this album was one of the first that I bought for myself and have listened and sung my way through many times. The part were the specialist says I know you cant see me /but I think you can see your self./how does the mirror affect you " was something that attracted my attention but didn't fully understand till I broke the mirror . Thank you Mr Townsend it was a big clue and now I'm free and freedom tastes of reallityy
i love that u put the vids up. but sadly i was listening to this instead of studying 4 a test. i failed. but thats what happens when i start listening to the greatest band in the world
JasonBonitati,You rock man! TY for this. Its awesome! Plays better than the LP I had.Yea Im old but I bought this when it first came out,TY again Jason.
Yeah, I actually have the original record on vinyl. Bought it awhile ago and the condition it's in is near perfect. I'd like to buy a turntable once and play that record on it!
LMAO. I was just waiting for someone to acknowledge that publicly! Hey, I only used them so that maybe I would get a few extra views or so. I also at the time, couldn't think of anything else to put lol.
I haven't listened to Amazing Journey/Sparks in years. When I heard Keith's punchy drumming punctuating each line and John's bass guitar chords and wonderfully melodic bass lines, all I can say is what a loss! RIP Keith Moon and John Entwistle! No cover band can match the intensity of Roger Daltrey's vocals. Pete Townshend is a genius. This album blew me away when I bought it in 1969. It still stands as a testament to The Who's artistry.
@bartonone2005 They were all meant for the whole and each other. You definately could never go without Townshend, sure you will have maybe a few or a little more descent hits but u just won't be the Who itself, you will lose a big part, the mind of the who.
@bartonone2005 Then you have Keith Moon, the heart of the Who. Look what happened when he died, and his drumming kept the band totally alive and too good during live performances. We don't see this much, besides Moony fans, that Moon was driving the energetic kinda unexplainable feelings i think. That is why the Who were so great feeling to listen to. Such fluent drumming and so emotionally brilliant. So many other stuff I could say but I'm running out of characters. R.I.P. Keith Moon
@bartonone2005 Then you have Roger, no person can match up with him. He had a feeling in his vocals that made you feel a different way than usual singers i think. And this feeling fitted in perfectly with the Who. He made the Who speak so people would understand. When he sang, it just took over most of everything and made the song even a lot more better compared to the guitar. It is always great to hear him sing, i think that is paartly why we go and look up the Who. And his screams were -
This is great.
