  • Robin Moore was a good man. I respected and loved the man. I first met Robin in Rhodesia in the year 1978. He helped me out immensely. I thanked my lucky stars for knowning him. A Crippled Eagle.

  • he co wrote the song "the ballads of the green berets"

  • Zion this guy wasn't even KIA. Cut out your faggot trolling. No one gives a rat crap about your crazed theories.

  • its the universal soldier, and he realy is to blame.

whithout him caesar would have stood alone, and could this killing not go on.

  • Thank you for sharing this, thank you sir for your service, and bless your family.

  • I personally knew Robin from back in the early 90's while attending a creative writing class of his. The video response is footage of one such visit.

Please excuse the crudeness of the footage. I converted from VHS to DVD and then could only do a screenie of the DVD footage.

I actually deticated my first book (the one he guieded me in writing) to him (ALEX: First Wave under the pen name Z.A. Alister on amazon books).

I miss you my friend. Thank you for your inspiration.

  • Farewell Comerade. From an old Scottish soldier , Argyll's forever,.

  • @tonysshadow

HE IS UNITED STATES MILITARY!! WHAT THE F@1#! DOES "BLACK" HAVE TO DO WITH IT. BY THE WAY, I AM WHITE WITH THREE GENERATION'S OF BERET'S IN MY FAMILY. IF YOU ARE FORMER USMC THEN YOU SHOULD KNOW WHERE THE PURPLE BERET IS FROM!!!!!

  • @tonysshadow Show some respect! That "Black" soldier is a Lt.Col incase you haven't notice. And that purple beret is not purple its red. And he real name for it is called a "Maroon Beret". Those are earned by soldiers who jump outta planes into combat for a living. He was probally the C.O. in charge of the funeral who stands in the background as he also pays his respect to the Fallen soldier or civillian.

  • Honneur et respect !

    God bless Robin Moore

  • Bless your soul, Mr. Moore. HOOAH!!!! See you, on the other side brother!!!

  • SF has lost a true friend and a great ally thank you Mister Moore. you have done us a hell of a great service.

    Paladin.

  • I'm sorry to take away focus Mr. Moore, but I just wanted to know, when is it apropriate for someone to wear their dress blue uniform to a funeral instead of their class A? I just never knew because I thought mourners who are active duty wear their dress blues to show the highest respect possible to the deceased. I just wanted to know. Thanks.

  • I have seen members of the SF appear before a Congressional Committee wearing their "A's".

  • Wearing the Army Dress Blue is a manner of personal choice when attending a ceremony as an individual soldier in example his or her own wedding. If that soldier is attending a ceremony as a detail or group, then that soldier must wear the uniform of the day as prescribed by the C.O. of that unit as an example Color guard, casket detail, etc.

  • Many people didn't even know that the great man, Robin Moore, a truly generous soul, spent his last years in Hopkinsville, Ky. It was there that he befriended newsbrother and that friendship is reflected in the fact newsbrother made this video account of the funeral. Newsbrother actually introduce me to Robin Moore, and I wrote about him for the newspaper I was working for at the time. By the way, I am in this video (slightly). I'm in all black and I'm wearing shades. I was proud to be there.

  • Robin Moore has died. I salute for a great man and patriot. i guess a lot of germans where served in the us-army remember him.

god bless robin moore and all the servicemembers of the us-army.

thx newsbrother..and my best regards from Heidelberg/Germany!

  • Awesome Video! I love the song, Green Berets. It feels like I was a part of it when I couldn't be there! Thanks Newsbrother!
