  • what kind of scream u doin man? is it death? false chord? i doubt its fry

  • @Lekiwi33

I actually don't know what technique I'm using. But I've heard the fry screaming of some dudes here on youtube and it sounds pretty different.

So,I guess it's false chord screaming. Someone on another vid of mine told me that I'm using falshe chord vocals.

    cheers

  • This is sick! MORE VIDEOS! ODIN COMMAND YOU!

  • Epicness! Really nice cover dude, do some more =D.

  • @SasukeYusuke

    I hope I will. Thanks =D

  • Very good.

The clipping hurts my ears though :(

Check mic gain and channel volume settings before and after any takes.

  • @boerdi

I don't know why, but he's voice comes very clear through my headphones, with only slight background clipping.

Fortunately, because this is downright epic. It's typically StealerAG to be so exact.

    Fucking love it :D

  • @TheToxicVoid

    Slight? :D

The clipping is quite prominent and on the border of being unlistenable.

My guess is that the total volume of the track (sum of background + vocals) is too loud.

TLDR: The performance is great but the mix is crap :)

  • @boerdi

Not only the mixing, also the equipment. :( We poor performers need some donation lolol.

  • @boerdi

Hi Boerdi. Yes,you're right, there was some clipping in the waves of the vocal track. Expecially on the "yelled" parts. Even though I think the clipping it's not too prominent, I would like to know how to change the gain.

But I don't know where to look. I've found the channel volume bar ( in fact on this cover I turned it down in order to reduce the clipping ) and I've found nothing about the gain. I use audacity.

  • @StealerAG

Try Reaper! (Google the link, Youtube does not let me post links here...)

It's a "free" sequencer program, much better for recording stuff. It allows you to assign the background music and the vocals to their own channels and adjust volume levels, EQ, etc etc...

(The program says "buy me" at startup all the time but you can use it for free for an unlimited amount of time.)

  • @boerdi One more thing: How much useful is the mic stand when recording vocals? =)

  • @StealerAG

I want to get used to microphone stands. Someday we will record our demo cd and I want to be prepared :)

And it keeps your hands free :D

Almost forgot: I got my new condenser mic and so i HAVE to use the mic stand.

I will upload something soon (when I get rid of that nasty cold...)

  • @TheToxicVoid

    Haha,thank you Brandon =)
