toni cipriani - he was a fat badass in gta3 making him a badass in lcs

niko bellic - had a rough life in the war and have 12 of 15 comrades die and seeing some fucked up shit makes him awsom

@DVDMattR That is also your opinion, I thought the story for gta 4 was pretty good. Obviously you cant judge the top down ones for story because really there is none, but I think the worst was GTA III. The San Andreas expansion on it and LCS doesnt count. GTA VC I love, but I dont think I could pick a best story out of the series. If I could go back and change the game, I would just have the camera movable like in later games and make the deluxo look exactly like a delorean :)

@FupaStudios Yeah, but as much as I love Vice City, San Andreas would be great with GTA IV graphics. They already have a mod for it that makes it look much better, same thing exists for Vice City, but it works much better in San Andreas. If you're a PC user you should check out some of the graphic tweaks.

GTA SA- absolutely massive but the storyline wasn't the best (but it did have the jetpack!)

GTA IV- could not get into it nearly as much as the others, poor main character, storyline not great, awesome graphics though.

I totally agree that SA is massive, it's my favourite in the series. The voice-actors, the gangsta-setting, the main character (though not so "powerful" as Don Vercetti) were all perfect.

So GTA IV were a little disappointing, Niko is a weakling compared to Carl "Superman" Johnson, the story was OK, could've been better though the graphics + physics were amazing compared to SA.

Even though I love SA's music (Radio Los Santos in particular), I have to admit that VICE CITY HAS THE BEST MUSIC! :D

As a gaming veteran (since 1981), Gotta say, GTA Vice City is THE single best game ever released. The storyline, the voiceover talent, the gameplay/graphics & especially the soundtrack & DJ's (Wave103 in particular). 10/10 all-round.

If i was gonna nitpick & find a flaw, it would be that Vice City isnt big enough. Come on Rockstar......Give Vice City a PS3 makeover and EXPAND EXPAND EXPAND !

& BTW, you did a great job with the same radio themes for Vice City Stories, so same again please !

well, you overlook the aiming problems and general controlling Tommy on foot. Also some missions were unbelieveble hard due to random factors and you still had to load up your old save file and drive back to the mission and start it again.

But yeah, despite that, VIce City is still the best GTA ever created and I hope GTA V will be there with the style of Gay Tony.

In terms of soundtrack quality, yes, I would very much agree. GTA 4 in terms of a game was frickin awesome. There are some ways it is superior and inferior to GTA IV. I felt San Andreas had a good soundtrack. I hated the game. Haven't played Liberty City Stories or Vice City Stories. GTA III was better than San Andreas. But for soundtrack quality - Vice City is the gold standard. Beautiful job. I thought GTA III had the best story. Vice City was also great.

The San Andreas soundtrack was ALOT more diverse. From country, classic rock, grunge, RnB, Gangsta Rap, Old School rap, Funk, Reggae, Soul, Metal and House.

People know VC's soundtrack better because it was an 80's soundtrack. SA's spanned 5 decades giving you music from the 70s 60s 50s and 90s. Both were great, and yes...rap played a part in BOTH soundtracks so lets not go there.
