  • You are a motherfucker of a player. Awesome rendition.

By the way, starting your instructional vids. Thank you for that.

    Carry on!

  • I like both versions of this waltz you play :) I love how in the end you improvise by playing a random low key that isn't in the composition of the song, just for fun! It's really good and any time I look for different interpretations of this song I always think yours is the best!

  • I love this its awesome i wish I could play this but I have only been playing for less than a year and am only in grade 5 :P lol good job anyways :)

  • haha, at the end of this one youre like "thats how i roll, out", then youre newest one youre like "YEAHHHHH!!!"

  • Damn your so good :)

  • wow that was fast

    holy cow

  • Your corporal lenguage at the end says a lot, and not just the note. i read about the thing of heart and the medication stuff. you looked like that was troubling you, well, it must make you really happy to continue playing, this video i think it has a great emotional value and thanks for sharing it,

  • Awesome! :D

  • a refilmed version in HD is coming SOON! :D

  • Great! i cant wait ;-)

  • @Lypur thanks for you lesons they are really helpful, God bless you!

  • It's not so bad....just a little too fast.

  • I checked out your site Andrew, and I like it a lot. Very informative, and classy!

  • Nice. Better than I played it. lol

  • great playing, when i learn fur elise from your video i hope to play chopin's waltz in d minor, thank you for posting.

  • you added a note at the end, the lowest D flat~ i like it !!

  • @christophenwang

I think he added the an A

  • nice. very different from how i play it but very nice. but one thing... dont fuck up the last scale thats brutal :D

    greets

  • how long did it take you to learn this?

    its taking me FOREVER

  • really? it took me about 2 or 3 hours...

  • well then .. i guess im just not as good as you...

  • wow thats terrific!! Piano Master :)! I wish i will one day play a half from this what you play. How long do you practice daily?

I begun 3 month ago with my piano, and at the moment it is real difficult, sometimes i hate it :D

oh... and many thanks for your tutorials!!!

    Greetings

  • WOW, look at those fingers move. This I've heard before, but I know for sure I appreciate it more today.

  • Who knows someday I will play just like this. I`ve started my classes last week. In ten years time, maybe :)

  • Well, i do watch your engagement story so i know your are actual .............. :P

  • holy shit! thats seriously one of the fastest songs on the piano!!... and the only one i cant play lol

  • Good for you,at least now you know you have one goal to accomplish.

  • ended with an extra note remind me of Fryderyk... but if you ended up originally it might sounds like Chopin or maybe even Lypur XD

  • Also 100% irrelevent

  • ive watched ur other vidios and my brother thinks your gay and he means it with no offence we think ur great but r u?

    like gay?

  • 100% straight

  • If you were gay, that will be ok,i mean cause hey, i like you anyway.Bacause you see, if it were me,i would feel free to say that i was gay, but i am not gay.

  • i wouldn't mind so much if people asked me once. but i've been asked like over a hundred times. Plus it's not even related to music? It's just annoying now. Has nothing to do with feeling free to say anything.

  • Well, this is actually evenue Q song lyric, just kind of remind me the song when people ask you the "question".Go check the song"if you were gay" and sorry to get you annoy.Nice play.:D

  • cityboys12: He's engaged.. to a woman.

  • thank you for doing your homework ^_^ anyone who's watched my videos knows me well enough to know i'm engaged ^_^

  • Haha, you're welcome.

Thank you for bothering to reply to that message! ^_^

  • ^_^ and thank you for leaving that comment.

  • ^_^

  • @Lypur Well if she trips and falls down a well, look me up. I'm a Linux, too! :)

  • ONE WORD: beautiful

  • I just had to slap myself to make sure this was reality *jaw drop*

I love this song i even have it on my ipod. I like chopins music

  • pretty amazing. I started playing piano a year ago, but i jumped into things i just learned songs. I didnt really know the theory of the piano or the basics. the only thing i really knew how to do was press keys. I started to watch your videos and im learing fast. But i was wondering how long do you think it will take for me to play in a rock band. i kinda messed around in one but i was not good enough.

  • I'd love to see you do Stars and Stripes Forever by Horowitz!

  • you have earned my subscription wow that was incredible i like the breakdowns u had too. looking forward to more from you soon

  • *jaw drop*

  • ooh :) I like getting that kind of reaction from people

  • WOW, I wanna do that!

  • you can ^_^ with practise!

  • This is VERY awesome. Keep up the good work.

  • thanks! I'm glad you liked it

  • dude your really good, im learning how to play a couple of the songs that u have on youtube, ive been playing for two years and my piano teacher goes too slow so i always look up songs like these, and yours are super good, lol

do you make your own music?

  • could i have your old piano??? hahahaha

  • but...it has so much sentimental value *sniff* *tears welling up in eyes*

  • That was really really good!

  • Freak speed :)

  • You should play a Liszt Paganini etude, or Chopin Ballade. That would be awesome with your technique.

  • Sigh... when will I be able to play this? Cool piece, and I fell in love with when I listened to the BBC gameshow "Just A Minute".

  • :) haha there's a game show on BBC with this music? that's hilarious! I never knew that! :) but then again I don't have BBC either! So how would i know!? :) anyway! thanks for listening!

  • On BBC Radio 4 there is a game show called 'Just a minute' which has this piece as it's 'theme tune'. I love Just a minute and I love this piece so I'm very happy! :)

  • lol this song is called 'minute waltz' but it actually takes 1 minute and 31 seconds XD

  • Oh, my, that was fast! :D Great playing, I agree with Thomas. ^^

  • thank you!

  • This is AWESOME! :D

  • Why thank you Thomas! :) I'm thrilled you like it :) think I should relearn the piece and post up a GOOD quality version of this?

  • wow i cant believe i clicked this video by accident. seriously i've been searching for this song for almost half a year! no joke!! man, i wish i could hug you!!

  • almost a year? wow, well interesting what you stumble over hey? Well, hugs are never a bad thing...well that's not true, a hug from a sweaty dude who hasn't showered for a month is not good... anyway ^_^ thanks for the comment

  • This was the very first song i ever learn't. I played it very slowly and without the left hand haha.

  • haha! wow you really picked a brutal song to start as your first song! This isn't the hardest song in the world, but it definitely is not the easiest, especially for a beginner to learn! :)

  • I know. I decided to play a grade 6 song rustle of springs after 12 weeks of playing.

  • I'm learning this right now, slow practice is helping, its only hard when i play it at the right speed, and i'm the only one ever of my piano teachers students to have learnt it.... or learning it i should say....

  • ur hair look.... small :P

  • Però ci vuole ELEGANZA anche quando si ha terminato di suonare!!

  • I no How to play that Song but i don`t think i could Play it as well as you did

  • aww thanks! Hey awesome, you can play it to?! cool! I'd love to see a video some time

  • NICE JOB MAN!!!!! I noticed you missed a few notes but it still sounds good. Nice job. ^_^

  • Im on your Lesson no. 2 (^o^)/, i hope someday i can play these pieces too.

  • bravo! amazing interpretation. you are truly talented.

  • thank you very much ^_^ i'm glad you enjoyed it

  • OMFG HOLY !@#$!!!!!!!!i wish i could play like that lol

  • lmfao! I love your reaction there! :D made me smile, then laugh. Thanks for that ^_^

  • bravo!!!

  • you cant keep the same speed through out the whole song

  • sorry, this piece wasn't polished when i played it. I played it much better before, but thanks anyway

  • you´ve got excellent speed in the beginning, keep it up!

  • AAaaa te quedo super bien! me encanto! I like it alot....i really want to learn this song! GOod job!

  • the begining its a bit fast

  • yea, i didn't acsidently play that speed, my intention was to be quick, and there weren't any wrong notes until the very end where i hit a G instead of the A coming down. This is my fast version of the song, i have a slower more emotional version. but in this video i was going for speed ^_^

  • i didn't hear the wrong note. and when was there that extra note at the end?

  • on the final scale/passage i hit a G# instead of the A.... *sniff*

  • the speed is actually very good

  • thank you ^_^

  • muito rápido! :D

  • Hi! I'm studying piano too, I have a question, in how much time could you pratice that?

  • mmmm...maybe 3-4 months to get it learnt and polished...but it really depends on your ability

  • the middle section is the harder part of this.and it's hard to resist making it flashy, when it's really a salon piece.you need to respect chopin's score.your ending was awful and ruined the rest of the performance.

  • I'm quite aware this isn't the best i can do. I have tendonitous in both my arms as a side effect from medication i was forced to take because of a random heart condition i developed...it's a long story...I recorded this when i thought i might never be able to play again. This was one of my favorite songs from about 2 years earlier, so it was unpolished....

  • hen i had it all polished up I got standing ovations for this song always played it note perfect, and the most respected teacher and adjudicator in all the north said it was the best version of the song she's ever heard including the Chopin international competition. Your comment seemed pretty darn negative though? I looked you up and other people have talked about your negative comments...do you just like picking other people apart to make yourself feel better?

  • not at all...i only commented on your vid to even the score with another user who you seemed to be rather too harsh with as well.touche?

  • ah, well sorry for the misunderstanding ^_^

  • lypur i have re-recorded my version of this waltz, i would like to know your opinion, i will not attack, lol. there are only a few of us to share the information knowing the piece deeply

  • i think u played amazingly ... simple as. well done!

  • i can see that you enjoyed the song by playing it fast, but it's originally supposed to be a little bit slower. but im' not critizing at all in any way, good job 5 stars.

  • I am actually learning this song right now, you did really good in my opinion, inspired to keep on trucking...haha, keep it up man

  • Your good, you have nice control and your right hand and left hand blend properly. However, in my opinion the middle is played too slow, along with the rest of the piece. And the speed will come to you with more practice. Also, you should add more emotion to your playing. Your good, but thats the difference between good and great. :)

  • actually i gave you 4 stars twice

  • well, you said there were "soo many wrong notes" where there only a few, 5, maybe 6? but you were right it needs more work but its always the same.... more work, a nd.. you critiziced my work so i did the same, what you wanted is really difficult to do with a fast waltz, you need to practise every day at least playing other things to have your hands ready, i didn't want to insult either,i think emotion is the first thing on chopin, good work anyway!

  • i think that piano is not good enough for you.

  • well, i guess all that would be your opinion. I can agree i played this with less than satisfactory emotion, i used to play this song better when I practiced it regularly. When I made this recording I had just relearnt the song that day, and only wanted a recording of it, because my tendonitous was getting really bad and I was scared I would never be able to play this song again.

  • I think you're getting just a tad defensive over the whole thing, i wasn't trying to insult you, i accepted your video response didn't i?

  • i think your interpretacion is boring than mine, and this is because of the sonority, the center passage has to be a bit faster in my opinion, the crescendo is not good enough in the trino to finish on forte.you dont make nearly any difference in the whole work it seems is always forte, and buy some good microphones!!lol

  • in the beginning the acommpaniment sounds too much, it is a very similar end to the barenboim's one in one recital that is here on youtube. even with mistakes i prefer my recording,eh?lol, your recording is like a robot playing the piano, and there's no emotion, barenboim get's emotion on chopin recording's and pollini as well, that's what i thnk,it is not cientific, lol.

  • Well done bro, great skills, keep doing your thing it is definitely worth it!

  • thanks alot ^_^

  • You played it PERFECTLY (except one slip at the end.) ;)

But it was simply AWESOME!!! I play this a tad slower, and my hands slip off the black keys. How do you keep them there?

  • thanks you for the nice comment! the key to playing this song is, keep your arm above the keys, i think of my arms like it's in the clouds, and my fingers are far away enough so that when i extend them they can just barely reach the keys, this gives it that fast light sound. I could show you more in real life, but yea...you don't live in Prince George BC Canada by any chance?

  • I think you have all the notes down well. Needs a little more effect though. Add "drama" or more emotion to the songs transitions. Slow and easy in some parts. Good Job though. It's a tough music.

  • way better than ur old one, lol. u added more dynamics but it's still not enough to amuse people. again, try to be loud at the climaxes, that is how Chopin wanted. Watch my Minute Waltz hopefully coming soon, you'll understand what i mean!!!

  • Oh, you did see it, I didn't see this comment when i left my other reply. Yea, I'd love to see your version of it, when you get it on here, send me a message and attach the video to it. Thanks

  • I really like the way you play this. I started learning this piece about five weeks ago. I'm doing well with it, but now I need to work on the speed. Thanks for the encouragement!

  • No problem ^_^, thanks for the comment. Good luck learning it!! it's a very fun song to play!

  • nice job. I enjoy it. You make it look so easy

  • Thanks! it's funny you say that you think i made it look easy. That's actually the key to playing this song. You need to keep your arms just above the keys, kind of like suspending your arms above, and let your hands float across the keys. While i'm playing this song, i just say "play it easy, play it easy, it's easy" over and over in my head ^_^ and it's funny, just saying that actually makes it easy!

  • actually very impressive, and seems so effortless, good stuff.

  • nice job, i just started this song today, tried sight reading the 1st page lol, (im 16)

  • Nice man, I'm currently working on this song for an audition at a college I'm attending next year, almost finished the second part of it. But that was well done

  • thanks, i'm glad you liked it

  • nice piano your dad is rich? lol

  • no...:S i work a full time job and a part time job to pay for it...

  • I love this song - this is one of the songs I always know how to play LOL even when I've been out of the game. Even though I'm not playing anymore, I think your technique is awesome =) When did you start learning?

  • I started when i was 5 years old. I know what you mean, about being out of the game. I've had tendonitous for about a year now. but I still love to play this song...I'm sure it isn't good for me to play it...but i love it!

  • it's a yamaha 5'3 baby grand

  • Well played and the piano sounds very good...what make is your new piano?
