  • This is amazing! I'm supposed to sing this at a wedding in about a month or so... is there anywhere I can buy this recording as a track? I'd love to sing along to it! Maybe without the melody throughout? Let me know if that is possible, or what we can do to work it out. Thank you so much! I LOVE IT!

such a beautiful song. did Edith Piaf sing as well as write it? some say it's an old

    French-Algerian gypsy tune of old.

  • can any one give me a taB of tHis Wonderful arrangement

  • Really just great. Technically great, and musically too. Question about the Xciter- and I know it is the player (you). Are those RMC's in your Sand? That is the Acoustic Exciter, not the bass right? I am about to buy (an Exciter, not a Sand, I wish). Thanks, and again, your playing is top drawer

  • Yes, my guitar has RMC pickups, and I'm using the Acoustic Xciter... not the Bass model. Thanks for the nice comments!

    - Bill

  • this is awesome....thank you for sharing!

    - Bill

  • Great playing on this one Bill!! I'm gonna use this one to learn the tune....and uh-hem, I'm waiting on AT (still)-ha

    Larry

  • Thanks Larry! Sorry, but A.T. has taken a back seat to a couple J.R.H. tunes. Once I get them down, I'll get back to A.T.

    All the best my friend!

    - #2

  • Wow! That was beautiful... great playing.

Have you tried to plug your guitar in an electric amp?

My father has a gibson Chet Atkins CE nylon (unfortunately not a Kirk Sand) and we tried it through several amps (acoustic: marshall, roland, aer, fender; and electric: marshall, orange and fender). The best result (and the closest to Chet's tone) we got was plugged into a fender deluxe reverb . It gave more depth, sustain, definition and dynamics to the sound while remaining a nylon type of sound.

  • Thanks for the very nice comment! A Deluxe Reverb would be great... just need more $. :-)

  • great cover' really well played

can you share the tabs or notation?

  • Thank you! Get Mel Bay's Chet Atkins in Three Dimensions, Volume 1.
