I saw them in the Sam Houston Colosiem in March of 1978 with BTO ( minus Randy Bauchman ) and Judis Priest. Great show but it was TOO FUCKING LOUD!!!!!!
I seen these guys with blue oyster cult at the spectrum in philly in 1981! man what a show and lonesome daves voice was the best ever! and this album by far was their best ever along with Live !
@CatLady491 I dont think foghat set out to be a feel good band, and i never got that from them. I am 49 yrs old, every time i hear that opening it makes me fell 17 all over again. or in terms of my gen,,,,who has one to burn?
One of my favorite bands in the day. You almost HAD to start any party with this song. Or if the party was getting a little stale or boring this would damn sure get people moving.
this audio has a deep rich full sound.. Im no sound tech, but I can tell this has a great tone and groove...Groovy man I wish all of them sounded this good.
Awesome sound quality on this one! I had Night Shift on cassette back in the day, and now have a nice vinyl copy! Thanks for posting, and disputing WMG on this.
Yeah folks, this type of music & talent is all but gone! Today when you listen to your rock radio station they,re still playing this same type of music. No one out there has the talent to write songs & the skill to play this type of music. I,ve yet to go to a concert with my wife to watch Tim McGraw, Toby Keith , etc. Not because they,re not talented, its not my type of music. My wife watched some videos on YOUTUBE of rock groups like Foghat & Zeppelin & can,t believe how much sound they produce
I remember the summer of '77, cruising in my 73 Mustang with the windows down and this song cranked up doing 80mph on the freeway. Life was great then.
Oh how I miss playing with my vinyl: take it out of gear between speeds and slow it down, speed it up...original scratching, great for speeding up crashbang endings...!
The classic *THUNK* of a needle finding the groove-and what a groove! Didn't Foghat do a song called "Rock and Roll Outlaw"? All I find for that title are different songs by groups who can NOT compete with this.
this song will be good for a supernatural music video. Sam, Dean, Bobby, Castiel, Anna, Luicfer and the most focus character or prop the Impala. little bit of action but the driving road scenes more. suck it twilight.
well nevere got too post it all guess i WILL be the ENEMY ,,you tube is such a censor problems comming....BET..nothing of what i wrote posted...bet none of thi will either if it does..youtube ..is afraid...
Listened to this track when it was on EA Sport's NASCAR 05. This song is hard to come by on YouTube. The stuff I found were live recordings. THIS is going straight ot my Music Playlist! Thanks, pal!
@kidcrash2000 You think this song is hard to come by, try finding their song called "Drive me home". Even though I used to have it on Limewire, I can't find it anywhere lately. Too bad 'cause that's one of their best.
It's weird, if you ever listen to a Savoy Brown album, and THEN listen to one from Foghat, I swear that you'll say: Lonesome Dave copped a GOOD attitude! There's a 'common denominator' here. Savoy Brown: "I feel alright, with my needle and spoon." Lonesome Dave: "I'm looking for an easy way that I can set-aside, and watch the cash roll-in!"
I was cracking up at the beginning of this video. Cute and clever.
I actually searched this son. This was always my favorite Foghat song. Like Ma Bell was always my favorite ELO song, and 11th hour is my favorite Lamb Of God song! =) It's all about taste, right?
I have a good faith belief that the material was disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, and that I am not intentionally abusing this dispute process.
@VinylCentral The feud with WMG has been over since late last year. I won a similar dispute with a Genesis clip and said the band is on WMG for only the US and Canada whilst they are on EMI for the rest of the world.

Very Nice... nothing like the warm sound of vinyl.
I have to say that WMG is far to anal about people promoting songs they own... isn't that like free advertisement?????
I think people should be paid, not harrassed !!!!
They really need to reconsider this.
