  • il y en a 2 qui n'ont pas de coeur

  • After the film..they released the dolphins...ONLY to be eaten by some Japanese Tourist!!!

  • Very profund music and unique! Mercy Mr. Georges Delerue for make cry many times...

  • @stitchesful

    For the big screen.

    Beautiful tune!

    I love it.

    From Japan.

  • Was this a made-for-tv movie or was this made for the big screen?

  • @stitchesful IT was released big screen in 1973...and IT was a big ass bomb. NO ONE liked it...IT cost more money to make..than it made at the box office...EVERYONE panned this chicken of the sea. LOL...Georges Delerue score was nominated for an Oscar..as was the sound. After the shoot...The Cast and Crew had Grilled Dolphins!!! LOL

  • @UFOSPACE1999 Really? I had had no idea. But even if the movie was originally a bomb, didn't people come to like it over time? I know that "It's a Wonderful Life" was also a box office failure, but then became more and more famous as the years went by. I guess it wasn't successful at first because it came out just after WWII and people weren't interested in a sentimental type of story. Is it the same kind of thing with this movie?

  • @stitchesful Ur right on some films..but NOT in this case..it stinks like the two fish in it. AND still today on Rotten Tomatoes...43% of audiences like it... The Day of the Dolphin was NOT liked in 1973 and still today holds that honor!!! lol. Delerue's music is beautiful and IT could not even save this Chicken of the Sea.....

  • @UFOSPACE1999 So it has never caught on and people have never liked it? I've never even seen it, so I don't know if I would even like it. But it seems like more people like it than you say, since so many people have left comments here saying that they do. But you could still be right.

  • it's so sweet..i cryed all the afternoon..almost ç_ç

  • Lately I've been jaded and have a hard time feeling anything but nothingness.

Here in the dark now, listening to this song brings such a flood of emotions.

Animals give such a purity of unconditional love, yet we often give in return

explotation, suffering and death. Here's to the beauty and innocence of animals: LOVE YOU! :)

  • In the end the dolphins were released for their safety. The movie leads ran along the beach and had to hide in bushes, listening to the dolphins calling for them.

  • dammit what happened to the dolphins i never saw the end:(

  • it was originaly a short story in the back of a paperback book that had 2001 the dolphins rammed each other to stop the one from planting a bomb under a boat .

  • magnificato

  • Well now, doesnt this soundtrack bring back a memory or few! 1974. Sailed from Point Loma aboard the fair Chubasco. My certainty merely buoyed by the completeness of the moon. Porpoises, unfettered and illuminated, taunted the cuts of the bow. Utterly, life was something to behold and very muchsomething to believe in. This very soundtrack seeped from my little blue cassette that I clutched so dearly--so cautiously under the wheel. I was very much in love with nobody.

  • @ToxicRiotVideos If your words here are original, you should be writing something other than YouTube comments. Very nice.

  • my adopted mther is trish van devere im living with her right now, im 12 if you dont belive me then go to my profile

  • This music tears my heart out, not just because the film was so sad, but it makes me weep for all the cruelty in the world. What are we doing, polluting the seas when we should be cherishing and protecting all the creatures that live in it?

  • its the notes,as with any music we can hear make us feel a certain way.funny, isnt it!we listen, our hearing sense is being used, yet,we feel emotion, why?because everything has a vibration, and every vibration has a colour, and our bodies, well our chakras actually, pick up on these,we respond.

sorry i got a little carried away there.

    anyway,VIVRE GEORGES DELERUE!!!

i love him to bits, one of the all time great film composers.

  • yes you are so right, emotional.but isnt it a great feeling, its so real, that feeling it gives us,it shows how powerful and provocative it is,as a film with scott's wonderful performance and of course delerue's ingenious creation, the music makes it so much more moving.

  • It's why some composers have made careers out of their music. Why we associate their works with the movies.Ennio Morricone added more to the spaghetti westerns than Clint Eastwood did.Ennio's music made Clint's acting seem better. And makes the spaghetti westerns the classics they have become.

  • i love it

  • I hated the ending of this movie. Not because it was bad, but because the scene was so emotional.

  • And,unlike a movie from today,it didn't need to show us what happened to Ma and Pa.We allready knew.
