I had nothing but the fondest memories of Max Rene Cossotti. I heard him in Rondine at La Fenice. He was magnificent in the second tenor role. That was before I heard this piece of dreck. Ugh!
There are many different versions of this little duet posted on YouTube. Currently this is the worst but have faith, since anybody can sing this piece, there will be an even more dreadful version I'm sure by someone sooner or later.
I just heard before the version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky. What a difference! Hvorostovsky is the best anyway. But this man -- my gosh! My small grandson can sing better in tune. Plus, the voice is so vulgar. Eunegin.
in a way giovanni is supposed to be a bit vulgar - he is the letch of the show. but this was a horrible performance. The soprano wasn't too bad - if you don't have to watch her.
two days a go I listen two cats having sex and I have to say they were more in tune than this guy.......Jesus Christ!!!!!!!

the famous max cosotti needs to learn to stay on pitch, this sucks..the female is good though.
