this song and the art of beatrix potter has always been a great inpiration for me and is a part of why i draw. I always thought about her as magical, and it is magic to draw you start with a clean paper and some pencils then you can create anything thats within you own imagination. to create something new from just basic materials like fabric or colour is one kind of magic, in this world there are many kindsof magic we just don't see it like that.

I remember taking my nephew out 2walk 2park as we did every morning knowing it was going 2rain. I took him back 2house singing "Rain, rain go away" & when we got home I put in "Peter Rabbit" into VCR. He flapped his little hands (autism) still nonverbal at 3 yrs old & then looked @ me crying with this song playing & got close 2 me & looked concerned. It was 1st instance I had noticed him pay attention 2 another's emotion. When he was little & I was engineer he'd bring me my shoes in the morning.

Ok, so I searched on Amazon and found these 2-pack dvds with live (moving) animation of the series, which began and ended with actors and actresses playing Beatrix Potter and others. But I recall watching videos as a little girl that were different. The stories were only frame by frame pictures of the original sketches that had soft music and a narration over it, that looked very much like this slideshow, instead of the moving dubbed over animation. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

i visited Beatrix Potters house, hilltop farm in the summer in the lake district. it is very fascinating. and all the furniture in its original place. i recommend visiting there if you are a beatrix potter fan like myself!
