I agree totally! I really miss E.Furlong's delivery of the 'Terminator' material. I think he was wronged by the film industry. In the movie business, they could have gotton him and the films: T2 and T3 would have been more iconic and memorable. The later films did not make sense without him.

So either way, Rise of the Machines and Salvation sucked because of the story and even with Furlong it wouldn't have made a difference.

Anybody who demerits the new movie based on a nostalgia induced hypothetical is an asshole. I would have loved it if all the T-movies had one consistent actor playing the role of Connor (furlong, being he was the first, and did an outstanding job), but hey, guess what, the course of his life didn't coincide with the making of the movies, and they made do without it. Get over it.

I remember an article from an old People magazine from '06 talking about his then-new soberness and his son. Still, I think he drinks and smokes heavily. You can tell in interviews. I hope the guy gets over it and gets good roles like he had in the 90's.
