  • What a wonderful device to help the dog . . . great work. Beautiful dogs.

  • woot 0 dislikes and props to u man keep doin wat ur doin we need mroe ppl like u in this world ! :)

  • This warms my heart.

  • I don't think i could possibly see my German shepherd in a wheel chair. My last Shepherd got hip displasia. We all ready treated her cancer and there was nothing more we could do. She could no longer move her right hind leg and it soon got very bad. Once she started to chew on the non moving leg we knew it was time. One of the saddest days of my life.

  • You just made a grown man weep. So beautiful. Hope you keep on doing what you're doing.

  • @japekkal Thanks for watching and for the nice compliment too.

  • @TotalGermanShepherd Thats just awesome. What a lucky and good lucking GSD :D

  • Love it! She has no idea she's disabled.

  • priceless......

  • when i went paintballing there was a german shepherd in 1 of these wheelchair sort of things and he was walking around slowly and he looked so sad :( something tells me he was abused also because i went to give hit a stroke and he flinched like I was gonna hit him... later I found out that the owner of the venue found him dumped on the side of a road left to die. German Shepherds are my fav dog in the world and I had to stop myself from crying to see him wagging his tail at the end of the day

  • What a blessing for her to have you, she looks so happy. I'd do the same for my 6 Y/o GSD "Precious", she loves me more than my son does!!!!!

  • Your the best kind of people . I would do anything for my GSD Blitz

  • Bless you for caring enough to help the dog. So many wouldn't.

  • The wagging tail says it all!

  • (excuse my ignorance), but at night do you 'take off' the wheel chair so she can lie down? If not, how does she sleep (I'm just interested :)

She's a beautiful dog, by the way!

  • @xiomilolo We only put her in her chair when we went outside for walks, playing around, etc. - otherwise she had a nice bed inside that she stayed on when we were in the house

  • This is such a wonderful story. : )

  • That brings smile to my face becuase we had a GSD that had to be put down in February as the result as CDM. (Canine Degenerative Myelopathy) A wheelchair could have extendended his life, making him able to move.

I'm happy that that dog had a chance.

  • some 1 please help me im looking for a cheap wheelchair for my white german shepard and he is a big dog and im looking for a cheap 1 under $300 plzz help me i dont wanna have 2 put him down

  • @yallsaythat

did you ever find a good wheelchair for your dog. We also have a white GSD with DM and I really want to find the right wheelchair for him.

  • @ledzepfan111 I bought Ally's at doggon.com - they were great to work with and really helpful

  • shes got 3 legs omg its so sad D: what happened to that poor dog

  • .u chould change the wheel a little bit because i think its so big

  • Regardless of her disability, you've made her very very happy... I wish you and your dogs the best and God Bless all of you. :D

  • Just saw this vid and I wanted to thank you for giving this dog back her life. :)

  • @temujin0911 Thanks for watching. Actually I couldn't have dome anything less - she meant so much to me and her injury only messed up her ability to walk - not her ability to live.

  • Yay, cheers for hte great shepherd, who enjoys life depite a physical challenge, which for him is no challenge at all!

  • poor dog...shes not part of the pack anymore

  • poor dog. Do you guys run a rescue?

  • that is the chubbiest wheel chair bound GSD i've ever seen!!! and I've seen a few! Cool though that they all play nicely together. very cute. yay for not giving up on that one!

  • penfolk kill yourself

    world would benefit

  • just wondering poor dog but is the dog connected to the wheels 24é7 or at home u take it off. and wen it is off wat does she do

  • A great example of DON'T GIVE UP ON THEM!! Good for you!

  • Our Bo's getting bad hips nowadays its a shame, we have to help her into the back of the car. She had a good hip score too but it's a common injury with shepards. The strongest dogs lead the pack but no one gets left behind.

  • was this a birth defect or some accident..he seems fine though

  • She lost the use of her leg due to a herniated disk.

  • omg.hes adorable.

    he looks so happy.

    thats a good sign

    i luv shepherds.their so beautiful

  • He looks happy enough, if you have the space why not? Dogs are very resilient.

  • checad choskele man sagaro megam

  • un pastor alemán es una maravilla de animal.

el perro no tiene complejos, es feliz en su Ferrari.

    gracias por darnos el ejemplo.

  • How sweet your dog is. He looks so happy and having fun. I hope you have lots more fun days with him left. I know you cherish being able to give him as many fun days as you can while he still can at least walk in the wheelchair, it's very noble of you and I'm sure the least you can do for all the things he has done for you.

  • The dog seems plenty happy.

  • I hope somebody gets to put redlion down when he gets old or has a disability !!what an idiot !!! hope your in PERFECT health buddy !!

  • Thank you for the wonderful video. Not everyone would go out of their way to get their dog a wheelchair or take a dog that needed a wheel chair. That is just so awesome. I have 4 GSD's and I love them all. Thanks again.

  • SHUT UP.

  • Soz the vid is excellent that was ment to be for the comment from REDLIONoftheSUN

  • You're quite the ignorant person. These people have given this dog a chance, where as an ignorant uneducated person such as yourself, whom is high up on your showing abilities would have turned a blind eye at this dog. The dog is happy to be out, playing with the other dogs, there is no sigh of pain, and the dog is enjoying his mobility. You need to mind your own business and keep your uneducated comments to yourself.

  • That is ment for REDLIONoftheSUN

  • Your a fool jookieloom. Unfortunately you were supposed to be put down at birth. The world is a mess because of people like you. No compassion.

  • Its no diffrent from the other GSD's so some people dont be horrible

  • your dogs are beautiful! so glad the chair works for your pup.

and as I sit here and watch this video, my GSD is walking under and around our computer setup, trying to find the barking dogs she wants to play with...

  • omg, what had happened to it? is it due to bad breeding?

  • german shepherds can have bad hips. It's a problem this breed can have. You can kind of check for it when buying a puppy, but there are no guarantees. I LOVE THAT YOU GUYS GOT THE WHEELCHAIR FOR HIM--YOU HAVE A HEART OF GOLD. :)

  • WoW!... Is that dog on chair still alive?

  • I loved watching this video....i have 2 GSD's....thank god for someone thinking of the wheel chair!!! Thanks for making me smile!! :)

  • How old is your dog? Mine was 11 and her back legs went but she died on the same night a few months ago. But this wheelchair is a good idea for when the back legs get weak on the older german shepherds.

  • it is a good idea, id do it, my gsd is almost 14, and u know, he has the arthritis and everything but his front legs are weak too.

  • OMG, This Is so amazing. As I sit here and watch your beautiful dogs, I am crying for the one I lost jan. 22nd 2006.He was 4 yrs old. We think someone poisoned him. He was like yours. So happy all the time, full of life. He was my life. It still hurts very much. I'm so greatful you people like you. Your baby in the wheelchair is so happy and beautiful. I luv them all. 10+ stars for you.

  • it's heart warming watching him play

  • i ♥ ur german sheprd

    hes really amazing YAY!!

im happy that hes happy :)

  • god I feel so sorry for the one in the wheelchair, at least he/she seems happy.

Out of curi, if that was filmed now with the latest wheelchair, I take it, it would be a lot better for the GS

  • Waow what a gorgeous bunch. the poochie in the wheel chair just looked so happy running around with that tail going crazy!!

I would do anything for my GSD and i love to see owners who care so much about their dogs to give them a second chance for a happy life.

Good on ya! wish there were more like ya!

  • I agree with Jeremy Marines. I admire what you have done for your dog and I'm sure I would do the same. To give any dog back it's independence is truly wonderful! I am also a TRUE GSD person. There is and will never be any other dog for me and I adore the males. By the way love your pack!

  • You are so amazing and have an amazing heart to have done that for your dog. Every dog deserves to be loved no matter what, and they also deserve a chance to live.

  • Giving a dog with a disability or a handicap a bit of their independence back has to be one of the best things ever. I always felt when Ally was in her chair that she had a chance to be a "Real Dog" again and to do all her regular doggy business.

  • Our GSD was 6 when he developed spinal mylopathy? He came back to life so to speak after we purchased a wheel chair. It gave him his independence back and allowed him to play like he once did. Your video brought back some sad memories but it was still nice to see. Nothing better then a happy Shep :-)

  • my GSD is 13 now and her hip are just starting to give her jip but she managing fine...she is showline quality and has 5 champions in her pedigree ....thts why she doing so well i think!!! u must have been very pround of her x

  • thats so...sad..=[for that GSD...but they always get hip problems it's cause their so big....but pretty...dogs...

  • She didn't have a hip problem but she did suffer a major herniated disk back injury that resulted in the loss of use in one of her back legs (which we eventually had to have removed).

You'd never know she was injured once she got in her chair, however. She could play and keep up with the other dogs just fine and could outrun me, no problem when she was in her chair.

  • Great video! Very uplifting. I'd love to know the age of the dog in the wheelchair!

  • She was about 6 or so in this video - she lived to be around 8.5
