I know people that dropped out and still have no education certificate and are smarter then most people i have met or seen with college degrees. My Diploma is meaningless to me so much even so that i lite it on fire my grad night. Its just papaer with letters people nothing big its basically a paper bag with different words thats in some shitty frame. You should only go to school if you feel like you need to. We should get rid of that freedom eating no child left behind act.

@xe989 I agree we need to move jobs back into the U.S. I don't see how that has anything to do with our education system though. If you want to drop out of high school/college and work at a factory for the rest of your life, more power to you, but many of us prefer to pursue higher education so we can do something more interesting with our lives.

And our government doesn't just put higher taxes on everything...in fact taxes are currently lower than they were 30-60 years ago.

Do you think having a master's degree makes you more qualified tan one with a bachelor's degree forthe work force? I don't. Yes, I believe in education, and yes, stay in schoolm but if you get a decen job in your field or any other one with a bachelor degree, you're just as good as one with a master's degree.

if there is one good reason to stay in school...its that when you're in school no one expects anything out of you! Doesn't make sense? Think about it...when you're talking to your folks/family friends they always ask "What are you doing with your life blah blah blah etc." If you were to say "Well, i dropped out, just hangin out etc," they'd say "when are you gonna do this/that etc." If you tell them you're in school, you get no questions, no bullshit...they just say "ok, sounds good"...trust me

I think that highschool trains you in life for learning and comprehending the information you need to know later in life. So even though 99% of the stuff you learn in highschool is useless, it still develops your learning skills.

Nothing I learned in school or college taught me how to do the job I do today, which I enjoy. I work on and fix computers. I taught myself in my spare time, hands on. 

School didnt teach me how to live on my own and survive on my own. I taught me.

Not quite, I hate people, school taught me assholes with parents that make money are 'cool' even when they are douches and that is true even now. It isnt what you know its who you know. @Xamaza I think school isn't there to teach us how to live our lives. However, many of us will need to learn some structure, discipline, social skills and organization ( not to mention the basic competences) which schools are providing.

Also, most employers will choose the employe with a diploma.
