This beat was acceptable back in the day. Nowadays, beats like this are considered "played out" and "not with the times". Dre has fallen off considerably these days and has gotten quite lazy. If Detox is meant to be a concept album, his beats need to be a lot more intelligent. Old Skool is fine but incorporate a newer new skool without the 808's and we may have something.

Yeah, they are but it ain't like that's selling the most right now. Eminem's album doesn't have anything southern on it and that album's been No. 1 for like four weeks now. Dre needs to incorporate what made Hip Hop great but evolve it to where it's still respectful, and not a joke.
