At :35, you explain that Germany can cut (Army Edi - Nwy; Fleet Nth C Army Edi - Nwy) with (Fleet Den - Nth), which makes the English move (Army Edi - Nwy; Fleet Nwg C Army Edi - Nwy; Fleet Nth S Army Edi - Nwy) preferable to the other variation (Army Edi - Nwy; Fleet Nth C Army Edi - Nwy; Fleet Nwg S Army Edi - Nwy).

In actuality, support orders can be cut by a single unit, not convoys, so the latter is best.

@Telenoth I have a comment in the video to explain why this could happen (French Fleet in English channel could support German Fleet to North sea), but yes I regret mentioning this now, you are perfectly safe to convoy via North Sea otherwise.

I think your comment on convoying the English army using the Norwegian Sea is inc orrect. The German fleet can cut SUPPORT of the North Sea fleet but must DISLODGE the North Sea fleet to interrupt a convoy. Therefore, using the North Sea fleet to convoy, supported by the Norwegian Sea fleet would be the successful move.

Im playing this game online and Im playing as France. Ive made peace with Italy wich is working out nicely since I got Spain and Portugal. However, Im not going to attack Italy until England and Germany are taken out. Im gonna go for England since he has his units in Scandanavia and Belguim. Ive convinced England to go for germany. While he does that I attack england from behind with my naval units! he he he

@1982circaguy Sounds like a very sensible plan to me. When the war with England is underway why not see if Austria or who ever is left to italys east, will fancy attacking Italy - then they will be nice and weak for your own invasion.

In tests at top levels of gaming Italy scores by far the lowest (1 pt for a win, shared points between surviving nations). The basic reason is the "touching border with Austria" and the "War on 2 fronts" issue. More to come..

when armies of equal force try to get into the same space its a standoff. so one army supported by another (or by a fleet) vs an opposing army supported by another (or fleet) = 2 v 2, so a standoff.

Also, a convoy is only disrupted if the fleet is dislodged. Thus, a standoff will still allow a convoy to succeed, so england should convoy with north sea and support with norwegian sea so the support isn't cut

Can't Russia interfere in Norway by moving army Moscow to St. Petersburg.

@calvinhobbesliker2 - good point, they could - although when England plays correctly they wont get in - it wil be a standoff, so most Russian players go south at the start to make gains.
