I only had the first 2 volumes on VHS back in the day, but it has stuck in my mind, haunting me ever since. I really need to get the complete DVD set at some point and finish the series.
I would say if you enjoyed Serial Experiments Lain, this anime is perfect for you. I would also say, if you've never heard of Lain - GTFO you Narutard!
I used to watch this along with other great anime's back in the silver age of anime (early 1990's-2000's)...that time was a great time to be a a teenager...maan...
Perhaps one of the most underrated titles I've seen. It's really a worthwhile anime with enough mystery, plot twists and powerful music to keep you hooked on the series. Just wish more people knew about it since most folks familiar with 1990s anime tend to think of stuff like Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, Trigun and Princess Mononoke.
@PlatinumGeist I'm with you all the way there. I've got two copies (just in case). It's an absorbing anime, if there ever was one. It's psycho-drama, but more action than Lain, and more heart-felt than "Perfect Blue". And most of the music is gorgeous.
Listenning to this...It feels like a cold city night, looking from the top of a building to the city and car lights, while the wind breeze blows your hair...
Well how I used to do it is that when I got on the internet it would come up!! and it was windows 9 or 10 but if that does not work then maybe try myspace and look up the name of the song and get it from there.
i love key ♥_♥!!! XDXD

Kinda like chobits, ghost in the shell all mixed up in one...good series, but too complex, and confusing.

This animé is so good that you will have no regrets buying. I think the lowest review I've ever read of Key the Metal Idol has been 4 stars.

The japanese version is so off tone and nowhere near as sonorous as the english version, no comparison at all
