I COMPLETELY agree with you. The controls are better, and if you care about the graphics; PC is the right platform for you.

Now going over to the specs... You did say your gfx card is "modern"... I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume that the card you're getting is a model made from this year. If that's the case, you are perfectly fine. As for the quadcore and ram, you're good to go.
