  • why ruin a perfect song giving it a techno remix? it's like killing the heart of the song

  • @cosminsparks Well, think about it like this.

The original's sad tone is like the singer realizing how much harm she's causing herself.

The remix could be celebrating the fact that she's gotten over cutting.

Of course, I just love techno (this is actually trance BTW), so I'm a little biased anyway.

  • @cosminsparks **trance remix, not techno.

  • Perfect techno mix for this song :) fuckin awesome

  • The song is really good.

  • love this song. ill never stop loving it lolz. i like the techno version even better than the other.

  • thenoblequran(Ctrl+Enter)

  • Это реально круто!

  • i LOVE LOVE LOVE this song!!!! best mix everrrr!!!! way too many memories to this mix to not love it!!!!

  • This remix is SENSATIONAL

  • killed it!

  • супер!

  • <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • where can i find the music video without the remix?

  • @Dman761 i'll find it befor you do!

  • das ist der totale Hammer , supergeile Stimme

  • Nice

  • @mily44444 Yeah I know >.> No techno!

  • This is soooo good!

  • Did you know her music genre is Christian? I was surprised when I heard that because the only songs I knew by her at the time didn't sound Christian at all.

You should check out Damaged and Send Angels by Plumb, those are like this song as well.

  • for the fucken time this is a fuken remix the other one is not bitches

  • I love this song................

  • i prefer this version instead of the other one, but the other one is better for relaxation, and this one is better for regular listening.

  • i luv this song!!!! (*_//)

  • you can send to me this song remix edit?

  • izamore1985 ur wrong no this is a remixu idiot noit is not supose to be fast put that in ur juice box and suck it

  • @bbkatbb lol =)

  • Dude, you're an idiot! This IS the original song. The slow one, which is the one you're probably talking about is the Candle Light REMIX! Soooo, this is NOT a remix, the other one is. Get your info straight.

  • Oops, let me correct my self ... it is a remix, but the original is not the slow version. That's a remix, which was actually my point. The original has a dance beat as well.

  • The cutting is metaphoric. Kul song tho.

  • I think it's super weird that they made this into like, a dance song.

  • Relief exists I found it when I am cut ....

  • not ok, and not cool.

  • I think it's brave she sung this song about selfharm with such beauty and so much truth......it's almost like she's been there herself.......

  • @moppermop Well, she hasn't. In fact, I think some of her fans were angry that she sang thins song without actually being a cutter herself. I think that's a little stupid, because it's a beautiful song but, whatever.

  • @ DizzyDior12, Indeed it's a beautiful song and I agree that it's a little stupid some of her fans were angry....I think she has quite a gift singing about something she has never been trrough herself and singing it like she was!

  • Yes, very pretty song musically. After I actually read the lyrics it reminded me of cutting since I have a friend whose daughter has done that. BUT, The Vampire Diaries series used it for a love scene and you can really turn those lyrics around to fit what one of the characters goes through as a vampire ... someone who is living forever and has so much pain and sadness from what he is. I guess you would have to see the series.

  • this is a greaat song..too bad the lyrics r so depressingg! but i thnk the artist is very strong to have written about something as privaate as cutitng urself wow

  • I do not think that this song romaticizes self-harm, if for any reason someone thinks that self mutilation is productive or helpful, then they aren't very smart and have much to learn.. I find this song very refreshing, every one likes to make fun of cutters, it's a running gag with youth these days and it makes me sick as one of those youths.. it's nice to hear that someone is brave enough to talk about it..

  • Yes, but no one knows if she herself was a cutter- The song may have just been about how she went through a period in her life were she was alone & hurt because of it & her breakthrough from it all.

  • I have to agree. the original was much better. now it sounds techno. Still a good song but i love the original more.

  • Not techno in the least..

    Vocal Trance, Yes.

  • I like this song.... But the original version is better than the remix in my opinion!!!!

  • i like this

  • this version of the song makes it lose some of it's meaning.

  • Beautiful video.

However, I am afraid it romanticizes self harm. Cutting your flesh is a serious addiction that will harm you the rest of your life. What will your husband say when he sees the scars? The Military also refuses you. You're labeled the reset of your life as a mental case. Mederma rarely works on deeper cuts (which by the way, itch like hell). Cutting, is not beautiful. But this song is. I hope no one listening confusing this song's beauty for a razor's beauty.

  • i love plumb this song and the meaning

  • nice song enjoy it.

  • plays on the plane :)

  • both versions of this song are good.

  • why this is so good ?? gorgieus :)

  • Avete reso questa canzone bellissima in una canzone skifosa!

  • The techno version kills the beauty of this song!! Plumb is a great band, I have been a fan since her first album but I don't care for this version of this powerful song!

  • same

  • @Kelgan Im still a fan.. Its a sad song with the irony of a energetic beat. Most cutters, which this song is about, usually have to put on a fake smile while "dying inside"

  • @hapakun That's very true. That lyric speaks the truth for us.

  • @Kelgan Im still a fan.. Its a sad song with the irony of a energetic beat. Most cutters, which this song is about, usually have to put on a fake smile while "dying inside"

  • I love the original but as a dancemusic fan I heard this first and love it alot. I like it when fantastic songs that are beatiful, classical and slow are remixed to dance style. When it's done well, it sounds like this and I LOVE it.

  • I absolutely love this song! I've listened to it like a million times since I first heard about Plumb. She's amazing :)

  • i like the remix but the original is better i sang the original version it son my page plz check it out thanx if you do :)

  • i hate the remix...

i cant stand when people take amazing songs and REMIX them. the remixes NEVER turn out well.

  • wow to bad the remix kicks the originals ass....i hate people who don't appreciate good music.

  • the original is so much better. this made it into techno crap. i hate people who don't appreciate good music, too-- guess that's why i hate you!

  • Oh my God guys. Seriously?

    People. Have. Different. Music. Tastes.

Some like faster, some like slower. There's nothing WRONG with it. Now let's grow up and discuss this like grown people, shall we? I like both equally.

  • Like grown people? Sure if you were grown. I have more college time then you have time on this planet. talk to me in twenty years.

  • My, my. Assuming my age. Tsk tsk. Very immature of you.

Talk to me when you feel like acting MY age, alright? And believe me, when you're acting significantly younger than me, it's quite pathetic, especially when you have more "college time than I do on this planet." I'm a legal adult, technically, but I have the balls to admit when I'm being immature, at least.

  • Omg can't someone upload the original version, tachno remixx and soutch shit I hate ! -.-

  • i reckon

  • I did a video of me singing to this song well the original version not the remix :) plz check it out

    thanx if you do

  • this exact version was featured on the abercrombie & fitch august 2006 playlist along with remixed versions: paris hilton-stars are blind, rhianna-murderer, gnarls barkley-crazy, nelly furtado permiscuous and daft punk! one of the best playlists in the store ever!

  • I love this song so much. This song and Damaged.

  • That was awsome and I love this song!

  • this song is good and its sad but it kick ass

  • Oh man..this is gonna sound wierd, but this song reminds me of my ex. hardcore....sad.

  • amazing remix us dance music lovers have feelings as well

  • I think the exact opposite...the original sounds like another whiney emo piano ballad like My Immortal or something. This arrangement holds one's interest better and you get the meaning and emotion behind the lyrics without feeling like you're doing something wrong if you're not crying by yourself in a corner.

  • This song was ment for cutters. I'm sorry but if you had a problem such as cutting, would you want people to dance to a song that was ment to be a sense of comfort for you? It's basically making a joke out of it.

  • See I think of it differently, honestly how many people are gonna listen to a christian song?If they hear the dance version then they most likely wanna hear the orginal, thats the way it happened with me,butI do llike the orginal better =]

  • Her songs R touching. U can hear this song on Sirius Radio. Dance music channel

  • I'm floating everytime I hear this track

  • I love this song but the video was like...Wth, why all the strong lighting, it makes her look ugly and like a zombie. Should have been natural

  • It is possible they are trying to emphasize the "I am not a stranger" aspect of the lyrics by present Tiffany Lee (Plumb) in an unfamiliar light.

Regardless of which of the more popular interpretations you subscribe to, the fact remains that people can seem different (or feel they seem that way to others) after a traumatic/dramatic experience.

Whether "cut" is taken in a literal context, or in a metaphorical one, the lighting choice could serve the narrative.

    Just one possibility among many.

  • she is so awesome, i am a mother of 5 children and my girls 6 and 10 years of age jam to her music. plumb is a blessing. you are reaching and loving the unloveable through your music.praise god!!! in christ, jeannie

  • Both versions of this song make me cry and I'm not a cutter. It's just such a powerful song...

  • The release women and some men seek buy cutting can be gained buy running or intense exercising... Ultimately what the body is looking for is an endorphin rush, thus they can feel without having to hack there body... Of course the physiological aspect is the person stable is also a factor.

  • I think that response oversimplifies the problem somewhat. While I agree that physical exercise (and endorphins) can help a person's sense of wellbeing/give a rush, the factors leading a person to "cutting" often relate back to pscyhological pain that needs to be addressed.

I've been a friend and lover to people that had previously (or did at the time) cut themselves. I've driven to emergency rooms when "things went too far" for them. It's not glorious.Therapy (in some form) can be truly vital.

  • Of course the physiological aspect is the person stable is also a factor.

  • absolutely, cutting releses seritonin to cope almost like a numbing method, people who self mudilate for relief often times do so for psychological reasons , your right

who is arguing O-0 lol they are not well informed

  • I love this song! When I hear it, I do think of Tori Amos, but I think of this being like a Tori song, just a MUCH better artist than Tori! I would like to see Plumb really hit high stardom :)She can really write some deep lyrics and great music

  • her lyrics r one of the deepest that i have ever heard their beautiful T.T

  • There were some nights where I would find myself sitting against the wall in my room with a razor and singing this song outloud, almost like a maniac. Strange as that may sound, it kept me from actually hurting myself for a while, and I think it's what brought me to quitting.

    I LOVE YOU PLUMB!!!

    And:

To everyone who's struggling to quit, you AREN'T alone.

    Have hope!

  • God bless u

  • I've done that a few times. I ran out of my house and just ran. Found myself in a clearing in the local forest and started singing at the top of my lungs. I've stopped but it's really hard.

  • Some of the most beautiful words ever. Pain most can never understand, but hope will heal."I have found the best way to explain my cutting is describing it as a silent scream. It's something that I hate doing but love doing."

  • The lyrics are so moving. She captures the feelings of many people perfectly ... including me x

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant!

  • Thank you so much for putting this up. It's an amazing vid. I experimented with cutting for a while, but I don't anymore. Even so, this song brings up a lot painful memories for me... but that doesn't mean I don't like it. Thanx again^_^

  • But look at all the people who will listen to this song now that it´s techno who would miss it if it had been left as the original, which does not appeal to so many other people. The message is still out there and it doesn´t have to be a sad song. Talking about these issues helps.

I´ve had friends who are cutters and it helps me understand them better and not judge them for what they do. I would not listen to this song so much if it were the original version. This version is really good.

  • i am trying to stop cutting... pleaz dont judge them. im not saying u do but i beg u to not judge them because ppl have done this to me. my "freind" left me and ignored me when she saw my cuts. it was very hurtful. it just made me cut more. i will try explaining that when i cut, i forget that numbness and weight in my heart for a few moments. also there are times when i am extremely upset with myself and want to hurt myself. i allways regret it later.

  • u can talk 2 me if u want to

  • well thank u. ^.^

  • No one who understands this pain would ever judge. I know what you mean about the numbness, and the ache inside...it's awful. But it ends, you have to know that. Thanks to Plumb's music I'm alive, and have gone almost a year without cutting. I'm here for anyone who needs to talk, and...

    THANK YOU PLUMB!! x

  • simply put its about how most people who cut are those who feel numb and they need to feel that rush to feel alive

  • MadChick, this song has everything to do with cutting. If you would watch the video of Plumb's interview on CNN, she talks all about it there!

  • I was being sarcastic.

    I was a self-harmer.

and I have seen the interview.

  • On the original video...someone actually said this song had nothing to do with cutting.

Hmm, yes, of course it doesn't.

It's a beautiful song, full of meaning.

    x

  • regardless of what everyone els thinks.... this song and the beat are good. so (sticks toungh out) so what if it blows the meaning. its Techno thats the perpose to dance and have a good time listing not to judge.

  • I disagree mate, a techno song should have a good flow to it, and every sound should have meaning and purpose, otherwise, you have a complete and utter mess.

  • this song however, is no mess, everything works and this mix is so much better than the original! :)

  • the first time I heard this song was on a dance station called WMPH 91.7 and I found out this song was not originally recorded like this...but I like this remix since this is how I first heard it..sort of reminds me of Tori Amos

  • here's my take on it-

she wrote the song for cutters (challenge me on that. i dare you.) and its supposedly supposed to be a ballad... And to put techno to a ballad, even something that sounds amazing like this... Takes away from the message of the song. Love the music, just... Not with this song.

  • she made it not necesarily for cutters but for pple who are emotionally cut as well pple who have neen cut down emotionaly but for cutters as well

  • in my eyes, it takes away the message of the song. everybody has his own way of thinking about it. but the origenel one, is in my eyes better.

  • I love this video. I love the way they remixed it.

  • god i want a 40 right now

  • I think that the remix isn't very good, so just give me a thumbs down for my honest opinion; I don't care. But her voice, the melody of it, just doesn't go.

  • Your allowed to have your own opinion. I think it's better than the original, but then again trance is my favorite kind of music.

  • This song is beautiful! It was a great way to take a song I would have otherwise avoided and turned it into one of my favorites.

  • let me refrase: don't want to think it's physical. Si da, e rupere de vene...

  • rupere de vene...

  • haha your speaking mexican

  • Emotional cut, not phisical you morons

  • I <3 Plumb's voice!

I'm a big fan of well remixed songs like this one. =)

  • plumb kickx ass with all of their songs all of them have something behind then that mean alot to people

    heh plumb rockx

personaly i like the slower one better but that just how i am but yeah this rexim is great also

  • Why dont you go listen to your fairytale Enya crap and leave REAL world songs alone?

  • <3<3<3!!

  • Love her voice and the song.

  • seriously, all you people that say "i am a cutter too" probably dont understnad half of what your saying. if you truely had an issue you would be screaming it to the world, thats just stupid. so stop doing it just for attention. This is a good song, it shows a lot of what epople are going through, and i personally think a lot of people can relate to thsi song, becasue a lot of people TRUELY have an addiction to something that is hard to get over.

  • omg i personally cut myself, n i love her voice but non cutters f u for posting offensive comments about this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!u dont get me and u cant relate to this song because u suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol, plus i love the remix its less sad

  • love the comment it rock it's really true

  • this is exactly how i feel

  • this song is my diary screaming out loud. I only feel something when that something is hurt. It's not always fair, but pain isn't painful when your used to it everyday.

  • i feel the same way. i hope all gets better for u. peace.

  • i love this song..its just like how i feel at times

  • I like this version better I don't feel so sad at the end of it.

  • This Song is the best vocal trance :)

  • THIS SONG RULZ

  • i agree, this one is as good as the original

  • i Like about this song is that it talks about slef maniplutaion....

  • i think it's talking about emotionally cut, but anyway...

  • I saw an interview with Plumb where she talked about the song and it's definitely about cutting, the physical kind.

  • the remix is as gud as the original. i know the songs meant to be really sad but i dont think it loses meaning. just the other one was more potent and emotional i think.

  • I find it interesting, there are alot of singers out there who do Beleive in God and who do sing, perhaps above the surface, that love Jesus and sing about his love just hidden, and we take it for..something else, but really we are all being exposed by christian singers all the time without our knoledge at all. Thats an encourgment to me.

  • Who care's what faith the artist is when the song sounds beautiful. :)

  • Just because it doesn't talk about God or Christianity doesn't mean it's not Christian! Plumb is a Christian group and has been around 4 a while. Christian groups try 2 reach differnt groups of ppl through songs like this.

  • awesome song plus the remix is pretty cool

  • I Like the Remix Version of this 1..

  • I LOVE THE RE-MIX!!! YAY! ^-^

  • Totally and awesomely neat. Even though it ruins the purpose of the song being sad and meaningful, this remix sounds pretty cool.

  • There a lot of trance songs that have meaningful lyrics and are full of emotion.

  • i luv dis remix its rali gud!!!

  • awesome

  • finally a christian song with a dance mix xD praise God! lol

  • christian song? yeah, i don't think so...she doesn't make any mention of god or faith

  • how is it a christian song?

  • To allow awareness to everyone that God accepts uhm..maybe anyone in any stage in life..it says "im not alone" or perhaps...

  • Awesome!! Thank you!!

  • whoever synced this up... good job. i love this mix.
