@sarah03ful actually it is not, though many are very small, some churches have registered with as little as 30 or so members, there are about 200 well known denominations and with in each of those there are several splinter groups of each of those. @Kennelmouth I will admit it is conjecture based on a few people I have known and the occasional news stories about repeat offenders who claimed to have been reformed Christians only to repeat the same types of offenses and end up back in jail. Also because I believe that to understand science and use logic and reason you must be well educated, not saying Christians are uneducated but many people who end up in prison are not well educated and easy targets for evangelical types.

Something else to look into is the scientific studies of the moon. It moves away from the earth at a constant rate. If you take the age of the earth according to science and march the moon backward. At some point in history the moon was raking all life off the planet. If you look at the biblical account, life was created with age. From Adam and Eve, to the trees, to the earth itself.

@sarah03ful actually it is not, though many are very small, some churches have registered with as little as 30 or so members, there are about 200 well known denominations and with in each of those there are several splinter groups of each of those. I will google my facts and get back to you about a closer number but it is very high. even so if there were a god there would be only on religion because someone that arrogant would not want other gods being worshiped.

@Kennelmouth I will admit it is conjecture based on a few people I have known and the occasional news stories about repeat offenders who claimed to have been reformed Christians only to repeat the same types of offenses and end up back in jail. Also because I believe that to understand science and use logic and reason you must be well educated, not saying Christians are uneducated but many people who end up in prison are not well educated and easy targets for evangelical types.

Something else to look into is the scientific studies of the moon. It moves away from the earth at a constant rate. If you take the age of the earth according to science and march the moon backward. At some point in history the moon was raking all life off the planet. If you look at the biblical account, life was created with age. From Adam and Eve, to the trees, to the earth itself.

First off, In the bible it is stated that there are mountains under the ocean, that planets are round, etc and man did not know this at that time in history. Second, think about the disciples. Many of their deaths are recorded elsewhere. What did they see that would inspire them to lay down their lives in the ways they did?
