  • the actors were from singapore, melaka, and kl

  • im from singapore, during this film, Singapore and Malaysia was together... it was called malaya, and this was made in singapore.. im a malay..

  • i thought it was done in singapore when singapore was still PART of malaysia and therefore is malaysian? correct me if im wrong.

  • yup, it is..

    =]

  • lagu ini tak akan di telan zaman!

  • 1. I shall assume tht u are a malaysian. So, I wld love to say tht u are one STUPID MALAY-MALAYSIAN!

    2. there is no issue of it being Singapore's or Malaysia's song because it is neither. It's late P.Ramlee's song. So, if anybody shld be complaining, it shld be him.

I am defending not because I have nothing to do but I believe his contribution to the film industry is to be appreciated by one and all. Not to be fought over.

Let's just admire and appreciate his work in peace.

    Peace Out. \m/

  • you idiot. of coz it was p ramlee song, but why the heck did singapore took it for their tourism ad? youre breaching copyright because somebody else is losing the profit.

  • Out of polite interest, my good person, what is this tourism ad you are talking about? Could you kindly detail it out to me, along with the whole Singapore taking it issue, and provide me with the video or whatever source of evidence if possible? I wish to learn more about this.

  • menceceh

  • Thank you for the link. Alright. I did a little look-up. Seniman Bujang Lapok, was indeed filmed in Singapore, thus its songs too was produced in Singapore. Nowhere did I find that the song belongs to Malaysia, most unfortunately. However, I am most certain that the Singapore tourism ad has gone through the rightful procedures to remix the original song and re-use it, considering Singapore's very strict hold on copyright issues, which I'm certain you'd reasonably agree to?

  • In continuation-

Now that you have understood, let us stop this controversy here shall we? I know that our hot-tempered friend here might have provoked you with her comment, but you, my friend, I truly hope you would reasonably see this too, you had started this with your comment first, fully knowing that this will cause a stir? Let's end it here shall we, my good person? The world doesn't need any more conflicts than it has, surely? Thank you very much for understanding.

  • ok. i hope singapore will obtain great profit from the song. i hope singapore will continue to become a rich and developed country by using this song in their tourism ad. thanks.

  • if you say so, friend. *shrugs* I highly doubt the ad will make any difference at all though.

  • Thanks alot glitterfa for all the trouble to make our dear friend there understand~
