This is amazing! I'm supposed to sing this at a wedding in about a month or so... is there anywhere I can buy this recording as a track? I'd love to sing along to it! Maybe without the melody throughout? Let me know if that is possible, or what we can do to work it out. Thank you so much! I LOVE IT!
I learnt your version of Mr Sandman and will be looking at this one too.I have wanted to learn this song for some time. Thank you for putting these on the net.
u sir made some art over there ! thank you for sharing this tune with us ,honetly! where can i get the score because i really want to play this awesome piece
@thelastwish ...you should transcribe it instead. it will make you a better guitar player. i'm transcribing it right now. i might post a response to this video after i'm done..... its a very time consuming process, but it can be done. use your ears, you'll be amazed at what you hear.
wow, what a beautiful laid back performance. I'll definitely have to track down the Mel Bay book you mentioned. Excellent work and a beautiful guitar.
@lunediu3 transcribe it. you'll be a better musician afterwards. i'm doing this now. if you really want to learn the song, you'll transcribe. its the best way for growth an instrument.
Really just great. Technically great, and musically too. Question about the Xciter- and I know it is the player (you). Are those RMC's in your Sand? That is the Acoustic Exciter, not the bass right? I am about to buy (an Exciter, not a Sand, I wish). Thanks, and again, your playing is top drawer
Have you tried to plug your guitar in an electric amp?
My father has a gibson Chet Atkins CE nylon (unfortunately not a Kirk Sand) and we tried it through several amps (acoustic: marshall, roland, aer, fender; and electric: marshall, orange and fender). The best result (and the closest to Chet's tone) we got was plugged into a fender deluxe reverb . It gave more depth, sustain, definition and dynamics to the sound while remaining a nylon type of sound.
great song ...enjoy your playing

Real nice - heard Pat Donohue play a mildly souped-up version of this last summer.
such a beautiful song. did Edith Piaf sing as well as write it? some say it's an old
French-Algerian gypsy tune of old.
