  • Suscribing, I have a quick question? what was the first snake you showed (green)

  • @IamtheJack007 Waglers Viper (Tropidolaemis wagleri)

  • how can you tell if a snake is male or female? I've seen a few where you call them 'he', and others you call 'she'. I can't tell the difference, so it would be really neat to know.

  • @YuckyAppleTree There is a video I did on this topic.

  • @YuckyAppleTree Oh you did? Which one? I'll go look through them :) Thank you!

  • @YuckyAppleTree Don't remember....

  • nice videos man! respect i have only a ball python^^ ;)

  • That fast snake was about to change her skin? The one u are holding with gloves

  • Don't mess withs snakes and they will leave you alone.

  • eastern brown snakes are the most defensive when it come to australian elapids biting multiple times

  • Hi Al, got ur message on the krait, replyed but didnt get one back on that. Let me know what u think pls. thanks on that. Have u seen the midwest gloves tested by Bryan Grieg Fry, ses they work, mind u i have been meaning to hear it from his own mouth, but keep forgeting to ask him. If u havnt read the testomony, i will dig out a link.

  • @1Rattchet Yeah...I got it...really busy right now but I'll get back to you soon.

  • that was funny with the taipan!

  • how does a snake become immune to its own venom?

  • @apdorkfish: Way to complex of an issue to discuss here...briefly: Scientists think the venom in the glands are stored in an "inactive" state and is activated when it exits the gland or when it hit the tissue. They don't know, however, immunity is a different issue, since it's part of them...sort of the mechanism why females can selectively not mount an immune attack on their unborn fetus.

  • @viperkeeper I'm not 100% positive about this fact but i have also heard that snake venom has no effect when it is consumed; it is safe to swallow since it is not a poison.

  • @apdorkfish : Mostly correct assuming you don't have gum problems or stomach ulcers. Elapid venom is less safe to swallow than Viperid venom.

  • have you ever handled the eastern brown snake or is that a bad idea

  • @camau79 Yes...it's quite an experience....LMAO

  • @camau79 in my opinion is allways a bad idea to handle brown snakes without much of expierince and protection gear. i know they very very agressiv, more then most other typ of snakes.

if i had the choise i would be on distance to they.

  • ei do you have a gaboon viper?

  • @bunanad Yes....

  • Your soo lucky to have all these cool snakes they always intrested me even tho im scaref to get like squeezed to death by an anaconda lol even tho that wont happen but anywayy thx fer the vids snakes are really intresting to learn about (: thx again

  • Is the Australian Brown snake the snake whose Venom turns your blood thick like treacle?

  • Make it thin & watery

  • vk - you could probably mix up a nasty cocktail with just the venom on your camera after all these videos

  • bel video

chissa come si chiama il primo serpente

  • Great video :) Love the snake at the end that kept randomly biting everything lol

  • Bite first, ask questions later

  • How do you get experience in handling venomous snakes?

  • Find yourself a "mentor" to teach you.

  • Know of any in WA state?

  • You need a permit to start in WA, which is very tough to get.

  • Nah tis OK. It's not rude. Thanks for the input!

  • @viperkeeper dnt be so rude

  • That's not rude, that's just the fact how to get experience.

  • can u sell me a viper XD in singapore cannot buy

  • No...

  • @viperkeeper c´mon..give him a break will you

  • No...

  • Taipan venom is said to be the most horrific envenomation out of any snake....I've heard you bleed just about everywhere

  • Well there is some speculation as to if it is actually the worlds most venomous snake It IS the worlds most Venomous land snake. But the Hydrophis Belcheri. is much more venomous. But its a sea snake. The inland Taipans snake wouldnt make you bleed every where because its a Neurotoxic venom it attacks the Nervous system. Gaboon viper russels viper would make you bleed just about everywhere.

  • Not exactly correct... Taipans not only have Pre & Post Synaptic neurtoxins, they have powerful Hemotoxins also. These create consumptive coagulopathies by using up/destroying the clotting factors in your blood. The Taipans as well as many Australian snakes use the "tripple whammy"

  • this viper is pretty scary ;D

  • Are other species of snake immune to their own venom?

By the way, my favourite on this video was the Russells viper - so beautiful yet so lethal!!!!

  • i dont know why but i am afraid of snakes but i am always ready to learn about the different kinds

  • deng man

that russelsviper is like way longer then Darth Vader,

question, is Vader that short or average or are those russels that big??

    im just curious

  • Gaboons are far bigger. You're experiencing an "optical dilusion"

  • k

i was just curious bc it looks like the russel was way bigger.

    Thanks man

  • Just curious, why do you say Canadians beware of Waglers drinking water?

  • An inside joke

  • suicidal snake lol

  • wow im amaze!!

  • hrm we get alot of eastern browns here. the western browns are beautiful we have a baby at work and she is beautiful.

  • im a tru aussie and it was either one of these snakes or a taipen i was on my horse riding and i was thrown off cos he shyed at the snake but i swear to god this snake was at least 4 metres long it was huge and it was thick as anything aswell.. i guess it is well looked after living on a 1000 acre farm lol.. but we all think that it is the snake that killed one of the horses... can the eastern brown have enough venom to kill a large horse????

  • Yes, they do

  • shit lol its amazing how much vemon these snakes have it looks like they wont have much but i guess we are all mistaken.. i have bout 5 big green tree frogs that live on the farm and all of them will more than likely die cos of the green pythons mmmm is there anyway i can put something up or do something to stop them from trying to eat my frogs..

  • that jet lagged snake is BEAUTIFUL!

  • Viperkeeper you rule and so do your videos! These are the type of vids for snake lovers and those curious about these fascinating creatures. So ignore the vids that the morons who know nothing about snakes create, the irresponsible morons that film their snakes eating live prey for the entertainment of other equally moronic minds. These are the real vids by snake gurus that know about and how to handle these great creatures. Keep up the good work Viperkeeper!!

  • he dont like a water

  • maybe if u got a chain linked suit you can handle all your snakes lol

  • The fangs would probally slide between the links in the chain...

  • so the gloves you have are the best things out?

  • No,they are only used for certain applications.

  • I love the Brown snakes! The Australian Elapids have always held a special place in my heart. Do you currently or have you ever kept or dealt with tiapans? Now as I just type this, I realize that you're now showing the video of your tiapan. What's there temperament like? I've always loved tiapans. Never owned one, and I never plan to. They scare the living stuff out of me. Great educational video, just like all your others!

  • They are indeed twitchy snakes...they do not like any fast movments at all.

  • i just caught a temple viper on my garden and i kept it. My dad threw it away. what a waste :(

  • do u/ur friends w venemous snakes, keep any anti venom at all at your house? at least a venom kit should be in the room, my opinion

  • Some do, some don't. I have serum at my house.

  • have you ever been bit by a snake before without the gloves on?

  • See my video "FAQ"

  • lol why do you keep venomouse snakew pythons are good i have one myself what if you get bitten i am not saying this in a bad way

  • by aggressive is that like they wont take any crap or like theyll attack some1 even if they arent making any movement or what?

  • If you disturb them you are at risk. They feel the best defense is a strong offence.

  • would u ever get a fierce snake in there?

  • It's not that I would not like one, just they are so rare, Australia doesn't allow any to be exported either.

  • Eastern Brown: get them alot round my house. They strike fast and often... as i've found out... luckily i'm faster and can climb trees better....

  • what kind of snake is this one with the green color and little red tail?

  • Waglers Pit Viper (Tropidolaemus wagleri)

  • some sciencetist believe that sea snakes have a stronger venom than land snakes

  • that was a awesome looking taipan, do you also keep inland taipans as well?

love ur vids keep em coming

  • No, since Australia does not (at present)allow the expost of their fauna except to Zoo's.

  • do you know what the most dangerous viper is its not that toxic its just cos its agressive and encounters people a lot?

  • Russells & Sawscale vipers cause the most snakebite deaths in the world on an annual basis. They are very common, very grumby and very toxic.

  • Hey brother!, trust me! i thought i try that site, to see if i can really get some action and it works! its free join today > FLING-CHAT dot COM

  • you guys are brave.

  • that's odd, the eastern brown doesen't even look like it would be venomous seeing how narrow it's head is

  • You better believe we are scared f them.

  • you and your lovelys are getting pretty famous mate

  • Hi Mate:

Thanks for visiting :-) Nah... If you look at the other videos on YouTube...I'm not famous at all.

    Cheers!

    Al

  • i dont suppose u know anything about the La Bahia boa

  • Sorry, I don't keep Boids. Try Kingsnake dot com

  • That Russell's looked like a burm or Indian python to me when it was first coming up. Awesome snakes you have

  • Do you go by Phobos on discussion forums?

  • Yes

  • Another awesome video!

  • Do you consider some of the elapids more dangerous than the vipers? Venom delivery vs. speed?

  • Elapids have speed & agility but a relativly slow strike. Vipers can be quick and agile but they have the fastest strikes by far.

  • Most interesting Video's on the iternet

  • Hope the Taipan is ok - and she didn't inven. herself. Let us know how she's doing. Thanks for the vid - great as always!

  • I think she's alive, I havn't checked her out today.
