I love my mosquito! They are kinda picky on the ammo tho. The best that have worked for me are the 40 grain blazer in the 500 pack. And I've never had trouble with the cci mini mags either.
@posjoey Never tried the blazer. Apparently from the comments that I have read, the ammo that works is mostly everything that I haven't tried haha. When I buy more .22, I will weigh all comments and try out some new stuff. I have a case worth of CCI that I have collected over time. Looks like a Lego wall.
Well, i saw your other video (part 1). It's not your gun, so you should be happy. It's clearly the ammo that is giving you the problems. Do me a favor, give these a try, Remington in a green box of 500 rounds, it says 22 Thunderbolt on it (40 grain, lead round nose). Try those and let me know how many fails you get. Better yet, post a vid of it. Oh, and don't be so harsh on the squito bro. I would recommend this gun to anyone.LOTS of fun!
@flamitaz I will try it out. Oh don't get me wrong... I love this gun. otherwise I wouldn't have spent another 500 just on a can. I do know it was the ammo... it recommends CCI but I don't like paying more if I don't have to. Plus my squito was filthy. I'll keep an eye out for the green box of Thunderbolts. Thanks.
@polishman131 Sure it wasn't a female thing? I let my woman shoot and guys that act like women sometimes and my guns don't like them. haha true but kidding. I just wouldn't recommend this damn gun to anyone. Im keeping mine though. My bro just traded his at a gun show and was very happy to give it away and grab his ak trade. He almost got back what he bought it for, minus some repairs needed for it. Lucky basturd....
I had problems with the gold stuff on the remingtons coming off and starting up some fouling in the barrel of my .22 some people might like it but never again for me...
@WZW1982 yeah bulk .22 ammo is filthy, and mosquitos foul easy. Not a good combination. It's always best to spend a few more dollars and get the good stuff.
@badsugarterrors Have you tried the federal bulk? I am curious to know how that runs in the mosquito... i had good luck with it in my other guns and it seems to be a bit cleaner than most.
@WZW1982 No I sure haven't. If I would have seen it, I would have bought it. I did make a purchase yesterday on some subsonic remington. Really want to go out in my yard and shoot it.... but too many variables to that one.
@ThePatrick6122 To answer your comment, 200.00. Make sure you research it OR ask your local gun shop that carries class III items. There is A LOT of information to learn. Best way is to make friends with a competent silencer owner in your state.
@556suppressor Ive seen those, they aren't bad looking. Funny thing is, every gun I have, someone in this world is complaining about how crappy their gun is. And vice versa, I have people say their Mosquito runs flawless.
With my luck, me buying a gun because of a comment like yours, would end me up having the crappy GSG 1911 haha. One day I may look into them.
I bought a Mosquito used and love it. It's a great plinking gun for the range. But I quickly learned that CCI Mini Mags is the only ammunition I will buy for it. Yeah it's more expensive but very reliable. Remington is crappy and don't even get me started on Winchester. The reason for your ricochets is that your CCI's weren't hollow points. Excellent video. I hope you're enjoying your mosquito as much as I am mine.
@moonlitphantasm Thanks for your input. I know for a fact that the hiccups are because the gun was just plain dirty. But ammo played a huge part in it. I agree with your opinion. And thanks for your compliment. I actually enjoy my .45 much more. But it's soo damn cheap to shoot....!
very quiet, impressive performance. I have had alot of trouble finding a good 22lr ammo for my suppressor, but some are good, bad, and ok. I made a vid testing different ammo through my homemade silencer-10/22 combo
@MrJmfitch The reason I chose this alpine over the YHM is that this will fit on my 10/22. Just need to thread the barrel. I know a guy who quoted me 75 for thread and 25 for custom thread protector cap. Just haven't had 100 bucks to throw at that project. Nice... homemade mmmm.
@badsugarterrors You can thread your own if you have a long enough barrel.... just a simple tapping. Homemade is a fun project... just do it legal with a form 1. I made a slideshow on a technique to do it on my channel.
@sn1pedyou Yes it does. I had a feeling that it was not hot enough. But thanks for commenting because no one seems to be experiencing the same problems.
@badsugarterrors
Ran into you at the range today. Good talking to you. Subscribed. Check out my channel when you get the chance.

@badsugarterrors ya cci i would say is the best way to go. the blazer is just a little bit cheaper option and works good, for me at least.

i got my girlfriend a mosquito a few years back, had the same problem with the extractor. Tried all kinds of ammo, still had issues with jamming.

Buy a GSG 1911 .22. It shoots well with all ammo that I have used.

that winchester just doesn't have enough punch to cycle the gun properly... stick with cci and blazer hi velocity rounds...
i have the same problem with my s&w mp 15-22 only ammo that's strong enough to eject is the cci and blazer.... hope this helps

@badsugarterrors so did you ever try out the blazer ammo?
sn1pedyou 7 months ago
@sn1pedyou not yet. I haven't purchased new ammo or shot my mosquito in a while. But I will once I get settled.
