It is so uplifting to hear this song again, How Great Thou Art was one of my Parents favorite songs and this rendition just rocks me to my knees. I humbly bow my head and reach up to the heavens and proclaim "My God, How Great Thou Art" It is time for these Gospel songs to resurface and bring Christ back up to the forefront of the world today and all Christians need to stand up and proclaim Christ as our "Lord and Master" again, all it takes is accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior.

i had never seen her perform live and ive been a fan of hers ever since she won american idol. she is just amazing! and i was actually lucky enough to be in the same room as they did a photo shoot for people magazine that all the girls from the show did and she was the most humble, sweet quiet one out of all the girls. shes so adorable. so glad u all love the video. i couldnt wait for the rest of the wolrd to see this show particualrly this performance. she killed it w those notes at the end!

First, Carrie's HGTA performance was incredible & jaw-dropping. Second, I wonder why ACM or the producers did NOT allow Carrie to sing a solo on the final "Coal Miner's Daughter"? After all, Carrie deliverd the best song on last year's Loretta Lynn tribute cd & was handpicked by Lynn to be on her cd - what the hell? She looked a bit off knowing she would not sing a part.. was this on purpose? Did Carrie overshadow the others and thus penalized and told not to sing? Anyone know? Please help

@morgan101967 Being a singer, I would imagine that her voice was pushed to it's limit in this performance and to sing a back to back number could have easily strained her vocal chords. Believe me, it wasn't to slight her in any way. I mean look at it rationally, they just scheduled her to have the last position in this show that was FULL of Country Music Royalty. She deserved it and was FANTASTIC!

As she said before this song, she hope her emotions would make through the whole song.
