going for with this particular title, and to be honest, I like the uniqueness and colourfulness of it.

Skyward Sword was meant to be like Toon Link and Twilight Princess together. If you look at the ratings by ESRB, SS is E10, TP is Teen. SS was meant to be cute.

Though I think GRAPHICS DO MATTER, Really, two minutes? And if the game's awesome, it's awesome. The awesome isn't lost with the graphics, and it's two different artstyle's completely to compliment the game storyline. So in a way, the graphics fit perfectly.

Actually SS Graphics are so much better, the cell-shading technique used in SS is nearly perfect. The art style is very different, yeah i give you that, but technically speaking the graphics in SS are far more acomplish.

Skyward Sword was a pretty good game. But Nintendo definitely put a new spin on this game, changing it from the Zelda we all know and love. That normally doesn't go well with video games nowadays. But I think it could definitely be worse. I really hope Zelda's stuff on the Wii U doesn't change anymore than it is right now. P.S. I liked Twilight Princess' graphics better :P

@DarkboyDranzer Jagged edges, low resolution, often times colors are muddy.
The story is contrived and next to irrelevant to the majority of the game. This is true of most Zelda games, however, it has always been mostly about the gameplay, by design. Having a bad story doesn't break a game ipso facto, but it doesn't help, and certainly shouldn't be touted as if it had a good one.
It's not that I can't handle them, it's that they are imprecise. Fortunately the game is easy.

Skyward sword looks like a watercolour painting, especially things that are in the distance. I think that's the kind of feel Nintendo were going for with this particular title, and to be honest, I like the uniqueness and colourfulness of it.

Skyward Sword was meant to be like Toon Link and Twilight Princess together. If you look at the ratings by ESRB, SS is E10, TP is Teen. SS was meant to be cute.

I like both of them, Skyward sword is more colourful and full of lights, Twilight Princess is more dark, because it's all about fight between light and shadow. the gameplay is different but I love them because I am a huge Zelda's fan, and I won't choose a game by if it look good or not, I will try it too make my own opinion.

@jfachris Yeah, I played Skyward Sword and I've already beaten the game, which I'm glad about, because this game isn't worthy to be called Zelda because Skyward Sword is no real Zelda game like Super Mario Bros. 2 was no real Mario game but Doki Doki Panic. But Skyward Sword isn't the worst Zelda, the worst Zelda is Spirits Tracks and that's the game were the Zelda series starts being kind of gay and losing authenticity. I mean, fucking trains and no real overworld. Fuck this Spirit Tracks!!
