In Spider-Man 2, he is the narrotator/announcer. He gives you tips on where to go, how to zoom in/out and other stuff. He is cool. With his information, in the first part of the game his talking helped me.

He did change the name to Spider-Man in the movie, and he did stop Peter/Spidey from seeing MJ's play.

And he did help/"teamup" with Peter on the wedding engagment thing.
