when I first saw Kazuhito in 2000 I thought: "what is he doing ?!?" He gave 2 shows: an amazing performance and a light show because you were occasionally blinded by the reflection from the chandeliers ! My former boss told me that he once played for Segovia and was the "smoothest" player that night.
I love this as played by harpist Victoria Drake and Yo-Yo Ma's recording of this Cello Suite but the technical virtuosity and dynamic nuances of Yamashita are spellbinding!
Its as if the the guitar has the man on hooks at the finger tips and is swinging him wildly about, his body struggling against the adamant and fluid consistency of the music
@TheGuitarMan009 Sort of. In truth I was also rather impressed with the mans ability to stumble through some rather hefty pieces from memory. I rather regret not posting an encouraging message at the time. I think that with as much concentration on technique and tone production as was spent memorising those pieces he could very well surprise and delight us all - if he picked something easier as well! Come back Robert, show us before and after and capitalise on your latent cult following.
maybe the best performance ever!!! perfectly showcases his unmatched technical abilities whilst keeping music and emotive melody completely relevant!! this son of a bitch suits it up and then LAYS IT THE FUCK DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!
He goes all in.....and WINS. Amazing!

I love this rendition. He really feels this piece. I'd love to to hear the rest of the suite in his hands- especially the allemande and gigue

@Peege101 You know, he has a cd out. I found it somehow via google, complete with streaming audio samples. It's pretty astounding.

@TheGuitarMan009 Indeed!, i haven't have the slightest clue who allowed him to perform in concert and the people who actually bought the tickets!
