  • Great band, I love FOGHAT and vinyl

  • WHO WAS THE ONE JACK ASS COMMUNIST-DEMOCRAT THAT DOESN'T LIKE FOGHAT AND DRIVIN' WHEEL??????????????????????

  • @THEGREATSATANDOZEN wannabe

  • I saw them in the Sam Houston Colosiem in March of 1978 with BTO ( minus Randy Bauchman ) and Judis Priest. Great show but it was TOO FUCKING LOUD!!!!!!

Houston TX. late seventies, great time!

  • Not related to the Supremes' "You're My Driving Wheel".

This song was heard on the recent January 8, 1977 AT40: The 70's broadcast.

  • I just got into these guys when I heard them yesterday on the radio.

  • I seen these guys with blue oyster cult at the spectrum in philly in 1981! man what a show and lonesome daves voice was the best ever! and this album by far was their best ever along with Live !

  • @AntiTrustNJ nice! i was born in 81

  • Hero.

  • Rock? again. Does this song rock or what! We miss you Lonesome Dave.

  • Was that Pre-amp Output?

  • I love it! Foghat was a feel-good band. Most people I meet don't even know who they are. What a sad situation. They rocked!

  • @CatLady491 I dont think foghat set out to be a feel good band, and i never got that from them. I am 49 yrs old, every time i hear that opening it makes me fell 17 all over again. or in terms of my gen,,,,who has one to burn?

  • Great song, I never thought this song even made the Top 40 to be honest with you cause you hardly hear this song on the radio

  • I am 15 and all i want from this world is a cut and a harley!

  • So they did make other songs besides Slow Ride! haha

  • in gta 4 tbogt i get in a buzzard or a buffalo and i go all around the city!

  • riffa very same as AC/DC

  • @algnilam AC/DC?? They only play 4 chords!

  • @455Transam yep :) but strong chords!

  • @algnilam BTW....FOGHAT was around way before AC/DC.

  • @455Transam ok )) i like Foghat too, just noticed similar sound

  • My record machine broke =( but that was awsome man!

  • all likes and no dislikes, just the way it should be

  • FOGHATS BEST TUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One of my favorite bands in the day. You almost HAD to start any party with this song. Or if the party was getting a little stale or boring this would damn sure get people moving.

  • thumbs up if heard on gta 4 episodes from liberty city!

  • nice turntable

  • I heard this song in home depot the other day.I forgot what a rockin tune it is,.Love it!!

  • OHHHHH FUCK YA! Love it!

  • Foghat hit #34 in Billboard, 1-15-77. God bless ya, VinylCentral, for postin' it. Thanx! RIP, Lonesome Dave Peverett.

  • Vinyl is the only way to listen to this classic!!!

  • this audio has a deep rich full sound.. Im no sound tech, but I can tell this has a great tone and groove...Groovy man I wish all of them sounded this good.

  • Awesome sound quality on this one! I had Night Shift on cassette back in the day, and now have a nice vinyl copy! Thanks for posting, and disputing WMG on this.

  • Yeah folks, this type of music & talent is all but gone! Today when you listen to your rock radio station they,re still playing this same type of music. No one out there has the talent to write songs & the skill to play this type of music. I,ve yet to go to a concert with my wife to watch Tim McGraw, Toby Keith , etc. Not because they,re not talented, its not my type of music. My wife watched some videos on YOUTUBE of rock groups like Foghat & Zeppelin & can,t believe how much sound they produce

  • Excellent!

  • I found other versions too by the new version of driving wheel by foghat again but the voice was different! This one was what i was looking for!

  • I remember the summer of '77, cruising in my 73 Mustang with the windows down and this song cranked up doing 80mph on the freeway. Life was great then.

  • Liberty Rock Radio, YEAH!!!!!!!

  • Best video of the original studio version on youtube. Ever.

  • still have my album, gotta get my turntable fixed!!!!!!!!!!!! saw these guys in asheville way back when. it was a heck of a show.

  • smoked alota grass to this song... for all you stoners out there, keep tokin'

  • I'm jealous

  • WOW!!!! Nothing like vinyl...

  • omg that just freaked me out. Been years since I seen that "album". Yeah Im old(50)

  • Oh how I miss playing with my vinyl: take it out of gear between speeds and slow it down, speed it up...original scratching, great for speeding up crashbang endings...!

  • FUCKEN COOL DUDE!

  • Isn't Nick Jameson a soap-opera star now or something? He was such a great producer and bass player

  • I had this album and used to crank it up!!!!! Great memories!!

  • Bearsville Records and FOGHAT a great combo! Rock that Drivin' Wheel Lonesome Dave!!!

  • great sound great song...thanx man

  • NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup i love this song on that game.

  • still have my album. just can't turn it up far enough, it only goes to ten. oh those nights during the 70s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The classic *THUNK* of a needle finding the groove-and what a groove! Didn't Foghat do a song called "Rock and Roll Outlaw"? All I find for that title are different songs by groups who can NOT compete with this.

  • @marynightshade yes, it was on their 4th album, oddley enough the album was called rock and roll outlaws also.

  • SNAP, CRACKLE, POP - Great song off a great album. Reminds me of when I was young.

  • this song will be good for a supernatural music video. Sam, Dean, Bobby, Castiel, Anna, Luicfer and the most focus character or prop the Impala. little bit of action but the driving road scenes more. suck it twilight.

  • ONe of my favoriet Rock albums of the 70's This is True Rock and Roll in it's prime!

  • thats amazing sound quality ill look for that vinyl

  • Listened to this track when it was on EA Sport's NASCAR 05. This song is hard to come by on YouTube. The stuff I found were live recordings. THIS is going straight ot my Music Playlist! Thanks, pal!

  • @kidcrash2000 it was nascar 06, but nevertheless a great song and thats where i first heard it :)

  • @kidcrash2000 You think this song is hard to come by, try finding their song called "Drive me home". Even though I used to have it on Limewire, I can't find it anywhere lately. Too bad 'cause that's one of their best.

  • It's weird, if you ever listen to a Savoy Brown album, and THEN listen to one from Foghat, I swear that you'll say: Lonesome Dave copped a GOOD attitude! There's a 'common denominator' here. Savoy Brown: "I feel alright, with my needle and spoon." Lonesome Dave: "I'm looking for an easy way that I can set-aside, and watch the cash roll-in!"

  • Pure awsomeness love this off lost and damned

  • My favourite song off GTA The Lost and Damned.

  • I was cracking up at the beginning of this video. Cute and clever.

I actually searched this son. This was always my favorite Foghat song. Like Ma Bell was always my favorite ELO song, and 11th hour is my favorite Lamb Of God song! =) It's all about taste, right?

    Cool vid. Thanks.

    Peace all.

  • Thanks for a studio version of one of my favs. I seen Foghat in 87 at Ft. Campbell KY, Lonesome Dave wasnt with em but great show.

  • foghat named for gettin stoned i dug it then i dig it now man

    tommy gee gaston

  • GREAT TUNE!!!!! ROCK N ROLL!!!!

  • nothing like the original version....outstanding!

  • Blast these starts and stops! What causes 'em? Anyway, hit #34 in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in the UK? RIP, Lonesome Dave. God bless!

  • well better than any cds

  • pretty much defines 70's rock n' roll

  • I love this song

  • GREAT SOUND !!!

  • esto es música

  • Very Nice... nothing like the warm sound of vinyl.

I have to say that WMG is far to anal about people promoting songs they own... isn't that like free advertisement?????

I think people should be paid, not harrassed !!!!

They really need to reconsider this.

  • Yesterday this video was blocked by WMG.

  • How did this change?

  • i used the dispute form page sent one out and got it switched back

  • You are very lucky to win the WMG dispute on this song! You will lose most of them, causing you to end with a strike.

  • I have a good faith belief that the material was disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, and that I am not intentionally abusing this dispute process.

actually very easy to win instantly

  • But I mostly hear unsuccessful disputes. Are they doing something wrong?

  • i guess ive gotten this one unlocked and a couple on my other channel as well

  • @VinylCentral The feud with WMG has been over since late last year. I won a similar dispute with a Genesis clip and said the band is on WMG for only the US and Canada whilst they are on EMI for the rest of the world.
