I don't like the liteon optical drives. I had the internal DH4O1S and after 5 months of use it wouldn't recognise some of my Blu ray movies. I read on the internet that the liteon's have trouble playing blu ray movies with dual layers. You are better off to spend more on a LG optical drive. I myself use 2 optical drives from LG.
I would imagine so, I use loads of LiteOn external drives with Leopard and Panther. Everytime with Leopard, you just plug it in and that's it. With Panther, you need PatchBurn (freeware, but it's kinder to donate).
