  • I am old, a loved one now has dementia. This is hysterically funny! Made my year! :))))

  • Man, it's been years since I've listened to Tom Rush...................if he's the guy I'm thinking of.......hmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Not so funny if someone you love has dementia!

  • @wjgiunta I guess you're another member of the PC Brigade. It's a fun song, look and listen to it in that respect!

  • TO: JIM PROVENSAL--you are just so mean baby!!!

  • How true ... this SO applies to MANY of us... 'cept me of course... uh now what was i sayin' ... hahaha!

  • Are we just slaves to our technological "advances" ?

  • Gotta love Tom Rush.

  • Everything I have heard has been just great.

  • I heard that before.. I think..

  • Love this. I've seen it before, but I still like it.

  • @oldogsec, You have a right to your opinion, but if it hasn't happened already; there may be a time when someone feels the same about you.

  • Great song full of problems life "all well"

  • @xaxas01 it finishes with "oh well", not "all well. If you don't believe me, listen to other versions of it... and the whole of the song and the second last line don't lend to a conclusion of "all well"...

  • @HectorsHouse why do you care... seriously its a funny song where he can add little bits where he wants

  • forot what i was going to say :/

  • Great job Steven, and great performance, Tom, as always. I play this song for audiences just after I've depressed them with one of my own entitled "I'm not Me Anymore".

    JL

  • Fun song. Great ending.

  • @DuhQuanNigstix Then why are you here?

  • @oldogsec Somebody posted the link, so I clicked on it.

  • @DuhQuanNigstix Stick your neck out there far enough and you'll soon suffer from catagelophobia

  • @oldogsec Not a problem in my case. I tell it like it is and don't give shit what people think about it. I hate hippies and the useless Baby Boomer generation.

  • @DuhQuanNigstix My guess is they don't care much about you either. Probably for good reason.

  • I wanted to comment on this but I can't remember my Youtube password.

  • Scary seeing someone else living my life!!!! Oh well, meeting new people every day won't be so bad, right? Tom, right? Thanks

  • Can't remember why I'm watching this.

  • Love it. I can relate to it as I have a memory like a...er,..thingy,,,a whatsit.....

  • A MASTERPIECE!

They say your memory is the second thing to go. I can't remember what the first thing was!

  • this guy has old timers XDD

  • Tom Rush is funny. Interesting name where he performed. Humphry the Whale. I think it ended up coming back and being beached.

  • It's such a funny and realistic song. I really appreciate. I feel concerned GREAT

  • Tom:

I'm a gen-x guy who has been limping through the most painful time of my entire life. A song of yours I had not heard in thirty years -- from my parents' old tape deck -- popped into my head and has been a sort of totem for me through this period. "No Regrets". It's helped me articulate my pain and grief, create an emotional 'spike' to sort of cry around. I'd like to thank you. I guess one never knows what the unseen fruit of one's artistic labors yields. Has meant a lot to me.

  • I forgot what i was going to write... :(

  • Great song great performance but let's give credit where it's due. The song was written by the famed zen cowboy Chuck Pyle who also does a great version of it and writes a lot of great songs.

  • @MaabudZ OK that was 8 months ago. I just found out today I was wrong. I first heard the song from Chuck many years ago but it was actually written by Steve Walters. Too bad politicians can't publicly admit their mistakes, no matter what party they're from

  • Hilarious!!!!! A true artist knows how to be funny, too. Great Tom!

  • Someone needs to grow a sense of humor...

  • This is not funny at all. Yes old-school, but lets face it, back in the day people thought feeding people to lions was funny.

  • Someone needs to grow a sense of humor...Thanks Tom for helping my class out around the same time.

  • In 1969 we put on a Tom Rush concert for a class fund raiser at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School in Sudbury MA. He was terrific. And cute as could be! Yes. I had a crush on Tom Rush. Now, about 6 weeks away from our 40th reunion, I see he is as forgetful the rest of us. He still looks good though. And btw, we made money on the concert! Thanks Tom. Great to see you again.

  • Just posted a link to this song on a website as I bemoaned the fact that I've mislaid my house keys somewhere... without even leaving the house. Wonderful, wonderful song that everyone over 50 (and a few under!) can identify very well with.

  • 1000 thumbs up! Us ole folks need more songs like this to keep our spirits floating upwards...I laughed and laughed and laughed 'til I cried....so true...but I loved it anyway.....

  • I love this song. It is so funny and so true. Nadine

  • Tom Rush's speechat the philly folk fest made go look this up... and the 10 second clip of a burping elephant.

  • This is just waaaaay too funny for this 54 year old with teens and a full time job.

  • see ya at folk festtttt

  • The audience reaction says it all, ... they're lovin' it! Thanks, Tom, for a great

    reminder.

  • lol

  • I was a big fan of Tom in the 1960s -he was not well-known over here, a very under-rated talent, looking pretty good for his age -great funny song that we can all identify with -well done Tom !

  • hilarious and soooo true for me, all day, everyday!
